Well, tomorrow's episode has no Will, but Sonny begins his job with the D.A. a day early ... the D.A. wants him to demand Hope's case notes on E.J.'s beating!

Depends on how the story is written. He could end up getting caught kissing Sonny or caught having sex with Sonny. But I think more likely, we will see him realize that he's gay. He will try to be str8 but will fail (which dayscafe has written - link below). There is no knowing what will happen during the time he figures he's gay but tries not to be. Usually, it's quite disastrous. But either way, he will hurt Gabi. buzz... Will tries to live str8 but is unsuccessful. www.dayscafe.com/buzz.htmlI agree. No matter how it shakes out Gabi is going to be hurt.

interesting.. So what is "dayscafe",,, how reliable is it? Will tries to live straight but is unsuccessful... Where does that phrasing come from? It's obviously a great line for everyone who wants to see Will out and proud.

It has been referred to as the Enquirer of the internet.
And notice they don't really come out in the article as saying it's true or not true. It's nothing imo but them speculating and trying to make it seem like what they're saying has some credance.

As long it is Will or Chad I am ok with it. A new character would be totally pointless. I am happy that he did not mentioned Tad at all.
I get the impression that this will take much longer than the usual pace of Days. Maybe a year from now we will still be trying to guess who will be Sonny's romantic interest.

I agree, md.
It's suppose to be somewhat of a surprise.

I agree, md. It's suppose to be somewhat of a surprise. A surprise? At this point? After it was so convincingly stated by Camila Banus that Will would be gay, it's now supposed to be a surprise? How about this? Dena Higley chose Will as the gay character but the new writers are not so sure that is who they want. So now they're trying to decide if they want to proceed with Higley's choice or choose someone else.

IMO, that interview is very telling. Dena Higley, for all her faults, seems to have been more open to the idea of a gay romance involving two legacy characters. The new writers (under Ken Corday's direction) have: 1. slowed the story down terribly; 2. made Sonny into a glorified dayplayer; 3. failed to establish him as a romantic possibility for anyone; 4. not given him any scenes with his own parents.
So much for legacy characters coming to the forefront; I guess Justin/Adrienne are now back to monthly appearances. I am so disgusted right now. I guess Freddie and Chandler weren't lying early in the year when they said they didn't know who Sonny's love interest will be. Clearly, they are STILL not around to filming anything of that. Personally, after I watched today's DOOL, it felt like some of the Will/Gabi scenes were cut. It was very odd and disjointed with them only having two very short scenes in the whole episode. I wouldn't put it past Ken Corday to have cut scenes or inserted rewritten/reshot scenes into earlier episodes than he's telling, so that he can claim "Oh, we didn't change anything, this is all Dena's stuff!".

And even in the September episode that's coming up (is it the 23rd or 26th?), Sonny still appears to be very much alone going by first appearances. Will and Gabi are not shown in that scene with him, although it did look like Chad and Abby were.

I could be wrong but those mixed emotions were not shown at all. Unless they meant Will having mixed emotions of his "performance"... which I doubt.
I am wondering if that was cut out. Tomorrow's episode was tweeted live at Days Cafe and Will will not appear. That spoiler was supposed to be this week.

I agree with much of what you're saying here. I too think they have ditched the gay storyline. Like I said.. I have been watching Days for 15 years, and this whole thing pisses me off so much that I am considering dropping the whole soap. Well, I'll give them September/October, but I'm done if nothing has happened by then. And I'm not exactly holding my breath for something to happen, I think it's pretty clear what has happened, but I certainly hope they prove me wrong.

Poor Freddie, seems he is not getting much to do. Going by that interview we now know that he was originally gonna be paired with Will but it seems that may have been completely obliterated now and any story for him has ground to a complete halt. I think he may be gone by the end of the year

Sonny has had a lot of scenes with his parents. He had a scene last week with both and one today with his mother. Other than that, I've expressed my views. I was talking about the new writers' stuff. In the interview with Freddie that I was referring to, he clearly says he has not had any scenes with them. The exact quote is: Unfortunately, Smith has not been sharing screen time with his onscreen parents Wally Kurth and Judi Evans. “We worked a lot, and now I haven’t really seen them. I miss them; they’re funny. But they’ve been working all the kids together.”So it would appear Dena Higley allowed Sonny to interact with his parents, his uncle Victor and his cousin Brady, but these new writers are just having him play in the kiddie pool, lending an ear to other characters' troubles and not having any romance of his own. Freddie also says quite distinctly that everyone else in the teen set is paired up and he's the odd one out, "fifth wheel" to quote him. In other words, Sonny is the new T or Kinsey - glorified dayplayers with no family presence and no story of their own, just appearing for Will or Abby or Chad to talk to about THEIR problems. The distinction is that Sonny is actually a legacy character, a Kiriakis and a Johnson, and this is how they're treating him? Why? It's not like Dena created the character - he was born on the show twenty years ago. They obviously don't like the facet of the character which Dena did introduce: his homosexuality. Ken Corday must be gritting his teeth and cursing Dena: "Why did I not pay attention to what she was doing? Never mind that she destroyed half the canvas - her main crime was turning Sonny gay!" I think/know that Corday is pulling the reins heavily now. Even if the new headwriters wanted to go ahead with the gay story, he is stopping them.

Sorry, I didn't notice that. I can't say much because I don't know what the storylines will be that far ahead. I'm not going to panic. Most soap actors aren't always on all the time.

So Now Freddy doesn't know who his love interest will be after both he and Chandler believed it originally was going to be Will...I have to tell you I think "Days of Our Lives" is a really crappy soap in general and they are proving it in how they are treating their old fans and potential new ones by their handling of the Sonny (and Will?) Storyline....I'd like to personally give the finger to Ken Corday....I just checked the TV ratings for Days. And of the 6 US soaps.. guess who came in Number 6.. last place??? HAHA
