Wait Reid was dropped from the cast?? I thought he had quit the role. Sorry, my bad, the internet tells me he departed the show to attend university, so presumably it was his decision. He just didn't seem very happy with that scene, and they wrote his character into a corner when he left. I wonder if he'll ever return. He is the only one of Chris Warner's children to have grown up onscreen and raised by him. |

I would be less worried if not for the interview last year when the actor who plays Louis said he wanted to leave to become a lawyer. It's also felt for months now like they are just spinning wheels with the character, as if his exit is on the way.

When will Jack stop feeding info to his dirty cop BF that could get people killed? I appreciate that they're showing them in bed together, but it also reminds me what a missed opportunity it was not to have them go at it during the late-night special.
Dawn and Marty - ugh. Marty, get some self-respect, please.

When will Jack stop feeding info to his dirty cop BF that could get people killed? I appreciate that they're showing them in bed together, but it also reminds me what a missed opportunity it was not to have them go at it during the late-night special. Dawn and Marty - ugh. Marty, get some self-respect, please. I can't believe we are going back to Marty and Dawn again. It's obvious he is still in love with Esther. Dawn is now in the Monique role. At least Monique's feelings were more clear - Dawn has bounced from Louis, to Maeve's ex, to Marty...in a month? The character is becoming so tiresome. I feel like she has lost about 50 IQ points in the last few months, starting with that awful story with the vet she accidentally pushed down the stairs. The guy who plays Hamish is just stunning and is such a good physical match for Jack. I guess I should enjoy these scenes while they last, even if there could have been more. |

Oh god I had almost forgotten about the vet who she 'pushed' down the stairs. That was so dumb/tedious. Dawn is usually pretty insufferable though. She toned it down a bit for a while, but it seems like she is right back to her old self.

In predictable whiplash fashion, the walls are already closing in on Hamish with Det. Hetariki suspicious of his and Louis's escape. You do wonder why he even bothered going to the rescue of a boy he barely knew (who was hardly an innocent). The beating Hamish got was absolutely brutal and could easily have been fatal. Is there some element of guilt that he thinks he can assuage by saving Louis and getting beaten half to death?
The show must realize how beloved the Hannah brothers are in the Shorty fandom with so much of their recent BTS material led by Reuben Milner. Maybe next time Jack can get his own summer special spin-off.
I checked out the Henry Rolleston interview. It doesn't sound like he still plans to return to studying law. Hopefully that means a long run; I'd miss his pretty face onscreen. I did chuckle at the subtle shade he threw at the show for how very quickly things shift and how departed characters barely get a mention even when they were once important to the characters left behind. I wonder how many of the Louis fanfics are homoerotic in nature; I can't imagine his straight pairings are the ones that get so much attention. When he said he'd like Louis to get away from the girls, my mind immediately completed the sentence with "and get with some boys instead".
If he does want a role in a fantasy TV series though, he might want to at least give the correct title of The Wheel of Time.

Well, Hamish has really committed himself to the cause now. Passing the gun to the gangster who shot Curtis with it was one thing ... now he's gotten his own hands bloody.
Poor Jack. You just know this is going to lead to him swearing off men for another few years.
