I think David Kreizman, even during his short time on ATWT and now with AMC, which people have said is getting better, has shown that he is a better writer than Jean Passanante, so I don't know if he would have made he same mistakes with Reid that she made with Noah. I think DK's reasoning behind having Reid interact with so many people was to make it easier for the audience to get to know him.
I remember that a lot of people posted on various sites that the show was better during the short time when DK was on board, and when he left, the change was very noticeable, even though they were still supposed to be following his longterm story outline. I think one change that we saw was Reid suddenly stopped having scenes with people not named Luke.

Thanks for this. A great write up about a great character. I agree he was one of the best on this show in years. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed and loved an new character so much. He will be missed.

Most of the calls will sadly be from fangirls saying 'oh, I'm so nervous! I'm so nervous!' Blech.

Yeah, I would be one of those nervous fangirls, so I won't be calling in. But what do you expect? Most people never thought they'd be able to talk to ESS on the bone; I would be shaking. *shrug* Despite the fangirling, I still expect some great questions. Through the nerves, there were some great questions asked last time.

And the last time that Eric was on they were overwhelmed with callers, so they probably do the best that they can. Besides, I don't mind that Eric gets to hear how popular he is.

Eric's movie, Silent House, is generating a lot of buzz at the Sundance Film Festival. According to the LA Times Blog, the first showing, which was at midnight, was packed with studio buyers, even though the showing was intended for festival volunteers. Several blogs believe the film will be picked up by a major studio in the next couple of weeks.

Eric is pre-pre nominated (or something like that) for a daytime emmy this year. I with him good luck, he deserves to win in my opinion (specially with Van Hansis absence)

Did anyone else see ESS on Body of Proof last week? It's weird watching him as someone other than "Dr. Oliver". He was of course his usual excellent, even though i missed Reid's mannerisms.

He was on the most recent episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and his Reid mannerisms were intact as he was basically that character except straight and in a business suit.

Eric has been a busy guy! He's also landed a role in the Fox pilot that's been picked up called I Hate My Teenage Daughter. It's slotted after X Factor right now. He is so not Reid in this! He is a space cadet in this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvV6dHgzxhkHe's about 47 seconds in. So funny. Some fans had gone to the LA pilot taping and apparently he's a scene stealer. Go figure There's also cut clips of him on youtube in his L&O and Body of Proof appearances. He's in a suit for both! People have figured out he looks great in a suit.

If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but less magical.

I admit I'm going to watch teenage daughter mainly for him and for one of the mom's who is a tony winner (can't remember her name) she reminds me of Lucille Ball.
