Surprised its happening so soon and when there's a murderer still at large. I hope Noud is Lucas's best man.

I would be surprised if Noud ISN'T Lucas' best man. I've really enjoyed seeing a little more of their friendship. It was so sweet when Noud was really happy for Lucas when he got back together with Menno. I do wonder if Stefano will come back to Meerdijk for the wedding of his son. Not getting my hopes up because comas and dead boyfriends weren't reasons for him to come back. I also wonder if we'll get to see Menno's family. I mean, if we got to see Bilal's parents last year we should also get to see Menno's family.

Of course on the next day we have this spoiler: Lucas can't deal with a rejection. But I think it's probably because Menno didn't see this coming. AT ALL. It wouldn't surprise me if they're engaged by the end of Thursday's episode.

LOL.
I would have expected Menno to be the one to propose, but then it looks like he proposes the next day after he rejected Lucas. I think Mark's right, Menno probably was just too taken by surprise and was uncomfortable with the audience and everything. Then he can make sure he's absolutely ready for this level of commitment and he wants to be the one to ask.

I mean look at it from Lucas' point of view. When Edwin was in the hospital just before he died he and Lucas talked about getting married. One of the last things Lucas said to Edwin was that he wasn't going to get out of giving him that ring. No they (Lucas & Menno) haven't known each other that long. And yes it may be moving a bit fast for Menno. But looking at it from Lucas' perspective, there is no time like the present because tomorrow, hell even the next moment isn't promised to you. I think Lucas loves Menno and he's sure of him and for him its about why wait. I think for Lucas it about not wanting to wast time waiting or putting it off because all those things you want to say or should have said, ot wanted to do or should have done, can easily be taken from you in a blink of an eye.

I've just seen the shortie too, and it's weird, it looks like Wiet's challenging Lucas somehow, and then it's like he's proposing to Menno for show and to prove himself(?)
Maybe that's why Menno rejects him, and then they have a genuine engagement later on.

No, it's all Lucas' idea. They first want to organize a big party for Rik and Nuran. When Rik doesn't approve Lucas gets the idea to propose to Menno. It's impulsive but in my opinion very in character.

Menno wants a small wedding. So Wiet can't sing. Lucas: "But Wiet is not even 1 meter and 70 centimeters."

Lucas So does Menno's anxiety all come down to him just being a private, quiet person who doesn't want all the attention and spectacle of a big wedding, or is there something else going on, is the question.

I still think it's too soon (and Lucas is too inmature)

I don't think Menno will have a long lost son. In yesterday's episode Maxime was very emotional when she wrote a letter to someone called Vincent. In the shortie she's looking at an online profile of Vincent. He was born in 1992. So not a stepson for Lucas but probably a cousin.

And weren't they casting for a new 'hunk'?
But that means he can't be a love interest for Nina. And Rikki's got Sjoerd and Tim. So either Wiet or Nuran, right?

The show revealed on Twitter and Facebook that someone from the permanent cast killed Mike. So there's probably another cast member who's leaving.
I wonder if it's Nina. Marly is also in the main cast of a new series Verliefd op Ibiza. Based on the movie with the same title. Gigi (Lorena) was also in the movie but she only has a guest role in the series. I wonder if that's because she's still working at GTST while Marly isn't... And with Maxime having a long lost son they'll have a new Sanders to take her place.
I'm not sure about this because Aysen is probably going to find out the parachutes were switched. And If Nina was going to kill someone it would have been Mike.

Not sure what to think now. I just saw Monday's episode. The first one filmed after the summer break (the show will be in HD from now on). I was curious if they would change the opening. But no... Mike was still in it. But something I did notice is that Vincent Muller (Maxime's son) was already in the end credits even though he hasn't appeared yet. I think he's a new permanent character. But what worries me is that Menno wasn't in the end credits. Does that mean he's a guest role after all? Possibly. What's also possible is that Lucas and Menno go on a honeymoon for a few months (Ferry's temporary exit). Menno could be a permanent character when they come back. That way their contracts will start at the same time. I guess we'll have to wait and see... By the way, Vincent will be played by Oscar Aerts:

Yeah, if Lucas and Menno do actually get married, it wouldn't make sense for Lucas' husband to only be a guest character anymore.
But maybe the credits just reflect the official contracting. Dave may be a regular but just isn't signed on yet like Oscar would be for coming on to play Maxime's son.

Vincent will be in the opening tomorrow. Menno still isn't in the opening. But the show is still being mysterious about it so who knows?

The show revealed on Twitter and Facebook that someone from the permanent cast killed Mike. So there's probably another cast member who's leaving. That wipes out my Monica theory, but don't worry... I have another! If the parachutes were switched and Mike wasn't the intended target, then that, of course, takes the suspicion off everyone who had a motive to kill Mike, like Nina. The attention turns to Bing, Aysen and Wiet. I was trying to determine which of them is more capable of murder. I found it ironic that Mike, the one who died, is the cast member most capable of killing someone. Then it struck me... What if the person who killed Mike is... Mike! Perhaps he was intending to kill Nina or Noud or Lorena and when the parachute switch happened he ended up with the parachute that he himself had damaged. So poetic justice occurred and Mike's evil deed did him in. This technically satisfies the show's tweet that a permanent cast member did it since Mike was a permanent cast member at the time and in fact is still appearing in the opening credits. And no other permanent cast member would have to leave the show if this is the case. Hmm...
