We might want to write in order to thank them. Also, there are polls we can write into -- like this one:
It's summer vacation time! And in honor of that, the editors of Soap Opera Weekly have chosen the 20 most memorable soap remotes. Please vote for your favorite, or write in your choices to tellus@soapoperaweekly.com. Be sure to put "remotes" in the subject line. Thanks for voting and look for results in an upcoming issue!
I'm voting for Olli and Christian's trip to the beach!

I'd like to vote for Olli and Christian of Verbotene Liebe. They went to the beach in Dusseldorf. Here is a video link!

Thanks so much for all you do!!!
And while I'm at it, I'm going to vote in this poll:
Daytime has always been about love, love and more love. The editors at Soap Opera Weekly have narrowed the list of couples created between 1989 and 2009 (talk about a tough job!) and published them in the May 26 issue. Do you agree with our choices? Did we forget your favorite? Please vote, or write in your choices to tellus@soapoperaweekly.com. Be sure to put "couples" in the subject line. Thanks for voting and look for results in an upcoming issue!
I'll say:
Could you please honor a couple that has touched people around the world: Oliver and Christian of the German soap opera Verbotene Liebe? Oliver and Christian have offered a vision of couplehood that manages to show us romance and passion in even the most mundane moments -- the true passion of a true love. But they also show us the passion of heightened circumstance, of people staying together through the worst. Olli was gaybashed last year, and Christian stood by him. Now Christian has been diagnosed with a horrible heart condition, and he and Olli are struggling to cope.
This is a gay couple, but what thrills and chills is not that aspect, but the true love these men embody. They are not "that gay couple" but "that couple" -- the one I look to as a model, the one that reminds me of what love can and should be, the one that makes me think of the incredible love I have with my own love, my husband, and which has inspired renewed passion in that relationship.
I cannot tell you how much Olli and Christian have done for so many of us, I can only ask that you let others in on the secret.
Thanks!
A quick note: A lot of people here are not native English speakers. You are geniuses to me!!!! I am trying to learn German but it is difficult!!!! Just in case anyone is nervous about writing in English to one of these magazines, I just want to tell you not to ever worry. Everyone here has a voice that is distinct.
I have never read a post here that I could not appreciate -- even when I didn't agree. I just love the people who post here. This feels like a second-home; it's my "on-line neighborhood," complete with a "Land of Make Believe."
Anyway, I hope I do not offend!!! Thanks so much!
