I think he's pretty capable of speaking his mind without needing to be influenced to do so I just said that since I vaguely remember some interview where he said he needed a psychologist at the time he met him (2.32 in this interview- my German is shitty so I'm relying on the translation www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtbvTM7_WWg)I didn't explain myself well- I totally agree that he's capable of doing that by himself- my wondering was just more because what he says often sounds so well thought out and well analysed, that I wondered about the influence from that point of view (since I know from personal experience that going out with a therapist can have the effect of clarifying your thoughts more). I'm not suggesting that he can't think for himself- far from it. I think a lot of what he says is some of the most thoughtful and insightful stuff I've heard in a long time. All wrapped up in a fabulous wit

All wrapped up in a fabulous wit No, I get that, and I'm not denying that we're all influenced by the people we love. He just comes across as a very self-made person to me - you know, someone who's come by his outspokenness and confidence largely through his own efforts and having to stand up for himself a lot, or at least that's the impression I get from interviews. So I guess I read your initial comment a little too much as his hubby having to "show him" how to say what he wants, when that seems very much like a self-earned trait to me (again, subjective impression). But your explanation makes perfect sense

Oy, I think I have to repeat that interview a few times. Boy, they talk fast. It's even worse than German 'luistertoetsen' (listen tests? ) in high school... Thanks for posting though! Great find!

As far as I can tell now this is an amazing interview! Lots of depth. Really great!! Even the YT channel is mentioned. (I think) I hardly ever make a request for subs / recap / transcript, but I really think this is worth it. It's a big task though, so I'm just hoping someone is willing to give it a shot? No hurries of course. Again: wonderful find.

With an audio-only interview, subs don't really make sense, plus the man talks a mile a minute as usual, so timing would be difficult but I can do a translation.

Whatever works for you! (I only mentioned the subs because of the YT clips Dero-lover found and posted ) You're my hero!!! I'll be very, very grateful!! Take your time though. It's weekend for you too... I do understand about 75/80% right now, but the speed he talks with is giving me a headache! So incredibly fast.... (His favorite storylines are Marian/Jenny and Nina/Axel too. I know: completely random, but it made me smile. )

You're a star!! Thanks SO much! And yes, it's great listening to him. Even though the interview lasted for almost half an hour it never got boring...

You're very welcome I swear, interviewing him must be the easiest thing in the world! Just toss him a few questions and let him ramble. They don't even need to be interesting ones (though in this case they were) - he'll turn anything interesting, lol!

There were so many great things in that interview... Don't even know which parts I love the most. Maybe him discussing how much he hated the way they wrote the DeRo ending; the fact that it made no sense (Hear hear!) but that he had to do it anyway and couldn't even bitch about it in public. ;D (And it sounds like there's some good stuff coming up as well, so if I wasn't excited about it before I would definitely be now ) I love it how he explains things and talks elaborately about it. Like I said before: his interviews are never boring.
