I hope I will eventually be able to see this in the Netherlands, because besides the gay characters it looks amazing. (I think this sentence is wrong, but you know what I mean) BTW I could actually watch the HBO version, but the quality was to high for my slow computer so YT is better. I couldnt watch it for some reason and i live in canada, but im sure u can watch the show online if it doesnt air in the us

Daytime has always been a conservative time slot for any show. Regardless of the network, it depends on the viewers overall opinion to see if a character or couple is successful. Which makes me laugh. Soaps by nature are anything but conservative and I don't understand why women (and men) who claim to be conservative watch all the filth that soaps contain. Messaged with one woman on ABC forum who hated Kish because of religious reasons. She hated the gay storyline but didn't have an issue with Mitch trying to rape his own daughter so he could have an heir for his cult. But boy, she didn't want want Sierra to end up with her gay father. I tired to point out the hypocrisy of it all but she didn't see it. ROFL. lol i totally agree

Canada like all places has its homophobe even in my school they use the word f*g alot although they often don't do it to offend. I live in the suburbs and most people are accepting but there are still people that are homophobic especially since the place i live in most the people like me have a south Asian background so there is a bit of intolerance due to that. But in city it is more accepted Lets see.. I live in the bible belt of Norway.. I bet there are homophobes everywhere, even where you are from. But I'd still prefer to live there, even if there was a few bigots there. Because it can't be much worse than here This is basically USA's midwest. Extremely conservative and Christian. I love this city really, it's just that it's too conservative, I would have liked it more if it was a bit more liberal. BTW.. at least you have gay, lesbian and transgendered people on tv. I think that shows a lot about how liberal a country is.. we have NEVER had a gay character on a Norwegian tv show or soap opera, NEVER. A bunch of lesbians through history, sure. But a gay guy? Nah.. Norway is too conservative for that, but lesbian storylines seem to be ok.. typical. Im not trying to offend you if thats what you took it as but i was merely mentioning canada isnt the perfect place its made to be. I mean its better than many other countries but we have homophobia alot in small towns too, especially in farming areas where it is like the us, thats all i wanted to point out

Thanks guys I've watched Adam's storyline and Adam and Fiona's storyline. This is some of the best portrayal of an LGBT person I have EVER seen. I cannot recommend it enough! It is so well done. Sh*t, it moved me to tears! So many great moments.. so real. It's almost perfect, the writing, the acting. And I love Adam's brother, Drew. The way he accepts Adam. WOW! And I loved how he was protecting him for the bullies. I think this storyline is done MUCH better than the god awful Zane/Riley storyline! I wish Canada could adopt me ;( I hate being gay here, and Canada seems so accepting of everyone! I read that a transgendered rights bill passed the house of commons, soon going to the senate in Ottawa.. Canada must be the most accepting country in the world. And I'm, stuck here, in the bible belt of Norway Canada like all places has its homophobe even in my school they use the word f*g alot although they often don't do it to offend. I live in the suburbs and most people are accepting but there are still people that are homophobic especially since the place i live in most the people like me have a south Asian background so there is a bit of intolerance due to that. But in city it is more accepted

I have to say - I'm not feeling particularly inspired by this series. Its all just a bit hit & miss for me - there's just not enough characters left that i'm all that interested in. And Mickey hasn't really been given much decent material so far yh i agree almost everyone from the original cast is gone and i think mickey needs a bf
