Psionycx I would like to draw your attention to the note I made at the start of my previous post - that I am still only partway through Season 2 and all that I have seen beyond that is highlights of the Kevin and Scotty storyline. I am quite happy to agree to disagree on our thoughts of Kevin and Scotty's suitability as a couple and their progress so far. However, there was just one point you made that struck me. I thought post-marital bed death was for lesbians and straight couples! Gay men are supposed to be randy! I think this is an incredibly stereotypical (and even hurtful) comment to make. Please correct me if I am mistaken, but I thought this stereotype of gay men was exactly the sort of representation many people wanted TV series to move away from? I reiterate my earlier comment that I would far rather see the two of them as a complex and realistic couple juggling the responsibilities and problems of work and in-laws than a couple of newlyweds who did nothing but rip each others clothes off all the time.

sheepie, I wasn't going to go here but since you've absolutely insisted on making this personal I will. First off, I am forced to point out that you are the one who likes to dissect posts paragraph-by-paragraph and criticize them, so I really don't think you're in any position to claim some kind of moral high ground over me. Secondly, I have been very explicitly clear that my criticism is directed at the writers of the show, not anyone on this board! Unless you are, in fact, secretly one of those writers then my comments are in no way specifically directed at you, or anyone else here who is not a writer for Brothers & Sisters. louisa, please note the conditional in the last time I quoted you: Kevin and Scotty are positive and likeable characters, even in their worst moments, and they should be celebrated. The problem is that this season they haven't been.I made very sure to insert that in there. It was on-purpose. I did not harbor my current negative feelings towards Kevin and Scotty until the last episode of last season. My commentary/criticism is, again, about the way that Kevin and Scotty are being depicted, and quite frankly the way the writing in general is being done, in the present season. I am sorry that your viewing has not progressed that far at this time. As for my (admittedly dark) snide remark, it was intended as sarcastic humor. I can only offer three things in my defense: 1) I actually got the phrase "lesbian bed death" from a book of lesbian humor I was thumbing through at a friend's house once. 2) Straight people frequently complain, and joke, about the decline in sex after marriage, so why shouldn't I? Also note, Sarah and Joe's sexual issues were a significant plot in season one. 3) I will freely admit that I am among the gay men who are getting rather weary of the overly-chaste image of gay men that has become so common on U.S. television. I'm not sure whether it's to dispel the myth that we're all about sex or they're just scared of offending anyone by showing a couple of gays in bed together but it's amazing how non-sexual gays on network TV in this country are. Luke & Noah on ATWT are well on their way to becoming forty year-old virgins. Marc on Ugly Betty leers comically but is about as safely asexual as Paul Lynde in the 70's. And of course Kevin and Scotty are barely able to muster more than a few closed-mouth kisses on a show where all his supposed siblings having been shown flaunting their heterosexuality in a bewildering number of ways. I'm sorry you didn't find the one-liner funny. I will aim for more politically correct humor in the future.

I have just seen the last week's episode, well fastforwarded through it. I think Scotty is criminally underused, he's supposed to be one of the permanent characters, but they treat him like a plot device. Their relationship is getting a treatment for stable couples, ie, it disappeared. I don't think it's some evil doing to sideline them, but I am not happy. They got Kevin out of his job so that he can be a part of Robert and Kitty stories, which sounds like a good thing to build connections between characters, but so far it's just even more time for the dream team We'll see if it gets to some interesting place later.

Tell me about it! I'm a huge Luke fan, so this sucks They're using him as little as they are using Julia. I agree about him just being a plot devise. I'm NOT happy about it... What about a bed scene? A honey moon? A few more kisses wouldn't hurt either, they are married after all! Rebecca isn't even a part of the family, just a mere love interest for Justin, and SHE gets all the screen time? It sucks! Big time! They try and shove Justecca down our throats, I just wanna barf.. Never could stand them, never will..

Here's the K/S storyline from last episode: Wow! They actually got a storyline this time, and it's good too! AND they got more than two min! Who knew, huh?

It still did take some fastforwarding, but I quite enjoyed this episode. I hope Scotty won't disappear again.

chances are, he will... this show need to start treating all the non-Walker people like Robert.... he isn't a Walker, but he gets his own storylines and screentime....
also, yah for a Scotty episode that has nothing to do with Scotty and Kevin being gay...
oo.... they should have Scotty (not now, but later when it is more realistic) opened up his own restaurant or something like that... then he can have his own storyline about that... especially if Kevin become the restaurant's legal counsel...

Oh great!! It's so great to see both of them together again, especially my sweetie, Scotty!! And I have to say that one way or another, Scotty and Kevin have to have an argument or spat in almost every episode they are in. But a little spat to spice up their relationship. But I kinda like the plot for them for this episode. I mean Kevin felt threatened somehow. Wouldn't have expected that. I've always thought Scotty will be playing the supportive role, but now they are more or less the same together, I kinda like that. But it's so sweet to have someone who can protect and provide the loving care for.

a storyline!!! and even one without them being gay as the main focus!!! it was a really good episode - funny and moving. Kevin being his usual self, but apologizing for it in the end and really thinking of Scotty and THEM first ;D - and Vicky was funny *lol* (and I also liked the distracting Kitty part - very sweet)

Sadly, I think Scotty will "disapper" after the next 2-3 episodes or so becuase he is supposed to be in the next one and I think the one after that (because Kevin gets sent to the hospital) and then I think he will "disapper"
They will probably start to focus on Tommy a bit more, and Holly because I feel as if they have been neglecting them in a way and really only focusing on Kitty and on Justin and Rebecca.

S3 is crap compared to S1. The writers bailed out, went down the soapy road, and they keep the main focus on Justecca and McKitty, cause they are the most popular (I can't stand them, but whatever). I lost faith in this show a long time ago, mainly after they de-Walkered Rebecca. I now only watch the K/S storyline...

pretty sure Sarah lost custody of the kids, but Paige running away caused them to change the agreement to shared custody.... that just doesn't seem to be reflected in what is being shown on screen though...

You're right, thanks for correcting me. Whatever happened to Joe? That was his name correct? I hope that Sarah starts to branch out more and find her true soul mate.

I just watched it and it's a lovely episode... And Kevin and Justin escaping the house was very funny. Just as Nora and Scotty argueing about who gets to undress Kevin. ;D

I really liked the last episode, it was great! Just one thing.. Where is the kisses? I would like them to kiss more, they are married after all! And we still haven't had a bed scene;( I know they can't exactly sleep together when he is sick, but he wasn't before, and they still didn't do it

Hi Messyme... I think you are expecting too much from an american tv-series, a gay kiss scene and a bed scene how could you dare ;D Isn't it funny that the two gay charcters are played by "foreign" actors, a welsh and a canadian . I love K&S, most probably because they are a more matured couple... and the whole tv-serie, really interesting..

I love the way this show approaches it's subject matter.
The latest episode was endearing & funny but still manages to tackle the subject of gay parenting.
