It does seem like Tuner's the one who's closest to Reimann. Like, when they were ogling Amos' car and waiting for the cops to finish stuffing their faces, Tuner asks Reimann, "Everything okay?" - so he's aware that there's something not right. Despite his obnoxious behavior, he's actually being a good friend to Reimann. *hearts Tuner*
It'd be interesting to see how he reacts to Reimann's homosexuality. I'd love to hear his stupid comments (which are always very hilarious, moreso in the original German, I'd say - I always try to translate them as well as I can, but I think it sounds always better in the original) when he hears about it. *snickers*

Hm, that's what I was thinking about "all" the day. It cames up to my mind, that maybe there is a way, the gang would accept the relationship. Perhaps it's totally nonesense, but the gang only exists cause they have each other. They demonstrate their strength just with and in this group. They are going to be lost, if the gang tears apart. So maybe there is a chance. ...Hm, just speculating. Well, Carsten will make friends with Dominik, i don't think there won't be many space for Tuner or the Scholzis. hm, possibly. But at the moment I can't imagine, that they will dissolve the gang so quickly. No fighting anymore from one day to the other. I mean, I don't like the fighting stuff that much, but it would appear a bit sudden. And despite of the fighting thing and the teasing in the gang, they seem to be relative close to each other. And I don't think that Tuner and Co. are really mad guys. They just need some action to raise up their self-esteem. Hm, but that are only my feelings about it.

Don't get me wrong. I love Tuner and i wanna keep this big idiot. He's just so hilaroius. But Dominik and Tuner are so diffrent. I mean, Domink is more the quiet understanding guy and Tuner... we all know what he is. *g* If they're just hanging out with Lenny is vague. Could imagine this more. The gang seems to be less aggresive since Diver is gone, so maybe... It could be funny... if they don't have such problems with beeing gay because of the fuss Lenny make (Do it again and i'm gonna tell the guys what a f*g**t you are). Honestly, it is just Lenny who stands in the way. I could imagine something like that: Lenny and Carsten are together. Tuner finally realizes what happend and he's just saying something like: Dude, that's why you don't hang out with us anymore? and everything is fine. xD Yes, dreaming is nice.

I can't imagine it in an other way/more "romantic" way. But it it's an image which is working for me. On the other hand, I can't say anything about Dominik and the future friendship Reimann/Dominik. I am not a regularly GZSZ watcher on TV. I don't know that character. So there are no comparisons possible for me.

I'm hoping lenny eventually comes to terms with his sexuality. For now he's so lost and fairly mean to Carsten. So I'd like Carsten to remove himself from Lenny's orbit. Let Carsten make his own friends,,, deal with his own sexuality without "Mister Angry all the time". I hope Carsten becomes cool with his homo-ness, makes friends or even potential love interests. Thats when I want Lenny to notice and get jealous. Lenny tries to come to terms with being gay but Carsten refuses Lenny's attempts at reconciliation. Thats because I want Lenny to have to work for it...I want him to beg Carsten to let them be close again. Lenny has to earn it. Carsten deserves that after all the abuse he's suffered at the hands of Lenny. I understand why Lenny is behaving that way to carsten I just think he should have to earn Carsten's trust back and eat a little crow in the process.

Ahahahahaha. The spoilers for today are awesome. *snickers*
Yeah, having sex with other guys just happens on a whim? Oh yeah, best excuse for not being gay that I heard. *snorts* Reimann, get a grip and come out! Do the multiple choice test in the magazine you snagged, titled: "Am I Gay?". And don't faint if the outcome is 'Duh.' *snickers*

