Now you know how we felt on the 1st of April. And I like your green shirt even better. I was a huge OC fan.

Indeed, you almost gave us a heart attack back then... I so fell for it... ;D I like the new spoilers! (And Christian does look great in the green shirt ) I'm so glad their next story is not going to be one involving a girl as part of a triangle.

Not every challenge in a relationship has to involve a third person infringing on the relationship. Indeed, that angle is so done to death it's almost laziness on the part of writers to use it all anymore.
I'm glad that, at least for now, Christian and Olli are going to be facing other issues. The coming out piece really isn't that annoying in Christian's case because at least part of it is about his career in boxing, which let's be honest isn't known for being friendly to non-hetero guys. I would suspect that maybe Christian's insecurity about being closeted could be part of what leads him to use steroids. It's worrisome though because of his existing criminal record. Not sure how the laws work in Germany but I would imagine he could get into a fair bit of trouble.

I don't think we know if he'll even take anything yet. It just says Oli thinks he did. I'm actually going to wager that Christian doesn't take anything. But I guess we'll see in a month! ;D

I'm curious where it goes. I hope it goes somewhere interesting I have to say, as a long term soap viewer, I don't necessarily think that third person obstacles are necessarily always worse than other types of obstacles. It really depends on what kind of obstacle. If it's a good obstacle => best thing ever. However if the characters who are supposed to be deeply in love squabble over really dumb things (and not in the form of realistic, a young couple would be aruging about these kind of things as they move in together and grow on each other, type of arguments) that to me is at least as annoying as a third person (though that too depends a lot on who the third person is and how they were introduced).

In Germany it's not illegal to take steroids, only selling them is. And it will get you banned from sports events for a couple of years.

I'm gonna predict that I'm gonna hate the doping storyline. A lot. On the other hand it is puuuuure Christian. He says no. His pride gets hurt and the begins to consider it.

It sounds like a good story to me, but hey look at it this way. At least it isn't a story in which one of them marries a girl they barely know for week, so that she can stay in the country for a green card, like a gay couple on a different soap I watch.

... or he doesn't fall in love with his female best friend (at least not for now! ) The new storyline seems not bad on the paper, I'm curious about it.

I'll take my fake marriage plot over that. At least I know, despite Ameera making advances, Noah still doesn't and never going to love her. But I'll still take Ollian over both of them. LOL yeah, I'm curious too in how this next story unfolds. I hope it's good.

I still reject that Deniz is actually in love with Vanessa but that he does love her. But that's to debate on the AWZ forum & I know folks on there know where I stand on the issue of Deniz, Vanessa and Roman. However I am all for stories that will challenge the guys as a couple versus bringing in some third party to screw things up (esp. one as heinous & trite as Ameera on ATWT but that's another bitchfest that I am saving for Friday's ep). Triangles are overdone. Let's see soaps, and in particular VL, write C/O as a couple trying to deal with stuff. I want to see that for a change. The inevitable triangle can come much later.

Much, much, much later I hope... For now I think we see enough triangles. I love the fact that the story is gonna to be about something completely different that will try them as a couple.

I just keep thinking, considering how much Christian likes yelling at people and showing them around already, picture just what he'd be like on roid rage ;D

Agreed, especially because I think that this is under-explored in TV nowadays. There's so much focus on couples breaking up over something that we don't see as many stories about couples facing challenges together. But I believe strongly in the Blake/Krystle paradigm of two people who are fundamentally inseparable facing dramatic challenges. I haven't been following AWZ as DeVa gives me a headache even worse than NoAmeera. Maybe I'll have to scope that board out and catch up. Here's to hoping they decide to explore Ollian as a couple!

Poor Oliver if Christian will start to take steroids (aren't they supposed to make you impotent?) lol

Poor Oliver if Christian will start to take steroids (aren't they supposed to make you impotent?) lol No, but you may see that on ATWT! I wish I was kidding. Seriously, I want to see Christian & Oliver work on things as a couple before the inevitable break up or intrustion of a third party. The falling in love and coming out was good stuff but the story shouldn't end there *gives AWZ the evil eye*. A gay couple should have more going on than the difficulties of coming out. Too many shows show that and then stop. I want to see C/O work through the drama as equal partners especially since one of the things I really like about this pairing is how Olli gets Christian and that Christian responds to what Olli says/does in a way that others can't seem to get from Christian. I love it.

Yes, their balance as a couple is what really makes them so interesting. They play off each other so well that it would be a shame to split them up, especially if it were in some lame DeVa kind of scenario. It would be much better to see them facing challenges as partners.

That's why I like Medium so much. The couple there is very interesting without any third-party plotlines. … hides in shame.

I even forgive it that it is so pro-death penality, because they did some really thought provoking episodes that were really well done and because the marriage between Joe and Allison works so well. The only thing that bugs me when sometimes the solution to a case is really obvious (if combined with her dream) and it is really frustrating if you guess it the moment the hint it mentioned while it takes the character the whole episode and a lot of self doubt to figure out the solution. That can get frustrating at times. But generally, it is a really well done show and I like it quite a bit. I used to be a big crime show buff, but I have given up on pretty much all of them at the moment except Medium (well and Monk and Psych).
