Luis has left the town by now. He moved to Graz with Lukas Sauer's character Adam. The breakup between Moritz and Luis happened very quickly. It seemed like it took the screenwriters by the surprise and made them change their original plans. Moritz is currently in a supporting role, but interacting with many different characters.

To bring you up to date what Moritz is currently doing: As mentioned, his involved with many different characters. To begin with, there are some episodes, in which he has still some lovesickness after Luis left. These are relatively few, though, and I assume, that they will fade out soon. It's not that this storyline can get another resolution.

Aside from that, he is involved in many scenes involving Emily, Katrin and other characters at his work.

But most interestingly IMO, they have his relationship with his stepfather Jo Gerner become friendlier again and have him develop a sort of friendship with new character Matilda Kaltenbach. Matilda is actually Gerner's daughter, that he didn't know about until recently (as it so often happens in soaps). In this case, they brought back the character Elinor Schwarz, who last appeared almost 30 years ago. Elinor was Gerner's former fiancee, who left him and the town on their wedding day. Gerner recently found out, that Elinor was pregnant, when she left, and that she had twins, Julian and Matilda. She later married a Mr Kaltenbach, which is why Elinor, Matilda and Julian all have the name Kaltenbach by now. Gerner tried to find his twin kids. Matilda is in town, but Julian right now is somewhere in the world without much contact to anyone.

The next part is nothing but hopeful speculation on my side, but it is based on the fact, that they gave Moritz so many scenes with Gerner and Matilda recently. I think it's obvious, that Julian as Gerner's son will be part of the series sooner or later. And in addition to this, we learned, that Matilda has another (half-)brother, a son from Elinor and Mr Kaltenbach, who is called Valentin. So in this storyline, there are two possible options for a new love interest for Moritz. As I said, please note that there are no facts or informations I'm basing this on, except that they give Moritz many scenes with the members of the family, that are already in town. I do not know when or if Julian and Valentin will appear in town (though in Julian's case, it's probably only a question of when) or if they might be interested in men.

Before Luis, Moritz was on the show for quite a while without a boyfriend, hopefully this drought won't last as long. I will miss Luis (and Marc Weinmann). Wish they'd at least kept Lukas Sauer around. Didn't really make sense to me he'd follow Lukas out of town just like that.
