I don't think Roxy will come between Christian and Syed, at least not in the intentional, conniving and scheming way that usually happens in soaps. She won't go on a quest to turn Christian straight. Besides, there are a lot of spoilers out there about Roxy getting together with Micheal, which makes it seem like this might still be a "who's the daddy" storyline, despite what John Partridge said in the Digital Spy interview.
I still think it would be more dramatic, and make more sense for any potential baby to be Syed's. That would cause so much more drama for the Masood's and the Beal's.

I can't wait for Chryed to return. I don't know why there are constant long absences of them in the show.
Anyway, Roxy's pregnancy will definitely cause more rifts between these two. However, it will be even more surprising if Amira returns with a baby (it has been nine months since her departure). Since there is no rumor of Preeya Kalidas' return, it is also likely that they can write her off due to the complication of the birth and she wished to let Syed have the baby before she died.
EDIT - It makes perfect sense if they go with Syed's baby route because I really don't see they can keep viewers interested in Christian/Syed/Roxy storyline for next nine months. With the baby, Syed might finally reconcile with his family. The current surrogate plot is a just prelude to the real story.
Unless they have to do this because Rita Simons (Roxy) is pregnant in real life. Any rumor or announcement on that?

I like to know myself why they have long periods in between chyred as well. From what I read and heard they are a very popular couple unless it's not true. I really wish they would be on more often. I know there's other character but still chyred could still me on maybe not front and center.

I gave up on trying to understand Chryed absences. In the past, they've been gone for months at a time, without explanation. I've never been a huge fan of the couple, but that's one of the things that's driven me away.  |

I loose interest as well some time, but John and Marc have so much good chemistry when they come back on they draw me back in.

*sigh* Again, Chryed is going hiatus. Don't know what storyline they can have without the baby drama.
Edit- just read the DS interview JP gave, so there is hope that new storyline is as compelling as he hinted. No Amira or her baby in sight, and no surrogacy. I wonder what it can be.

Syed will be back on the 28th.
I hope this is leading up to a storyline, and that the reason for the absences is that Syed and Christian's story will intersect with whatever is going to happen with the rest of Syed's family. But, I've seen this before from Brian Kirkwood, he leaves characters in limbo, instead of building up to a climax. He's all about putting the emphasis on the climax, or stunt, instead of on character development.

The accident happens during Tam and Alfiia's(sp) engagement party, so I guess Tamwar insisted that Syed be invited to the party.

I edited one of the spoilers, it looks like Syed will take Tanya's side against Roxy's, and he and Tanya will become business partners. Some eagled eyed fans noticed that the sign for Roxy's salon is missing in the spoiler pictures.
One of the spoilers for Tanya says: Tanya is reaching the end of her tether with Roxy at the salon.
So, maybe Syed helps Tanya take the business away from Roxy.

If Syed is going into business with Tanya, that's a good thing: it will give him something to do--finally! Also, I wonder whether it might end up bringing him closer into Jane's orbit, since she and Tanya are good friends, and Jane will be looking for a new job in the near future, I imagine.
They are definitely reconfiguring things these days. It will be interesting to see where things go.

That interview with John a while back suggested that Christian and Syed would have a big storyline this year. I have hope. There has been so much reconfiguring of relationships, etc. of late: it's got to be going somewhere.

Just posted a spoiler picture of syed. Even knocked out and bleeding marc eliot looks fit as fuck haha  and i hope this means we get alot of worried christian and drama, and the arguement between Z, M, C and S << should be entertaining, i love me so juicy drama xD |

I'm looking forward to these two getting married, even though they never worked out their problems. Mainly, even though the article doesn't mention it, I'm looking forward to see how Syed deals with being a father. I hope they don't save that to some later date, and that it comes out during Syed's attempt to get a divorce.

Personally I would have preferred they gave them a different kind of storyline before the wedding but I love them and I'm happy anyway and I can't wait to see them front and central in another important sl.

Someone on FB pointed out that it was the Mirror that reported that the surrogacy storyline would be one of the biggest storylines of the year, so we will have to wait to see if this actually happens. |

I don't know how I feel about Christian doing the proposal in the aftermath of Syed being left out (again). I get where they're going with this: creating a new family, etc., but I would rather have seen come from a different place--more the culmination of things rather than a replacement for Syed's family, I guess. Does that make sense?
