I have a feeling Ian's "betrayal" has something to do with Teddy's famous dad? Cheating seems too easy. Hmmmm

i think ian's betrayal is that he is the one behind the black mail. since dixon and then silver will be the one's who know ahead of the others i can't see either of them doing it.
its a way to force teddy out of the closet, and ian was not comfortable with hiding the truth in the first place...anyway, that's my guess.
i don't like that they're making ian be the bad guy in the reason they break up...especially since the first part of the season made us all kinda fall for him, at least for me.

I really hope Ian isn't behind the blackmail. That would suck big time as I love him so much but I think you may be right dalia!!!

Love how the storyline is going. Actually I hope Kyle's leaving will be a blessing in disguise for Teddy coz although the storyline for Marco and Teddy looks abit cliched, but I hope it will be good. And Trevor seems pretty comfortable doing the man-to-man scenes, so it's a bonus for me. I hope the new guy will do just as good. I'm pretty psyched for the spring break fling episode.

Why couldn't he just be transferred to another school or something because he was moving away? I would want a positive image in my head of Ian after he leaves, and him blackmailing Teddy kinda ruins that

I think if it is up to me, it would be Ian/Marco... but guess I just have to be satisfied with what we get...

I find it refreshing that Teddy is going to be struggle with something else for a change that isn't about him being gay. It's not often we see class being handled on tv shows, and add this to a gay relationship and it should be guy. Plus, on a total shallow note, Marco is really hot as well

i'm gonna miss Ian for sure...but i have to say it's not gonna be too hard to get over knowing we're gonna get to see Teddy with this HOT guy. and we get to see him next week for the first time (before Teddy meets up with his first crush). so i'm kinda excited for it. although, for some reason i don't think Marco will last long...but who knows.

Based on recent interview on AfterElton, I would say Marco does last a while, mainly because of this:

Every time I read/watch a Trevor Donovan interview I find myself liking him more and more; he really takes his role to heart. And it's a pleasure to see that he seems to be comfortable enough with himself, so ( unlike other actors ) he doesn't need to tell the viewers/fans that because he's not gay, kissing another male is "awkward" He (and his storyline) really deserves more screen time. I bet " 90210" would be more popular...

He (and his storyline) really deserves more screen time. I bet " 90210" would be more popular... I definitely hope so. I finally watched a whole episode the other night, and I couldn't be more bored with storylines other than Teddy's. However, I am not in the main audience group that the show is targeting, so I doubt we will see more Teddy than what they usually show us now.

I think we all agree that Teddy doesn't get much screen time, but it's not that surprising... 90210 seems to be centered on the girls and the boys usually only get scenes in relation to the girls...

You notice that in those little 5-10 second promo shots for 90210... Teddy is not one of the cast members smiling into the camera?

the promos are old. i think it was before Trevor was added as cast member in the last season.
as for the next time we see Teddy - gah, long wait. 90210 returns April 18th - with them all heading to Mexico for Spring Break. i dunno if it will be this Monday or the next when he meets up with his first crush.

That was incredibly LAME to make Ian the blackmailer. They could have just wrote him off and had him go to boarding school or something. That was some lazy ass writing...period.

April 18th?? Are you serious?? That is so long to wait!! And that sucks so much!!! 90210 really annoys me sometimes and I agree Teddy's screentime always comes second to the girls, especially Silver!!

Freddie is adorable. I wish he had told us just what the romantic moments between his and Trevor's characters entail because I need to have the fire extinguisher on hand for my spontaneous combustion if they ever show them moving it to the bedroom, LOL.
Based on the interview, he says he appears in another four episodes in this season. When the show returns from its hiatus it will have five episodes. The first of this (on April 18th) is the spring break episode, so I guess Alan Ritchson's character, Teddy's former roommate, shows up in this one. Presumably Marco shows up in the remaining four episodes after that plays out. Or maybe he will appear at the end of the spring break episode and skip one in between. I am keeping fingers crossed for the former scenario, because it will mean Teddy's in every episode, unlike the first part of the season where he just disappeared in some episodes.

From the article: Is there anyone besides Donovan who is coming back in a reduced capacity? Olsen: No, Teddy is the only one who won't be in every episode. The story line of Teddy being gay was handled so well last year, it was so much of a non-stereotype, that it was really important to us to keep writing for that character.ROFL! I can't help but laugh at that statement. ;D The few breadcrumbs they managed to throw our way weren't too bad (with the notable exception of Ian's departure), but ... I'm sorry, calling it not stereotypical is just wrong.

Yeah, it's a big disappointment that Teddy's minimal screen time is going to shrink even further. I was surprised to learn that he is actually going to have a story arc during the season, though. Just a sketch of a story, I guess. However, I feel that any amount of visibility is better than no visibility.