Well I think this news about Carsten is very exciting. Human beings are infinitely complicated. Good for him for talking to Lucy and just working the shit out. We all have to do it. He'll figure it out, he's just got to wrap his mind around it. I can't tell you how many gay men have had this exact same conversation in college, WITH ME!!! It's what we do. ROLL WITH IT CARSTEN, JUST KEEP MARCHING DOWN THE PATH OF TRUTH BABYBOY!!!
As for Lenny, all he has basically done is deny his feelings and use a few harsh words. He hasn't done anything so awful to Carsten as far as I'm concerned. They fought, got that out of their system, had a few arguments then came to a truce of half/mutual denial: Lenny would deny EVERYTHING and Carsten would deny Lenny's part in things.
The "hard on in the show" incident just upped the ante for Carsten.
Yeah, Carsten's feelings are hurt and it would be NICE if Lenny and he could take this journey together, at the same time, on the same page but life doesn't always work that way.
Lenny is a sweet, kind, good-natured guy who's already been gay bashed and tortured about being gay BEFORE he's even had a gay experience/feeling so I think he's allow 5 more truck loads of reticence/fear/anger.
There is nothing wrong with Lenny that getting away from Emily and THE GANG and having a heart to heart talk with someone who loves him, whom he trusts, won't judge him wouldn't cure. That's what Lenny needs. He's a good guy and I think it's interesting that his instincts about Carsten were correct which says to me that Lenny understands, senses and knows a lot more than he let's on.
Case in point, when Lenny was "sleeping" and Carsten first started touching him, Lenny didn't jump up in shock and anger, he was scared but not shocked. His response was not the response of a guy who is ACTUALLY homophobic. That to me was the first sign that Lenny wouldn't be shocked to learn Carsten may have had a little bit of "gay" in his past. FASCINATING!!!
I would hate to see Carsten get all bitchy and judgmental and hollier-than-thou with Lenny should Lenny come to his senses any time soon. I agree Carsten should get some distance and find some gay friends and even date if he finds someone he likes but mostly just so he can figure his own stuff out not to make Lenny jealous. As Lucy says, it sucks to have feelings for someone who can't return them (for whatever reason) but Carsten's bigger picture is that he needs to figure out what's going on with him and if he's bi or gay and how that's going to manifest in his life now.
I think with Lucy in the loop Lenny will have more support than he thinks once he has more time to figure out how to get out of his own way and actually DEAL with what's happening to him. But his anger and fear of rejection comes from a deep, real place and you can't just wish that away, he has to work through it.
The last thing I want to say is that Lenny and Carsten have both had very fucked up relationships with men: their fathers . It's something they have in common but it's also something that can make seeing a man as a trusted source of love and kindness and warmth, very difficult. Yet another obstacle to overcome.
What Carsten says about men and sex and there not being "love" is a very telling thing. Even if he can get past the "I'm gay or I'm bi", can he really see himself having a boyfriend?

Well I think this news about Carsten is very exciting. Human beings are infinitely complicated. Word. I love this, that they're not just drawing from a blank slate here. He's had a past, and a messy one at that - like everyone else. *loves the show for this* Yeah, Carsten's feelings are hurt and it would be NICE if Lenny and he could take this journey together, at the same time, on the same page but life doesn't always work that way. Word. Sometimes you have to wait for the other one to catch up. *nods* There is nothing wrong with Lenny that getting away from Emily and THE GANG and having a heart to heart talk with someone who loves him, whom he trusts, won't judge him wouldn't cure. That's what Lenny needs. Too bad that I can't see anyone around whom Lenny would trust and listen to. Sure, there's Lucy, but she's his little sister and a woman to boot. Man, I wish they would have thought to include Leon in that. Lenny has always looked up to Leon who was the first to teach him boxing, aaand - Leon's brother is gay (he fell in love with a DJ on the show in 1997 - they were a seriously cute couple, too), so he knows what it's like and could tell Lenny that it happens, and that you're still a real guy even if you prefer men. Eh, well. He's a good guy and I think it's interesting that his instincts about Carsten were correct which says to me that Lenny understands, senses and knows a lot more than he let's on. *nods* Lenny doesn't buy Carsten's bullshit about never having had something with guys. Very perceptive. :-) That to me was the first sign that Lenny wouldn't be shocked to learn Carsten may have had a little bit of "gay" in his past. FASCINATING!!! I actually think that it would be somewhat of a relief to Lenny if they'll actually get together - at least one of them knows what to do! XD I would hate to see Carsten get all bitchy and judgmental and hollier-than-thou with Lenny should Lenny come to his senses any time soon. It wouldn't fit him as a character, too. Whereas I could see that with Roman as he's quite a bit of a diva, but Carsten's always been a very fair guy who does things by the book. Otherwise Lenny wouldn't even have become friends with him, I think. Agree 100%. Carsten needs to take a step back and look at his life and what he really wants, who he really is. And if he can accept for himself that he's gay, and what that really entails. Remember how he dissed the gay couple at the Mauerwerk? He is just as prejudiced as Lenny and has to work through that, too. But his anger and fear of rejection comes from a deep, real place and you can't just wish that away, he has to work through it. I do love the show for not making Lenny go, "Oh, so I'm gay. I fancy Reimann. Great, let's make out now!" because - WHAT. That wouldn't gel with his past in the least bit. But like this? Anger, fear, rejection, the whole shebang? That's what it's like. Perfect. The last thing I want to say is that Lenny and Carsten have both had very fucked up relationships with men: their fathers . It's something they have in common but it's also something that can make seeing a man as a trusted source of love and kindness and warmth, very difficult. Yet another obstacle to overcome. *nods* I think the only good relationships with men that Lenny had were his mother's ex, Henrik, and Leon. But seeing as Henrik's gone and Leon's got his own stuff to deal with, there never was time to develop a real bond that could be a real source of support instead of Alexander's constant put-downs of Lenny. Gah. What Carsten says about men and sex and there not being "love" is a very telling thing. Even if he can get past the "I'm gay or I'm bi", can he really see himself having a boyfriend? *nods* That's a whole different can of worms, too. I'm so looking forward to see how the two boys will deal with it, too. *giggles* Lenny's usually pretty averse to PDAs with Emily (only when he has to prove that he's so totally straight, he'll snog her in public), what will it be like when he's with Reimann? Heh!

