I just got round to reading the interview he did by phone (thanks for the translation he speaks a mile a minute and my German is not that great) and I just have to say he is so freaking cute and funny The way he says things like "Oh Stephen and I go way back" or "My husband thinks I have horrible taste in music" I mean it is just kind of like...I have no idea how to describe it...so blaise and coy...I love it ;D

This passage I think is just one of my favorites from the interview. It's what's making the "Dark Years" livable.
Thanks so much EKP: THE MUTHA F*CKING TRIFECTA OF AWESOME! for easing us diehards viewers along through that bad bad post German Championships/Crazy-Dead-Julian-Seeing-Diana boggy dark times. WHOOSH!
As we make our way simultaneously forward and backward in time I am grateful as always for the descriptive snark, the fierce editing, transcribing, subtitling and uploading and the no holds-bared smackdowns in the smarty-pants EKP Channel comments that get HEATED but y'all never let get personal, disrespectful or inappropriate.
Finally CHEERS to Dennis for being his bad-assed self and his kick-ass portrayal of Roman.

We love you too, kradamantium2525!! The three of us are all giving you simultaneous noserubs right now. Can you feel it?
I think RTL and the writers and the actors should be so proud of creating a story that makes people want to get into those heated arguments (and boy, do they ever). Sharing those Dark Years has made them a lot more palatable. And knowing that the few bright spots scattered through them weren't accidents, that they really were trying to make sense of everything, and that you can actually see those patterns with your 20/20 goggles on... it makes this show even better.
(And seriously, darling, YOU ROCK!!!)

That interview has me feelings all kinds of turned on. By Dennis, by Roman and Deniz, by AWZ in general and by EKPSo, my final gift this week to you in honor of how COMPLETELY MUCH I LOVE AND ADORE EKP[/b], I will hence for now and forever STFU! about Miss Jennifer Steinkamp's wild way and just learn to love and accept that fierce, bad-as-she-wanna-be bomb for who she is. ;D Only for you my darlings. How's that for community diplomacy. It's like chocolate, blood-free diamonds and liquor and MUFF-buddy-services-w/o-strings all in one shot with Whipped Cream and a Shopping Spree on top. I must now go wait and refresh.

You are amazing and lovely, kradamantium2525 -- I'm beaming so widely it hurts! (And it's okay if you don't like Jenny, love! But bless, you are too awesome.) One giant sparkly Dennis for you!

Awe thanks Shelly.
You know, living in NYC we have a lot of famous actors just kinda hanging around riding the subway and it does desensitize you to them a bit.
But I think if I ever had chance to meet Dennis Grabosch up close and personal, I might have to shove his face in my bosom. Lovingly but not lustfully. It's just how I say "Hi" to people I really, really admire and respect.
I guess I should polish the girls up with some glitter first. Hmmm.

I burst out laughing when I read this bit of your post: "I guess I should polish the girls up with some glitter first. Hmmm." That's fantastic, yes glitter would be the better way to go

Loving the chat on here and can I join in the chorus of EKP love??? Your snarky/ witty/ worthy-of-Roman-they're-so-fabulous comments have added a wonderful layer of awesome to the whole DeRo experience And I love the image of embracing Dennis in an ample glittery bosom. I'm sure he'd come up spluttering diamonds *makes mental note to always carry a small vial of glitter to work (I work in central London) just in case Dennis is over and I need to pass on "greetings" from kradamantium2525* ;D

There's another brief interview (it's actually with both, Dennis and Igor, but I didn't find an adequate thread ). There's not much new in it (since the questions tend to be repeating.. ) but I thought I'd post it anyway. Anyone here who'd like to translate? ;D Otherwise I'll try and do it ASAP. There's also this picture I hadn't seen before.. Source: www.awz-soap.de/AWZfc/index02.htm

Oh very cool! Thanks for sharing, placebo! It's pretty short so I can do a quick translation Old love never dies. The love between Deniz and Roman has been rekindled. The first part of Deniz and Roman's story was centered around Deniz's coming out and homosexuality, while the continuation of their romance focuses more on the subject of trust and consciously entering into a relationship with someone that you feel drawn to but who has disappointed you in the past. The love story of Roman and Deniz was very positively received by the viewers in 2007. After their brief relationship ended, many fans pleaded for a continuation of the story on internet forums and in letters. What ultimately triggered this comeback of their love?Igor: That's true. We were swamped with letters and postcards. We did read them all, and everyone noticed the fan campaigns. But in the end it was the writers alone who decided to revive the love between Deniz and Roman. Dennis: I enjoy looking at our fans' reactions on the internet. It's admirable how the fans explore and discuss the subject matter of the show on their forums. Back then, many fans didn't want to accept the abrupt end of Deniz and Roman's relationship. It was pretty hard for everyone. But now we get to see that it was a part of a larger arc that's about to come full circle, and we're very happy about that. Will Deniz and Roman's love be more permanent this time?Igor: It's definitely not going to be a short affair. Deniz has finally grown up and has made a decision. And there's true love involved. Dennis: If you enter into a relationship under the wrong circumstances, where the balance is unequal and there's no communication, a break-up is unavoidable. And that's probably for the best for both partners. But once you've gained the necessary distance from each other and after both partners have developed and grown, when they meet again on equal terms and have learned from their mistakes, why shouldn't they give it another go? The first part of Deniz and Roman's story was centered around Deniz's coming out and homosexuality, while the continuation of their romance focuses more on the subject of trust and consciously entering into a relationship with someone that you feel drawn to but who has disappointed you in the past. Unlike the first time, they don't suddenly find themselves in a relationship; they have to get to know each other again and find out if they're ready to be involved with each other again. So the story addresses a universal issue, not just a gay one. What are your personal opinions on the comeback of Roman and Deniz's love?Dennis: When I first heard about it, I thought I can't go through all that again. But when I spoke to the writers who've developed the story, I was immediately fascinated and saw that it was a unique chance. Igor: I said to Dennis, "Now we can finially finish what we left unfinished a year and a half ago." There've been times in the interim when Roman and Deniz weren't even friends. And now we get this great chance, and I'm very proud of it. How do you get along personally?Igor: We're not just colleagues but good friends and we do a lot together and with our partners. We've known each other for several years now, so by now we're very close and there's no fear of contact/touching. That makes it easier for me to play Deniz and Roman's love story convincingly. Dennis: It still doesn't make it easier for me to play a couple with Igor *laughs*. There are very few people I can allow to get so close to me physically as Igor. But for some reason it just works with us, and that does help.

Thanks for the interview, placebo, and that picture! *fans self* And really appreciate the translation, Aldi. *mwah* Dennis: ...Unlike the first time, they don't suddenly find themselves in a relationship; they have to get to know each other again and find out if they're ready to be involved with each other again. So the story addresses a universal issue, not just a gay one. I love that they keep saying things like this -- it sounds like there's going to be a real relationship developing, and not just falling into bed with each other, and like they really might be giving this the same kind of attention that they do to their straight couples. That'll make me so happy! ;D

See I still haven't figured out how to do icons so I'm just going to admire everyone elses (softfurbear what movie is it from? Aldi made me curious ) On topic now, sort of: anyone know where I can find a front facing pic of Dennis and Igor for that matter. They need to be staring straight at the camera, my friend wants me to try and draw them and I am having a hard time finding a good pic of them both (they don't have to be together) where they are staring straight forwards. Any help is greatly appreciated
