Unfortunately I had no say in the matter....it was my main gay's birthday and he wanted to see it. ....I tried to get out of it but he layeth the birthday guilt on me so I had to go....he hated it even more than I did...but it was fun to just hang out with friends. We then went out for gelato, and just acted crazy all afternoon...It was our way of rebelling against the fact that we are now on the wrong side of 20.... What angered me even more about the movie was that it killed the buzz I had got from all the mimosas we had during brunch.... Oh that's really funny!!!! And just what is "the wrong side" again? ;D ;D ;D ;D

But I can't get upset with him.....in less than 12 hours he will be gone! Hugs, Mom. I remember how emotional that leaving was when it was my time those years ago. I was a mix of sadness for leaving and great excitement for leaving. My parents were emotional, especially my mom. I didn't know what to do! Just hang in there. We'll be ready to chat and console as needed. Thanks Restenergy! I'll need all the chatting and consoling I can get! I try to think of it from his POV......I'm sure he is feeling that way too.....he said he didn't sleep very well last night and I'm sure he won't tonight either! He just got back from having dinner at In-and-Out with his friends one last time before leaving. Then he had to say good-bye to them.....other friends dropped by with gifts and to say good-bye too.....so I think it's really starting to hit him that this is really "it"! But by Friday of this week,he will have seen parts of the country he has never seen before, he will be on campus, meeting new people, making new friends and getting his room together...... so lots of exciting new things on the horizon. Even my friends are calling to tell him good-bye!! Tomorrow will be hard..... thank goodness for cell phones!

Sheepie... do you eat head cheese? Though I am Scot heritage more than true Scot, I can't do it. My family loves it but I... just... can't... Awww *hugs* Maybe this will cheer you up a little: gaydaytime.blogspot.com/2008/08/handsome.html ? Very pretty. Now I am off to rant some more about the latest HOL spoiler.

You ask this question of a gay man?? ;D I have no idea what you're talking about - therefore the mind wanders to a very different place with this question ;D Please explain this question to me

I still can't talk about Gregor not wearing a red shirt. Sheepie... do you eat head cheese? Though I am Scot heritage more than true Scot, I can't do it. My family loves it but I... just... can't... This is head cheese aka potted heid: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head_cheese. My family does the cajun style or the UK style. One of my fave foods is Cottage/Shepherd's pie (though with beef, not lamb), so I make up for the Scot roots there. Now I am back off to look at the pretty new ATWT promos shots on the blog (y'all know I adore me some Jake S, right? )

I've never heard it referred to as head cheese Culinary fact... Cottage pie = made with beef Shepherds pie = made with lamb So I'm guessing you're fave is the former rather than the latter. Hark at me - a devout "prick 'n' ping" man, giving out culinary advice ;D

You need to come out to America and set people, er, straight on that. Glad you can't stand potted heid. My family makes that at big gatherings and I am in the kitchen with a bowl of cereal. I went to a deli that had it once and had molded it together into the shape of a pig's head. Talk about unappealing...

It's not nearly as bad as when a colleague of mine asked me "Do you wear rubbers?" He was talking about my black and white Doc Martins and was wondering if I whore rubber overshoes during the winter to keep them clean and in good condition. Yet the conversation started out with that question (and them him giggling after he realized how it sounded).

