The reception to Aaron's telling Suny and Nicky that they were at fault was so vicious that it (along with body-shaming) has led Danny Miller to leave Twitter.
I am not a huge Aaron fan, but I do feel like some of the responses are out of proportion. I've heard people saying that Aaron has been ruined, but Aaron was always a "not like other gays" gay man. It's just easier to forget when Aaron was in a bubble with Robert and Liv (and you can bet your ass Robert would have victim-blamed too).
I will say the show erred in making Aaron all nasty all the time, but this is what Danny Miller seemingly wants and the show as a whole is so unpleasant now anyway.

From mocking Paddy's suicide attempt, to mocking and taunting Nicky and Suni for the hate crime they experienced, I really think that the producers and writers have gone overboard. Yes, Aaron's always had a big mouth, and he's really not the friendliest of people, but he at least had a compassionate side (imo). The scene with Nicky and Suni also made zero sense to me! Apart from the fact that he knows what it's like to be beat up for being gay, he BARELY knows Nicky and Suni. So, I was just sitting there like why is he cruelly mocking these poor guys (that he barely knows) like he hates their guts??? It's one thing to cruelly antagonize people he knows and resents (like at least with Paddy and Chas, we can analyze what's causing this attitude), but it's another thing to be SO vicious and cruel to random characters he hasn't even really interacted with, and who have done nothing at all to cause him any kind of strife. It felt like he woke up being like 'oh nice, I'll go for a walk and find some random to have a go at today, that'll make me happy!'
