Thanks for the report, bsgnut! Hope you had a wonderful evening. Judging from the pic with Freddie, it would seem that you did. Given the charisma he displays on screen, it's no surprise Freddie is very personable and friendly in real life. It's great to hear he has been working a lot more as we all want to see him more often on the show. Do you remember much from the acceptance speech?
It's odd that Chandler shied away from the crowd. His agent undoubtedly had something to do with that - probably trying to network him with the power people in the room. Chandler was certainly friendly and conversational at Outfest when I met him so I think his agent is the reason he was on lockdown.

I waited awhile to see Chandler but he must have come to the party after I left and took those pics with Freddie, so maybe he did eventually mingle with the fans. I did the get the impression they were treating Chandler like a prize racehorse. There was an entourage around him and a lot of networking. I think they realize the guy is going places. It's no accident we've been getting heavy doses of Will lately, even if it's not exactly the doses we want.  Freddie, on the other hand, flew a bit under the radar. He was kind of surprised when I came up and talked to him. |

I think Chandler happens to be quite shy and awkward too, so that's probably part of it. Freddie being under the radar doesn't surprise me, he needs to be featured more so people can start seeing what a talent he is too, can only hope. He's adorable though. |

Shameful how Freddie was treated the past few months by the show. But hard to tell how under the radar he was. On the red carpet he was talking to a ton of media it seems...more so than I saw Chandler doing so... Maybe Freddie does different type of networking. He could be the kind of person that networks during the party with people. Plus a lot of people seem to be familiar with him from 90210 so I think he is known. I also think there was a mess up. They initially had him listed as 90210 which made no sense and then they didn't have a listing for him at all on the red carpet.
I think it bears repeating that Freddie is one incredibly hot guy!!!!

It definitely seems like DOOL producers are trying to make Chandler into the main young male star on the show. To be honest the guy that plays Chad isn't that great an actor. The thing with Freddie Smith is we haven't seen him show any range BECAUSE the writers haven't given him the opportunity to show his talent. Hopefully this summer with the new storyline we are going to see Freddie's character Sonny have the opportunity to shine.

Yeah, Chandler is very much the it boy at the moment, but having a buzz about you in Hollywood doesn't necessarily translate into success. There's so much luck involved. Freddie could easily end up the much bigger star down the road. It all depends on the breaks that comes their way. Freddie could get cast in some low-budget project that nobody expects anything from that becomes wildly popular and suddenly he's doing Leno and hosting SNL. The fickle finger of fate has a mind of its own.

Such a cute picture of them. So nice to see a lot of pictures of Freddie again. Last time this happened, he was actually working a lot. Hope this is a good sign he's working a lot again ;D.

Freddie did say he has a major storyline this summer and that the characters Justin and Adrienne will be included in the storyline. I am glad Freddie is back!

I think it's the microphone that makes him sound that way. I think it's a cheap one. MingleMedia TV doesn't have much of a budget, I guess. Ha-ha! Freddie does seem a little more camp than I've ever seen him, though. Maybe it's just me. |

Freddie looks great, yes, a littler thinner than he has been in months. The lady doing the interview really needs to do a better job cause her interviewing skills sucks.
