It's because of the EURO 2020 Football matches. This was really Friday's episode postponed until Sunday due to a live England v Scotland match on TV. |

It must have trickled back to the writers' room that what they were doing with Mackenzie was nothing but queerbaiting if they didn't intend to actually have him express same-sex attraction and enter into a gay relationship.
I just wish Ben was more interesting. Oh, and that he wasn't the latest retread of that tired and offensive trope of the bullying victim falling for his bully.