As much as I love their interaction together, I really love watching their single stories of dealing with being gay too.

Sooo, today we finally got some info about Carsten's past. Apparently, he had been sexually involved with both women and men... I don't know how to feel about that, I think I would've preferred it if he didn't have gay experiences yet, it's just a bit cliché because he IS the more experienced one now and only Lenny is new to this thing... well, technically at least, Carsten said it was the first time he was emotionally attached to a guy. But as you already mentioned, it's realistic and also kind of funny (because well... when gay sex happens on a whim, that makes it sooo much less gay xD). I also think that even when Lenny is really really annoying in those scenes where he's overly aggressive, it's understandable. And in the recent cases I think that he wasn't deliberately mean, but that it was his typical ashamed defensive mechanism... I mean, he *was* willing to forget everything and even shook hands with Carsten, THEN his erection had to happen and now he thought that Carsten told Lucy everything. And as much as I like Lucy, I just found it incredibly stupid of her to blurt everything out I mean, Carsten confessed to her just a day ago, she promises not to tell a soul and... there she goes. But when Carsten came to his room to say goodbye, Lenny didn't react aggressive at all, he just seemed... tired. BTW, that scene was one of my very favorites ;O; I'm a real sucker for those 'You are/were my best friend!'-stories... :3

Yeah, Reimann and his girly ways. I'm more interested in how that'll play out... Emily: "WTF! You cheated on me with another girl!?!" *throws assorted objects at Lenny and then exits* Lenny: "But... shit." Landlord (impatient): "Will you take the flat, yes or no?" Reimann and Lenny at the same time: "YES!" Landlord: "Okay, you two can have it. Sign the contract here and here. Thanks, now have fun sharing the flat!" Lenny: "WHUT." Reimann: "Oh noes." *mutual headdesking* ;D ;D ;D

Not just because I'd totally love it. It would totally fit them. Both are being too stubborn to not take the flat, and Carsten would say that he has as much right as Lenny to be there and has no problem sharing a flat with him and ask Lenny if there's a reason why he wouldn't share a flat with him. And then Lenny'd reply that he has no problem with it either and they both go "Fine!" and - bang- they're sharing the flat. ;D Because this way, maybe, one night, Lenny gets lonely and he goes to Carsten's room and cuddles up to him and then... Well, I think most of us watched Brokeback Mountain and know what will happen then. ;D </end of my fantasy> But I'm really curious what Lenny will tell Emily... Yay, for the spoilers to being as cryptic as always!

I'm thinking Lenny will tell emily that Carsten hit on him and that Carsten can't get over him and that he's not interested of course and in a wave of bitterness and rejection carsten called emily a fake girlfriend.....

Fleeing his gay sexuality by vacationing in Ibiza? ? Why not go to a bathhouse instead??? I think they are both stunning and incredible actors. Their portrayals are so skilled and poignant it's hard for me to wrap my head around the idea that both are straight. Perhaps it's only prejudice (I hope not) but I usually think someone needs a spark of emotional connection to pull off roles like this.
