I'm was aware of that. But here in the US, that would be involuntary manslaughter, which it's possible to not go to jail for. Not sure in Argentina...
However, as long as Lalo or Manuel don't end up murdered or committ suicide, I guess that's something! We'll see.... ;D
Thanks for posting the clips, and yeah...that latest one is HOT, HOT, HOT, and very very sweet and romantic.

However, as long as Lalo or Manuel don't end up murdered or commit suicide, I guess that's something! We'll see.... ;D Really? Here in Norway it's the same as second degree murder. It doesn't matter if it was on purpose or not, you killed another human being, and you're definitely going to jail. Though the punishment tend to be shorter than if it was manslaughter. But, in this case.. First of all, they are football players, so they can get away with these kind of things. Secondly, this is a soap, you never know what will happen. I have a feeling they want Lalo around for this storyline too. I heard this storyline is VERY POPULAR, and the ratings went through the roof when the storyline started. They also need Lalo around as a plot device for Lily. I'm sure it will be your regular "wife finding them in bed together" thing. So yeah, I'm still optimistic! Your welcome! I figured you guys wanted to see it I am kinda disappointed by the sex scene. I thought it would be something hot when I first heard about it. And the pictures made it look very sexy. But it wasn't. It was romantic, yes, but not exactly "sexy". I mean, it was an OK love making scene. It's not the worst I have seen, but I would have liked it more if it was a tad hotter. Oh well, I hope we get to see them have more sex in the upcoming episodes. It can only get better. I do love this storyline, and people have started to sub it too. Which is awesome!

I have to say that I totally loved the love-making scene! For me the sexiest thing is not naked skin but the whole package with the intense looks, caresses and Lalo's utter vulnerability - it is supposedly his first time with another man, isn't it. Well done. I hope there will be many more scenes like this but since it is a soap, something bad is bound to happen to these two cuties. It is so great that they have started adding subtitles. Is it you, Homonikum, that we should give our thanks to for making it happen?

Is it you, Homonikum, that we should give our thanks to for making it happen? You are right, and I wasn't that disappointed per se. It's just that it was more romantic than expected, I expected it to be more sexy/hot. But it was well done. Maybe this is best anyway, the first time is supposed to be romantic And like I said, I hope we get to see more scenes like this one. I bet they will use it as a plot device for the wife, for her to find out. But I'm afraid Lalo might go to jail, and that might ruin everything for our couple! Oh well, I'm crossing my fingers that it won't happen. Well, I asked around. And got a response from a guy from Argentina offering to subtitle it! So now he is working together with a girl named Kelly from Portugal, so they are subtitling the clips together. I don't know where it will be uploaded yet, but I guess it will get uploaded to Kelly's channel.

Very nice scene. (Too bad this two aren't really the type of man I find sexy...) And great song - is this Sigur Ros?

I'm so in love with these characters. I asked on YT if this hot gay lovemaking on TV has caused any controversy in Argentina and obviously there is some controversy but not because of the homosexuality of the characters but because of the the actors (!), one of which is a very famous underwear model and another is known to the wide audience from a programme for children. Anyhow, the actors are really good, surprisingly dedicated to their work and very very sexy for someone with a North European viewpoint (i.e. mainly surrounded by blondes, not that I'm complaining)

It's a very liberal country. It's not like that here in Norway. Yes, we have gay marriage, but only like 52 % supports it. And the church still refuses to marry gay people. The IVF treatment for lesbians is a joke, and there is hard for them to get what they need from men, cause men refuse to donate. Adoption for gay people is also a joke since no country supports gay adoption. Oh, and last but not least.. We hardly have any gays on tv. Well, we have someone in American series, but nobody in Norwegian series. And when it actually do show up a gay in a reality series, guess what.. Idiots send in complaints!!!! It's unbelievable. I am sick and tired ot this country. It is so damn conservative! It doesn't help that I live in the bible belt of Norway either Sorry about all of this, I just had to vent.

All this is very surprising since Norway has a very liberal outside image but I suppose it really is OK to be gay only in bigger cities. If so, it is exactly the same in here, where the majority of population is very conservative. I'm afraid that if something like Botineras whould be shown in TV, the religious right would be outraged. Well, things could be worse...

