Well, I'm happy to be wrong with my prediction about sex as a misplaced apology. What we saw today was probably one of the most mature love scenes (despite the playful nature) I've seen on TV in a long time. And I don't mean mature in the sense of "adult/pornographic". As is not childish or awkward.
WOW!
Thore has come a long, long way. And that makes me very heppy! The way he used his eyes today to (really) look at Olli was inspriational.
As "best scene" goes, it was the one in the booth. When they actually talked. Both actors/characters seemed invested and committed to the conversation.
*Zam needs a cigarette now*

Yay a whole 7 and half minutes of Ollian!

The first bedroom scene had a "realism" I don't associate with soaps. I know that people have had problems with the lighting, but I think they are trying to go for a more realistic, less "soapy" feel -- and I hope they keep trying. As for the love scene -- yeah, it was great. To quote Jayne from Firefly, "I'll be in my bunk." |

I think Rebecca's comedy bits (most notably the pratfall running to the sink) were a little sloppy and misguided. Yeah, we get it, she's like a puppy with her running and bouncing and excitability (as long as she doesn't pee on the floor), but... I just couldn't buy into it.

Watching it for the *cough* 3rd helping... with the "memories" song playing... am I the only one who thinks the love scene has a film noir cast to it? Wow... it was really good. Really! I'm still digesting. I'm sure I'll have lots more to say when Nanna gives us the subs. OH HAPPY DAY!  |

Everyone has sort of the same interests and I never feel like I am in a fight with someone. Love this scene haven't stopped smiling since, had to do a happy dance after reading your post Kes had to watch a scene from Firefly...even though I really should be studying for my ARKY exam this is so much more fun. |

You totally got the sense that they really wanted to work it out. Now, the kissing scene at the end! Best love scene since April 4th, 2008. Best sensual kiss, hands down, since Christian's very first dream version of the boxing kiss before he even realized he was gay. Awesome! <---also going to light a cigarette! ;D |

Totally agree with both Zam and Tikhon- thanks guys, you said articulately what I was wanting to say but too busy being giddy to say!
LOVED the booth scene in all kinds of ways- the love between them was so palpable it was awesome to see, the remorse from Olli and Christian, the desire to sort things out as soon as possible- even down to the casual way Christian slung his leg over Ollis, letting him n=know before they even really spoke that all was ok. There was just so much love there- actually almost even more than the love scene- if it wasn't for such a heartfelt "Ich liebe dich" which just utterly melted my heart!
And now I'm going for a swim since I don't smoke ;D

There was just so much love there- actually almost even more than the love scene- if it wasn't for such a heartfelt "Ich liebe dich" which just utterly melted my heart! So true. It was just so honest! And boy that look. So serious. GOSH. Still not really able to form coherent sentences  ;D *squeee* And a little cooling down wont hurt either, huh?!?! |

" Flippa, you took the words right out from under my keyboard (how did you do that?). On viewing the booth scene on the 2nd run through, I noticed the way Christian kept his leg draped over Olli's thigh and just thought to myself that kind of physicality says everything about their relationship in that moment. I just have to give major, major kudos to Jo & Thore for infusing these two characters with such believability, OK I'm off to watch again while anticipating Nanna'a sub..........Danke to all of you ;D |
