In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest Freddie Smith(Sonny) is asked how Brent will have an impact. He remarks Brent’s visit reminds Sonny of his past when he was an adventurous guy and what his life used to be like. Freddie notes it makes Sonny question if he really wants the current life that he has with Will and Arianna Grace or does he want go back to being the cool hip guy who used to climb mountains around the world? Here’s some extra stuff regarding spoilers for next week involving Sonny/Will/Brent. Will and Marlena have a conversation on Tuesday June 16th. Then on Wednesday June 17th as Sonny and Brent work together to remodel the coffeehouse Will feels like a third wheel around them.

SOD features Days Fall Preview The new issue of Soap Opera Digest features a fall preview for Days (and all the other soaps)! Ken Corday gives the preview for the coming months, which he says will "end in a whodunit". From SOD - Week of September 2nd
From Soap Opera Digest regarding Sonny and Gabi for next week. Sonny figures out Gabi had sex with Nick and begins to question her common sense. Camilla Banus(Gabi) reveals Sonny discovers a condom wrapper under the couch and since he knows he and Will haven’t sex in the living room he figures out it belongs to Nick and Gabi. Sonny’s harsh reaction to finding it makes Gabi mad. Camilla notes that Sonny isn’t happy with Gabi getting involved with Nick again. Camilla remarks Gabi doesn’t know where things with Nick are heading and it may have just been a slip up but she doesn’t want Sonny telling her who she can be with. As the fight escalates Gabi worries that Sonny will tell Will. Camilla says Gabi believes it’s her personal business and she has the right to do whatever she wants in her home. To make sure Sonny won’t say anything Gabi makes a threat. Camilla previews that the threat is about something that happened in the past and if Gabi reveals what it is it would be very bad for Sonny.

Charles Shaughnessy is returning to "Days of Our Lives" as Shane Donovan! Shaughnessy, who debuted as the ISA agent in 1984, returns to "Days" along with long-time leading lady Patsy Pease (Kimberly) for a limited run during November sweeps. Shane and Kimberly were one of the many supercouples "Days" made famous in the 1980s. Shane and Kimberly's daughter, Theresa, recently returned to Salem after not being seen since 1997. This will be the first time Shane or Kimberly ever share a scene with one of their children as an adult (their son, Andrew, also was last seen as a child in 1997). Shortly after leaving "Days", Shaughnessy went on to star on the hit sitcom "The Nanny", where he played Maxwell Sheffield, the love of series star Fran Drescher's character. This will be Shaughnessy's fourth visit since he left "Days" in 1992. His previous returns were in 2002, 2010 and 2012. www.jason47.com |

From SOD Week of Sept 9th. Sami's trial.
Sami’s trial starts but it’s an uphill battle for her lawyer Justin .Wally Kurth(Justin) says unless his character is able to paint Bernardi as a dirty cop and who was working for Stefano it’s a difficult case because he has no other theory to present to the jury. However Wally notes that one of the problems is that in the public’s eyes Bernardi was a respected and decorated police officer. Chad is the first witness to take the stand but his testimony doesn’t help Sami’s case. Wally remarks that all the witnesses have different reasons for not to be so forthcoming in their testimony and even though they’re trying their best to help Sami they still have to tell the truth. Will is then called to the stand but Justin chooses not to question and he does the same when Rafe testifies. However when Sonny testifies the prosecutor sees an opportunity to call into question his testimony Wally previews that the DA brings up that Sonny is in relationship with Sami’s son and that gives the jury reason to doubt Sonny’s testimony. Wally remarks that Sonny does do a good job on the stand and that Justin is proud of how his son does on the stand. Justin then sees an opportunity to make some points with the jury when Kate testifies. Wally previews that Justin tries to get Kate to bring up Stefano’s name and then if he can that information put forward he can paint a portrait of sorts because everything goes back when Rafe was injured and he wants to show that Stefano was jealous of Rafe being with Kate and he sent Bernardi to harm Rafe. However Kate’s testimony backfires unfortunately and doesn’t help Sami. Wally says that the DA gets Kate to confess that she’s the one who gave Sami the gun that she used to shoot Bernardi and from there the case spirals downward and things don’t look too good for Sami. However Justin thinks he has come up with a way to help Sami when Marge takes the stand.
