cute epi. It reminds me one of my fave quotes on love: "Love- why, I'll tell you what love is: it's you at 75 and her at 71, each of you listening for the other's step in the next room, each afraid that a sudden silence, a sudden cry, could mean a lifetime's talk is over." - Brian Moore, The Luck of Ginger CoffeyIgnore the gendered pronouns, a'course. **** Thanks to the usual gang; all your endless efforts are the reason we get to enjoy Chrolli from all its angles. THANK YOU!

ROMANCE OVERLOAD! ;D Most definitely, yeah!! I'm still in awe, because of that beautiful episode. I love that you can really see the determination in Christian's face in the last scene, that he really means every single word he says and that he loves Olli more than everything. That he's willing to give everything to make Olli happy. That and Thore's unreal blue eyes! Thanks so much for the caps, Joanna, you're the best!!

LOL, Thunderkat, he is a simple country boy after all. I seriously loved this episode. And I don't want to put a damper on anything but why oh why did it have to be Rebecca dispensing advice again?! I won't ever get used to it. Is it cuz she's the only character on the show that doesn't have a life? It would have been oh so perfect and satisfying if instead we could have had Christian having a lovely conversation with wise Frau Lentil over some tasty meal. Sigh.

I've captured the audio from this last scene (from Olli's 'Christian....We need to talk', right up to the end of the scene...and using the overlaid music as originally broadcast) and uploaded it as a MP3. So for anyone who might be interested... www.mediafire.com/file/9r5z9e040a05ake/I want to grow old with you (VL20July10).mp3 A while back, I also did an MP3 for Christian's boxing ring speech about Olli...so I might as well link to that again... www.mediafire.com/file/mbn2nmtqjzz/Christian's boxing speech (04Aug08).mp3 I'll probably end up doing more MP3s like this....x

Christian has always had other characters kind of weighing in re: Olli, Gregor Judith, Lydia, so she serves the function. I can hardly remember her even being in there today their shmoopiness totally eradicated it from memory.

loved the ep today, Christian keeps winning me over ♥♥♥♥ the only thing I didn't get was why they used the the pre-Ibiza bit. Even then I didn't understand why/how Olli's 'because I love you' was the reason for 'I'm going on holidays on my own for two months' but anyway, still squeeing for today's awsomeness ♥

OMG!!! I jsut watched the episode! these boys are going to be the death of me! they just get more and more delicious. Their magic is back. Is like we could post a note in the videos of about a year ago that says, "the reason why you started watching will return. " Te road that lead to their relationship got us all hooked and now the one that is leading to their marriage, is reminding us why we stayed.

This episode had many great emotional moments from the arguement to the flashbacks and Christian's declaration to Olli that he wanted to grow old with him. Olli is wearing the same shirt that he wore in the last love scene from 3/26 and I am just glad that today's clip ended happily since I would always recall this episode when watching the 3/26 scene. Now I can watch both clips and enjoy each of them completely.

Alright, TK, I'm gonna try and just focus on the awesome shmoopiness. ;D tellin' ya, it works. But here maybe focus on this. The more I watch these 2 episodes, the more it seems to clarify Christian's personality/ psychology. Olli wonders aloud to Charlie why in the heck Christian said yes so quickly. Something that is worth wondering since he'd just been downplaying marriage and dismissing it in front of Andi and sebastian. But as soon as christian is presented with the option, he just knows, instinctually that the answer is yes. What's most interesting is that it takes a full 3 episodes or so before he's able to verbalize a. what kind of wedding he wants b. and why he wants to be married to Olli. And I think it's classic Christian. His gut drove his attraction to olli and he couldn't verbalize until the 4.4. episode. His gut told him to let coco go,. His gut is pretty much a heat seeking missile whenever anyone hits on Olli. But verbalization only comes when it is absolutely heartfelt, and when he does verbalize his feelings, it's usually F_____G amazing. Probably because it took so damned long for him to do it, lol.

^ no apologies necessary the words "heart" "soul" and/or "penis" can all be subbed for the word "gut" which, since it was me, you can just go ahead and assume that's what i meant anyway. ;D

I cannot overstate the awesomeness of this episode. Christian's speech was every romantic's dream-- to feel that wave of love coming at you from someone--seriously brought me to tears. And that look in Olli's eye at the very end of the clip-- wow.
Jo and Thore, you continue to amaze me.

I agree, completely, TK. The word that I'd choose instead of "gut" is "heart." In this last episode Christian's head finally caught up to his heart and it was lovely and definitely worth waiting for.

Help! I watched this episode quite a few times yesterday, but then left it too late to download to my ipod. Had to drag myself off to bed, thinking that I'd download it the next day instead. Big mistake.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful to Nanna, Tihkon, Joanna and everyone else. It's just that the music track is now different to the Mediatek version and to my ears it overpowers the dialogue, especially Christian's wonderful words at the end. Have there been copyright issues that caused a change of music and if so is there any chance to have the alternative music an instrumental similar to the original VL choice? It's just that I love this episode so much and want to listen to Christian's heartfelt declaration to Olli, over and over again.

You've slightly flummoxed me as Nanna's vids always have different music to the Mediathek, as her copies are from the show as broadcast on tv (so with all original music) and the Mediathek versions use 'stock' music (copyright issues)....Anyways, I did THIS the other day...but as that's the speech as per broadcast version, here's a mediathek version of it... just for you... www.mediafire.com/file/4cjk1unb1mbnojf/I want to grow old with you (Mediathek-VL200710).mp3

I feel a bit of a nincompoop Joanna. I didn't know that the broadcast episodes differed from Mediathek episodes. Silly me!

All I can say about this episode is...WOW!! It pretty much blew me away.
I can't remember another episode, apart from the 4/4/08, where so much raw emotion was freely exposed.
Christian really opened up his heart to Olli. The words came from somewhere deep. And you could see that Olli knew that and felt reassure and proud to hear these beautiful words come from Christian's mouth.
Interesting how it was Christian who spoke with so much emotion while Olli almost seemed at a loss for words. But you know what...Olli didn't have to say much since his eyes said it all. And the look on Olli's face has Christian told him about them 'growing old together' and not wanting to 'wake up in bed with anyone else' finally left him speechless. LOL!
I loved how they both came to a compromise quickly without drawn out drama, and it was done by them just sitting, listening and loving.
This has got to be one of the most romantic moments I have ever seen on TV. And acted out with so much believability. Well done to Jo and Thore.
Joanna...you are awesome!!
