boyofgod, I could be wrong, because there are a lot of fanvids of Elias with Lari. Regardless it looks like the next couple of weeks worth of clips will be good.

On a side note, I will be camping in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for the next couple of days and will not have internet -- so someone else will have to embed the links to the next clips translated and uploaded by Monpensiers88.

The discussion isn't really spoilers -- as all of the scenes being discussed have aired in Finland. There is just a time lag between original air date and Monpensiers88's translations.

I think it is fair to discuss them -- as they have actually aired already.

How would any of us who don't live in Finland have seen them?

I just think it would nice not to openly discuss things that haven't happened yet since the purpose of this thread was to point out the gay storyline being posted on youtube.

As a courtesy to those of us who want to participate in this thread but don't live in Finland is it such a big deal to discuss stuff in private or at least disguise your text as they do in other threads?

I don't know about other people here but I am only able to watch this on Youtube because of the subs.

But I'd also like to be able to discuss the clips that have been posted here.

I can't describe how happy I was to find that Elias' story have end up to this forum also. I have been following this forum like for ages but i have never post anything nor see any finnish soaps here. I also really enjoy this story. Elias never had this big issues of being gay and he is so okey with himself that it makes me happy for him. There is also so many juicy things coming in this story line that i hope that i wouldn't seen that all yet. Also I am really enjoying the fact that there has not been anything bad writings about this story in finnish media. So i think thinks are getting better yay.

This soap is really famous in Finland especially amoung youngsters and kids(ye that's a bit weird tho') so I think it's good that they are not affraid to hande this kind of thing. Well there has been gay and lesbian characters in this soap before but long time ago. I hope that some day those would end up in youtube also. But till now I'm happy that others can also enjoy this story of Elias and there is gonna happens still many things

I've watched few videos about this storyline but I don't speak finnish so what I've understood is that during a (halloween??) party Elias found his bf Ville kissing another guy and went away followed by 4 guys wearing the "scream" mask. Elias hid himself and his followers didn't see him as they ran near him. Thinking he was safe, Elias came out but one of them found him. The guy was Lari and instead of punching Elias he just kissed him. I think that they began a kind of secret relationship.... with Lari trying to kiss Elias everytime they are alone..

Ok I have a question.When the new season starts in September 3,2012 too be in fact.Will there be a love triangle between Elias/Lari/and this new guy?Or will Lari and Elias still be a secret couple?I really do like them as a couple!!! ;D

From what I understand when the show comes back from summer break there will be a new gay character named Kalle.From the comments that I've read on different videos on him he will be for Elias.And it does look like a love triangle between Kalle/Lari/Elias here's a video clip of him from the Spring final.

I hope that talks about love triangle between Elias/Lari/Kalle is only speculation because Kalle must be like over 10 years older than Elias and Lari. Kalle was in this show when it started(and was the first gay character in it) to air in 99' so it was 13 years ago. I know soap years doesn't match with reality but still.

Elias and Lari aren't even in high school yet so they are somethign like 15 years old I think. So that kind of love triangle where Kalle would be involved would make Kalle pretty much pedophile and I really hope it't not gonna go there. I really hope they have some other plans for Kalle. Not all gay characters needs to be in love with each others.

I agree with you I don't know if a love triangle would happen I'm just going on what I've been reading by the comments.I wanted too know I heard that the actors playing Lari and Elias are both gay in real life is that true?

I haven't heard nor read anything about those actors beig gay in real live. At least they don't tell it out loud if they are. Those things might be also speculation. At least I haven't read any intervie or anything where they would have came out. So they might or they might not be gay. Here is interview of Petteri Paavola (Elias) about his role as Elias.

Petteri sayis that he enjoys taking challenging roles and he enjoys acting those. He didn't feel that there would be any problem having intimate scenes with other men. He says that he has good friends and good working mates that helps him with his role and makes acting easy. Petteri also says that He and Ronny(Lary) are good friend in real live. So actig with him is easy.

Petteri also tells somethign about love scenes with Lari. Petteri says that kiss with Ronny wasn't his first one ( Elias will be kisssing with his bf Ville before having thing with Lari) So Ronny was more nerveous about them. So Petteri says he tried to be as relaxed as possible to make Rony also relaxed. And everything went well afetr all.


When Petteri started in his role as Elias. He didn't know exactly where his story will be goign. He was told that there will be some kisses. Petteri says that it is ok. There should be kisses just like between man and woman. it's normal.

Petteri Also think that his ability throw himself in situations might gave him his role in this show. Many people might come to say that they wouldn't have courage play in this role but Petter doesn't think that way. For him it was easy decision to take this role. For him there was no proble play gay character.

Petteri says that his firs role was gay charcater Sven in school play i high school. So it was easy to move to this role after having good feedback from that role.

So that was it. sorry my bad bad english I did my best. I dunno if u can tell anything about that article him being gay or not. At least he has good attitude towar his character. And according to him we won't be lacking of kisses. BTW Petteri has never playd in any tv shows before this. I think he has played only in school palys. And I think that is the case of most of the actors in this show so it might explain something