Well, things could be worse... Yep. People are surprised. I remember a gay guy on a reality show, about farmers looking for love, it's a dating show. And they just had to air ONE episode before the fundie christians started to complain. You see, the christians still have a very strong hold on this country. The South/Western parts Norway are VERY christian and VERY conservative. And this is where I live. I live in the second largest city of Norway, but this city is so.. blah. There are so many christian fundies here, and I have lost count over how many churches there are in this city. Tiny villages in northern Norway in sapmi country are actually more liberal and open minded than this city. Norway is far from perfect, trust me. The majority still look weirdly on homosexuality. It's not exactly accepted, and people think gay people should keep their sexuality to themselves. The country is changing though, one small step at the time. Getting gay marriage was huge, and I'm very proud of our government for legalizing it. More and more people come out every day. I guess our country is getting more liberal, it just takes longer than with other countries.

Ok, this storyline is intriguing, I'm not a fan of telenovelas usually but I'm looking for something new because DeRo aside there's nothing else interesting to watch.. I find amusing the comments of Argentinian women/girls on YouTube, some of them claim the right to watch two men kissing or having sex I'm reliving the same feelings of a few yeears ago when I started watching German soaps.. Despite being a sultry Southerner who likes Nordic men and definitely not a football fan, I'll give this couple a try, their acting is decent.. and yes of course I noticed that they're pretty fit

I' just found this thread and it looks very good! I don't know much about the Argentine but it's interesting that they show real love scenes. if you compare with British soaps which show nothing like this. I's a disappointment. The German seems to be better in that respect but I find the acting better on British soaps. Anyway, what I was thrown by was your description of Norway. I'm from Sweden and I had no idea they're so conservative in Norway. I thought it was like Sweden. Everything isn't perfect in Sweden, far from it. And my environment is very gay friendly so I can't really judge from that. a big part of Sweden definitely isn't and I forget that sometimes. But still it seems to be much better than what you describe. A lot of famous people are openly gay. Lesbians friends of mine recently got a child through IVF, for example, but you still can't adopt if you're gay. If you look at television and film they're quite a lot of gay people represented. But the fictional part of it still doesn't show gay love in a particular interesting way, so I watch international clips on YT instead.

After watching the scenes before they make love for the first time. Their love scene really works for the storyline when you watch everything as a whole and not just the scene by itself. Lalo wanted to be with Manuel, but he had never done something like this before, so he was scared/nervous. So Manuel was really gentle and sweet with him. And then when Lalo was ready they were enjoying the moment and it was really romantic. I'm sure as the story goes, their scenes will have more passion. The chemistry between them is super thick Does anyone know the name of the song and who sings it that plays during the love scene?

This country is still VERY christian and VERY conservative. The christians still have a hold on this country, and it sucks. This is changing though, but not very fast. I'm sure it will get better in the future. Sweden is MUCH more liberal than Norway. Sweden is the most liberal country in Scandinavia, perhaps even Europe. Norway on the other hand is one of the more conservative, probably the most conservative country in Scandinavia, and one of the most conservative in Northern Europe. Yes, we have gay marriage, but the attitude of the people hasn't changed much unfortunately Sorry for going off topic.. But yes, I love this storyline! And I am so glad Kelly has started to sub this soap, since it is VERY interesting. I like the Malo (manuel & lalo), and the love making scene was hot. I hope to see more hot scenes like that one ;D Totally! I love their accent. It's very Italian kinda. I honestly thought they spoke italian the first time I saw a clip from this soap. But then I heard spanish words, and I was like.. this isn't Italian! It's Argentine, and probably the hottest Spanish accent. Though I kinda like the Spanish they talk in Spain more, but this is deffinitely the best accent in Latin America!

@ homonikum Malo means "bad, evil, sick" in Spanish, we better find another portmanteau for them.. 40% of Argentinians have Italian ancestry, this affected their accent, and I like theirs more than that of Spain, who sounds a bit silly to us.. It's very interesting for me reading these perspectives from Scandinavia, here in the south we usually think that Nordic countries are so much more liberal than us, I guess it's slowly changing though, Spain and just recently Portugal have legalized same-sex unions. I was quite surprised a few months ago reading that Lucas Sanders is the first major gay character on GTST, I thought LGBT storylines were quite the norm on Dutch tv, the same in countries like Sweden and Danemark, it seems like Germany is quite an exception..
