This upcoming BL was first mentioned around the beginning of last year. At the time it seemed like it would just be a straightforward, stand alone 'aspiring boyband' show but somewhere along the way it got attached to the 'Close Friends' franchise by it's production company VIU Originals and retitled from its original name 'Soju Bomb' to 'Close Friends 3: Soju Bomb'. It's a bit of a puzzle as to how this fits in with the Close Friends brand at all, since it doesn't feature any of the actors or continue with any of the pairings or stories from the first two series, and the format is completely different, too. I suspect they've just bolted this show onto the end of the 'Close Friend' franchise in the hope it will help give it a boost in ratings. It stars Best Cholsawas ('My Ride'), Earth Nanthawat, Dunk Teerathuth, Win Suphawit, and Au Patrapon.
Synopsis: "A group of young wannabes who dreamed of becoming idols in Korea failed to make their debut. Before returning to Thailand to get on with the rest of their lives they decide to get together one final time and drink themselves silly. However, swigging down the infamous Soju Bombs proved to be a much more volatile experience than they could ever have imagined and the next morning the five unexpectedly wake up on a beach in Busan without any money, passports or memory of what had happened. So now the mission to find lost memories and dreams begins again..."
