So Madonna has been vaping for 5 minutes and is already an addict?
I agree the absence of a proper receptionist is glaring. I thought they might move Stanley up into the position, but maybe it's in the offing. The CEO's assistant certainly cannot be staffing the front desk too; they used to - and still should - be distinct positions. I was amused that Dawn, of all people, told Monique it was not in the nurses' contracts to man reception; for once someone brings up employment issues and it's Dawn of all people, who is just about the last person you'd expect to even read a contract.
I'm not as critical of the patient of the week format because so far they've tied in some personal involvement for the staff - like Madonna for the electrician's story; Maeve and Marty for the Brightshiner surrogacy plot; Vili and Junior for their cousin's TBI; Marty and Monique with Larissa the pregnant Ukrainian refugee with cancer; or Nicole, Harper and Chris with the estranged family/burglary/cancer story. And it plays out against the larger backdrop of Drew/Harper's marital issues, Marty's grief, TK's bashing by the same guy who hit Vili's cousin, etc.
I just wish Jack would get a proper story. I suppose I should be glad he is still on canvas, unlike Gia. Am I the only one who wonders if her sudden exit was linked to the anti-trans rhetoric that's been escalating of late?

Rahu has to be the biggest idiot ever. Now he discovers his ethics, in this situation?
Madonna, Harper and Dawn are getting more loathsome by the minute.

It seems like the writers are actively trying to make us hate them. It's bizarre.

Maeve so sooooooo insufferable during the surrogate storyline, even more than usual.
And why is the onus on Nicole to change the nurse schedule. Drew and Harper are the ones with the issue. Let them handle it. Besides, Harper is flat out wrong here. Drew needs to get some balls and handle it.

The show in general is quite bad. There's no continuity in the storylines. Each episode to the next feels so disjointed. I'm skipping much of it these days.

It feels depressingly like Jack is gearing up for an exit.
