I recently came upon this Italian web series that debuted on December 14, 2012 and concluded its 14 episode first season on April 26, 2013. www.youtube.com/user/GETwebseriewww.getwebserie.com/I thought it was very well acted and for a series with apparently no budget, production values seemed quite high. The English subtitles could use some fine-tuning but are adequate for the most part. Here's the information on the web series translated from its Facebook page (*BEWARE SPOILERS FROM EPISODE 1*): Plot: Thomas is heterosexual, working on an organic farm and living with Serena, his girlfriend since high school. Julius is gay, is a successful architect and - after being cheated on - has just ended his three-year relationship with Matteo. They are the protagonists of "G & T", the new web series about an Italian love (im) possible between two boys from distant worlds, who nevertheless come together through the universal language of the heart. The two, friends since childhood, haven't seen each other for some time. Their last evening spent together goes back five years earlier, when after drinking too much, they ended up exchanging a kiss in the bathroom. After meeting again through a mutual friend, Thomas does not react well to learning that Julius is now an openly gay man. For business reasons, they find themselves working together. Over time, Thomas' attitude will soften progressively, leading him to discover why he is really hostile toward Julius. The series consists of a total of 14 episodes (with an average duration of about 13 minutes each), which are available starting from 14 December of Gay.it and later on Youtube. Written by Francesco D'Alessio, Matthew Rocchi, Li Calzi Lorenzo and Gabriele Pellegrino. Produced by RtaMovie (association for theater and film of Turin). Directed by Francesco D'Alessio and Matteo Rocchi. CAST: Matthew Rocchi (Thomas), Francesco D'Alessio (Julius), Angela Miriam Ceppone (Sara), Anthony Circiello (Gianluca), Moritz Baskets (Matthew), Valeria Late (Serena), Paolo Mazzini (Renato), Laura Forleo (mother of Julius), Piero Mortillaro (father of Julius), Giorgia Zambrini (Laura), Simone Paralovo (Mark), Jessica Carrer, Vincenzo Paradise. The music is mainly entrusted to young emerging artists of the Italian music scene with a focus on big hits and not the music of the 90s. Among them: Simona Lodin, Jessica Carrer, The Moon Project, Flashback From The Future, MaryPosh, Claudio Cera, Valerio Shock & Singing Arc, Myky Petillo.

RJ have you watched them all? You can send me a personal message but I need to know if anyone dies because I feel like every Italian show I've watched with gay character someone literally dies.

Watched it, and the plot is pretty romantic. The gay couple's storyline will likely appeal to gay audience, while the straight couple's relationship makes one notice. I find myself fast forwarding through many unnecessary 'intimate' scenes get on with the rest of the drama. For those of you in the non-gay audience, does it appeal to you?

If Season 2 comes out, I look forward to seeing Moritz Ceste again in more scenes. He is quite a good actor and photogenic, too.
Does anyone know how a Web series like this gets financed to go into production? If someone does, please kindly explain for me. Thank you.

If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but less magical.

I'm guessing they broke up for some reason. I don't see cheating when it comes to them, especially Julius. From the sneak peak for the next episode it at least looks like Thomas is branching out to men and not back with women.

From the sneak peak for the next episode it at least looks like Thomas is branching out to men and not back with women. The situation is, at this moment, a bit more complicated. For example, in ep. 2, during the shower dream-nightmare, Tommaso asks Giulio if it's true that he cheated him with his co-worker architect. On the other hand, Tommaso rejects the invitation of Fabio... and so on. They broke up, it's true, but we don't know yet why.