Soooo, I'm finally a bit more up to date... (Except the VL subforum: I still have to read that one . But I did see the clips and for now that's enough. How's everyone doing? I missed the last pages of the old chat thread, so I'm not sure what I missed. I did hear though that Princess O. broke his hand. Sorry to hear that hon! Does it still hurt a lot? I read that you have to work 84 hours this week with broken hand and all; how's that gonna work? Anyway: big to you. Glad you liked the Kyli concert! You'll be glad to know I thought about you in Milan: I happened to come across a very HUGE favorite of yours. I felt a little bit stupid making a picture of a billboard, but especially for you ;D : (It's not the whole pictures because someone sprayed over his legs with yellow paint ) And before I forget: Thanks everyone for (re)posten all the nice hunky pictures! I don't know who this one is, but thank you for posting it Mikey! He's gorgeous. Mom, I think I missed the post about Bam's card, but by the sounds of it it was very sweet. And a very belated happy birthday wish to you! I'm glad I already got you an early present. *passes along the tissues because of Bradley leaving home* Big hug to you!! (O, and no one in Italy looks up when they see people hugging and kissing. I got so many hugs and kisses from the brides italian family-in-law and I didn't even knew them. Those people kept kissing... ;D Which got us confused everytime because in our country we give each other three kisses and in italy the custom is apparently two. ) You're right, in Italy is absolutely normal to hug and kiss when meeting friends on the streets. ;D I also have a little present for her, I hope she'll appreciate... And she appreciated it very much! I got a box with delicious chocolates from Turin!! Wow - thanks for decorating the place Aldebaran - it looks so much more like home already - though I am slightly shocked that you even managed to include the beaver in the background of pic 4 ;D OK, that clinches it. If I had any doubt whatsoever, it's gone. I'm gay. I had to go back and look at what in the world Sheepie was talking about. I was too busy looking at the guy to notice what was in the background. lol. ;D Well, I didn't noticed it either so I guess that means I'm really straight. ;D Btw: we thought about you Restenergy when we passed a Disney store in Milan. Here's the proof: Mikey, it sounds like you've been a GREAT help to your brother! Not surprised you were tired... Getting rid of Weed Jungle Gardening can be exhausting. I hope at least he feeds you well. I'm looking forward to see the pictures: really curious about what you've done to the place. (Did you do 'before' and 'after' pictures?) Hope you and OH are still enjoying the new equipment you bought Restenergy! Skillian: Glad to see you made it safe and sound to France!! What 750 paged book did you read Bonobochick? Must have been pretty good if you spend 12 hours in a row reading it... (And thanks for the link to the Ben Barnes pictures! ) Sheepie: How are you doing? Working till 11.30 pm? Wow, you must be really in need of a vacation!! Hope that time comes soon! You ask this question of a gay man?? ;D I have no idea what you're talking about - therefore the mind wanders to a very different place with this question ;D Please explain this question to me Oh, Sheepie. LOL! (Holiday recap and pictures are still on the way )

Btw: we thought about you Restenergy when we passed a Disney store in Milan. Here's the proof: Oh, how sweet of you to think of me at the sight of Eeyore, and take a picture to prove it. (I hope that doesn't mean I'm a sad, depressing figure. ) I love that smilie, Amber. P.S. I usually don't know what I've done to deserve karma either. In the last day or two I've gotten a couple of exultations myself, and I really don't know why, either. But I'm always greatful to see that number go up. It leaves a nice warm and fuzzy feeling.

Hello everyone. Sorry I have been MIA, but trying to type with the gammy hand is doing my head in and keep having mini tantrums with my own rubbishness! Okay - catch up: Right, firstly to let you know, I have now scheduled myself an extra day off on Friday so am taking it a bit easier (for me)... Lol...!! Thank you Amber for my Beckham surprise!! I am glad that you had a fantastic time and am only slightly jealous... I will also spread the Wald love again soon (I can't remember who asked - sorry!!). Mom, I know you feel sad right now, but just think how proud you will be of Bradley when he graduates from College. I remember when I first went to University at 17, I was so nervous - but as soon as my father drove off and I realised that this was it, I bit the bullet and knocked on another door in my dorm. I started talking to the girls that answered and it was fun fun fun from then on in... Bradley is going to have the most amazing time of his life in the next few years and it will probably bring you even closer, as he will realise just how much you do for him and are there for him. If you do need a pep-talk or simply a shoulder in the next few weeks, you know where I am... Much love darling... xx xx Thank you to all my wellwishers, the hand is pretty much pain free now other than an occasional dull ache. Is mainly just a nuisance... Right that is enough typing for now... TAKES TOO LONG!!!

I'm glad to hear that you hand is feeling better, Ollian. I'm also glad you're taking the extra day off. That schedule was too much, even when both hands are fully operable.
BTW, have you noticed you're just two posts shy of 1000!?!

How's it going, Mom? Have you been keeping yourself busy today? Hopefully with something other than installing the velvet rope across son no. 1's bedroom doorway.
