For anyone who might be wondering what has happened to Ethan (who has actually featured in quite a few recent episodes), John Do, who provides the clips has said he is no longer covering the character.  So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu Ethan! |

MegaSoapFans2020 does seem to be filling the gap - as they have Ethan clips in the period where John Do hasn't been uploading them: www.youtube.com/channel/UCD5geDr-S0ruwHsQzXlmRmw/videosThey don't have a specific playlist for Ethan, but you can use the search to find the relevant videos which nicely include date (and sequence information - i.e. part 1, part 2) so one can watch them in sequence. |

I have a feeling Ben won't make it much longer. They never bothered to properly develop his relationship with Aaron, and he has the vibe of a character viewers will be asked to sort of care about, but not enough to where they will care if heinous Meena kills him. I hope I'm wrong, as I think he's a good community character, whether he's with Aaron or not.

Absolute garbage. This is the third of Aaron's lovers to die in a decade, two of them while with him. And just for more misery and false drama. No wonder Danny has had enough. Ben was abused by his father, bullied by Aaron, and has now been brutally murdered. That they introduced the character solely for so much misery, followed by being more shock value fodder in a beyond gross serial killer story that relies on killing off women (and now a gay man) to get a reaction. With our "yas kween" serial killer no less.
This show has fallen so far.

Sadly this has become an all-too-common trope on Emmerdale. Finn's killing - by his own mother, no less - was similarly senseless.
That being said, I doubt this is what tipped Danny Miller into leaving the show. His portrayal of Aaron always thrived on him being miserable and I felt he phoned it in when Aaron was having happier, less dramatic times in his life. If anything, I'm surprised he chose to quit at this point!
Maybe he might've had a more interesting storyline with Mackenzie but the show didn't have the courage to pull the trigger on that and chose to saddle Mack with Charity instead (a pairing which makes zero sense for either of them!) while giving us the tired trope of bullying by a closet case as foreplay.
I wonder what's next for Ethan, the sole remaining gay in the village. He has no love interests and doesn't belong to any of the established families.
