Charlie is really cute. I can understand why Jack would be driven to distraction if he was around, LOL. Their kisses were really nice too - if only we got to see them steam it up in the bedroom!
I guess it's a realistic story to portray Jack's struggles with academic pressures and the temptation of speed. But I just know this is going to end really badly for one of them, if not both.
It's pretty sad when you realize they are now the only gay teen couple on an English-language soap.

Jack really does have a thing for older men, doesn't he. I don't know if Cam and Darryl are that much older - I'm sure both are under 30. And Jack's other 3 love interests (Kane, Edwin and Charlie) have been the same age as him. I'm really sad they decided to make Charlie into a villain. Was it too much to hope for that he was simply a casual drug user and sexually adventurous teen? Now they turn him into a drug dealer who's pushing tainted drugs and, worst of all, is unconcerned when it results in multiple deaths. I do give the show credit for having four gay men onscreen at the same time (especially when you add in a trans boy and bi woman to the mix) and they have balls for making two of them villains. That's refreshing, even though I dearly wish Charlie wasn't one of them. Next week's spoilers suggest Charlie's time on the show is coming to an end - for real this time. I wonder if he will leave in handcuffs or a body-bag. |

Unless I'm mistaken, that was round 1 with Darryl. They had a brief attraction (kissed once) during a camping trip quite some time back. This is Darryl's third stint on the show. (The second time, Jack was totally focussed on Cam, who was 100% straight at that point.) |

So Jack ends up with nobody. Have to admit, I didn't see that coming. Thought for sure he'd have a short-lived, largely offscreen romance with Darryl after he got Charlie sent down. Gonna miss his handsome mug; really wish they hadn't turned him into an addict and dealer.

Hi, newbie here  Does anyone know if the actor who plays Charlie is gone now? I thought he was an interesting character and there's still so much they could do with Charlie and Jack. If he is spared jail and only has to fulfill court ordered rehab, they could easily write him back in, trying to patch things up with Jack. They genuinely seemed to care for one another and Jack deserves someone who fully appreciates him. And since we didn't get to see them casually dating the two (?) months they were together, it would only be right to see them slowly reconcile. On another note: The whole thing with Darryl was so pointless. Like, did they only hook them up so he could dump Jack and make him feel bad about himself? Where are they going with this, if they are going somewhere with this and not sidelining Jack indefinitely again. Is this supposed to set Jack up to become a promiscuous guy, who is only looking for casual, meaningless hookups after being hurt over and over again? If it is, I can already see this ending in (near) disaster. Sorry for rambling on. Just had a lot of thoughts to get out. So glad I found this forum. |
