There is also a spoiler talking about a triangle taking an unexpected turn.

It could of course refer to Will/Sonny/Paul, especially as Will kisses Paul the previous week. However, it is also known that Greg Rikaart is coming on board and is rumoured to be involved in the gay SL. I'm taking a wild guess that Will hasn't been celibate for the last two years and that he might have been involved with Greg Rikaart's character.

SPOILER (SOD)

Sonny decides that he wants to be with Will but first he has to go break things off with Paul.

Will who still doesn't have his memory back goes to see Paul after being told about a fling he had with him.

Will happens to catch Paul at an inopportune time(just out of the shower) and sparks begin to fly with Will and Paul and the two flirt with each other leading to a surprising kiss from Will. Which stuns both of them.

Paul pulls away and tells Will it was wrong when Sonny shows up awkwardly. Sonny and Paul have an emotional conversation where Sonny breaks up with Paul which Paul possibly saw coming and it breaks his heart.

Paul feels angry that Will has ruined his chance with his first love Sonny but tries to understand it but there's also another issue for Paul to deal with which is that he secretly enjoyed that kiss from Will.

So much for Paul's never ending love for Sonny.

Will puts the moves on Paul, planting one on him, but neither know Sonny is outside ready to deliver some game-changing news

Learning what Belle told Will, Sami isn't so thrilled with her little sister, and lets her have it with both barrels blazing

Spoiler for next week - CDL

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sonny (Freddie Smith) will be thrilled when Will (Chandler Massey) takes an interest in their relationship. Will’s going to grow curious about his past with Sonny. He’ll hope to learn more about their history together as they celebrate Christmas.

Since Will cheated, he knows there have obviously been some low points. However, Sonny has been highlighting their love since Will came back into his life. Will may wonder why Sonny’s still so devoted to him. He can see that Sonny truly cares, but he’ll want to gain a better understanding of how their romance played out.

Sonny will be grateful that Will’s willing to listen. It’s clear that Will’s made real progress since he returned home. At first, Will just didn’t feel like the person everyone wanted him to be. His whole world was with Susan so this has definitely been an adjustment.

Nevertheless, Will’s on the right track now and he’ll continue to settle in as a Salemite. Sonny will open up about the good times, but he won’t leave out the bad. He’ll insist that he’s not giving up on Will ever again. It looks like there will be some touching holiday moments in store.

Could Sonny’s recap trigger a memory or two for Will? Christmas miracles are common on Days of Our Lives, so there’s a chance Will will remember something. Regardless, Days spoilers say Will and Sonny will enjoy reconnecting.

Where does that leave Paul? Perhaps someone new will walk into Paul’s life down the road. Sonny and Paul aren’t in a great place right now, but friendship is still possible. Will might even be able to help with that and he’ll reach out to Paul. Will will hope that they can be pals. With any luck, Will might convince Paul and Sonny to be friends as well.

2018 preview for Days Of Our Lives from the newest issue of Soap Opera Digest.

Sonny/Will/Paul:

Ron Carlivati previews that from the beginning the logical rooting interest was with Will and Sonny but he notes that in writing a soap opera the straight line route isn't usually the route you go. Carlivati points out that even as Will is trying to commit to to giving his marriage to Sonny a go at the same time he can't shake the feelings he had been started to develop for Paul and so that will be a complication that continues as the show goes into the new year.

Wednesday January 3:
Will ends thing with a heartbroken Sonny.
"Will has no idea what's in his heart, because he's a blank canvas" notes Chandler Masey (Will). "It's almost an unselfish move for Will at this point. He knows it's not right to force something. He's trying to be the Will who Sonny remembers, but he can't because he doesn't remember".


And at some point during next week, John will ask Paul about his feelings for Will.

Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) face a tricky situation. Sonny will have to deal with some heartache. Will just can’t be the person Sonny wants without his memories. He’ll contend that it’s best to break up – at least for now.
