And I also thought he'd be the villain in the beginning... but then again the bad guys are mostly unknown (that's why those are unsolved cases), so... xD No, the vid worked fine for me ^^ |

Well, the eye make-up was a bit ridiculous, but he looked quite fierce. ;D Some passages really reminded me of Lenny though (e.g. the cell phone scene at the end). And wow, I haven't watched Aktenzeichen for like 13 years. But they still have the same narrator.  So nostalgic! I used to watch it a lot when I was kid. That's why I always looked for suspicious cars and stuff like that back then. XD |

I think this a newly shot advert actually. He looks more mature and like Felix, he seemed to really mature this year. I was looking back at some old episodes of Lenny and Carsten, the ones at the bund, and Alex especially looks so much younger. Like Alienamy said, I think I love him even more now.  |

So poor Carsten thinks he's in prison and here he is, making one short film after another ;D I wonder what Alex thinks now about his decision leaving GZSZ. While it's not so long yet, this does not look like a big break, yet. He got better opportunities on the show than this.

I read a news article online about Alex leaving the show and it said translated with Google so not 100% accurate that insiders on the show said it was no surprise to them that Alex was leaving because " he wasn't made for a show as popular as GZSZ" I have read often that he's a private person maybe he just couldn't handle the fame and he wants to be less in the spot light?
It will be interesting to see what he does next and if that's true or if he goes on an equally popular show

Some actors just like to take work that isn't as popular and is more independant. So yeah maybe GZSZ was too big or mainstream for Alex. For example, take the actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Only until recently has he taken bigger more mainstream movies, before he did little independant movies with hardly any funding like Mysterious Skin, Brick, The Lookout, Manic which meant that not many people knew who he was. So maybe Alex is more suited to these kind of roles, than being more in the spotlight, so to speak. I don't know what it is like in Germany but not many people in soaps, when the leave, go on to do much more. Sarah Lancashire who was Rita in Corrie has gone onto an amazing career and their was Will Mellor who was in Hollyoaks, but not many actors make it big after soaps. Is it the same in Germany?? I'm rather a lurker regarding the board for this show but just let me add my little knowledge about German soaps and then I'm back to lurking It's pretty much the same in Germany. Many actors/actresses who played a role in a soap often are considered as "the person who played in a soap" (<- insert eye roll here) and somehow, this fact kinda diminishes their work as an actor/actress. That's why many leave their show after a while. I *think* that GZSZ is one of the few soaps in Germany (or the only one  ) with actors and actresses who became famous during the show and afterward. But I only know a few examples. IMO it's sad that their work is somewhat "less worth" just because they work for a soap. It's a tough job nevertheless but many people can't appreciate that. *goes back to lurking* |
