Argggg.... I just saw the preview on YT and I'm pissed! Noah and Luke can't kiss, but Noah and Ameera can lock lips??? Doesn't even matter if Noah wants to kiss / be kissed by Ameera or not (I guess not. Who wants to kiss someone that annoying? : ; it's just WRONG!!! Luke is his boyfriend: we should have seen them kiss before there could even be this sort of twist!! (That's dutch for 'I'm angry' btw.)

TPTB can clearly state that they HAVE shown NUKE kissing TWICE. Even though those kisses were 9 months ago, and both times were clearly done for SHOCK VALUE. I'm in the strange little mindset of not giving a shit about what TMFIC are going to do for the couple in the present or future.
I'm really done with giving a crap about this couple, because TMFIC are determined to continue to throwing the audience/viewership that actually likes this pairing meager scraps.
I have a question: When did the spoiler/foiler come out that TMFIC had it in store for the reveal of The Plot Device's backstory to be that she's Noah's half-sister?

AFAIK that was never really considered a spoiler... it was just an idea that was tossed around in the beginning of the story when colonel creepy was still involved...

I notice that spoilers haven't really been coming out for the upcoming two weeks (nor really for this week). Not sure if there has been a crack down or what but if more Noah & Ameera kissing is what we have to look forward to, no thanks.

Thanks. I can't imagine that TMFIC would actually make The Plot Device Noah's half-sister. She's way too "into him" as her "knight in shining armour" and for TMFIC to have the taint of incest associated with it, that would be even worse.

Bonobochick - We're talking about a British teen soap opera and one of the characters IS going to end up dead anyway, so that'll be the end of that storyline. Since TMFIC are having a difficult time being able to portray the NUKE couple like "every other heterosexual pairing" on the show, I can't imagine them trying to revealing that Noah and The Plot Device are actual half-siblings (even with them BOTH not knowing about it) after she kisses him. How is that going to fly for all the "conservative viewers" who are anxiously awaiting to see The Plot Device "turn" Noah from the dangerous lifestyle of homosexuality to a perfectly straight, normal and traditional lifestyle (man and woman)? Thanks. I can't imagine that TMFIC would actually make The Plot Device Noah's half-sister. Question: WHY DO YOU EVEN BOTHER TO WATCH IT ANYMORE? Really !
Even before the plot device was introduced I got totally tired of the ban and even stopped searching for news about ATWT... just posted here because of the "unnatural" activity on this part of the forum. Hit them where it hurts, stop watching ATWT at once!! Do not tune in your TV, don't see it on YouTube, don't write them letters, don't cover them in the press, etc. etc. etc. Just stop thinking about them !! (it is not like there aren't better substitutes out there).
If enough people do it, you will find NUKE in full wind in no time (and you will know it because of the, hopefully minimal, press coverage, not because you are looking at it).

According to the spoiler thread, Capt Pervy is supposed go get out of prision in may (must be sweeps time), but I'm no expert on American Justice, but how can a man convicted of murder get out of jail without serving less than a year?

Well you know how it is. Overcrowded prisons, need to make room for people who committed serious crimes like smoking pot. And I'm sure Winston was on good behavior. Presumably, as Ameera's secret master, he needs to be brought into the story so that he can reveal his sinister plan.

I think they just said that he would be back, right? As in "on the screen"? So we could see him in jail, either because Ameera visits him there or because he gives her instructions over the phone. He doesn't have to escape or be released to show up.

He could also escape with the help of Satan or the AFA.
Nowadays I'm only watching ATWT for Van who is way too hot for american tv. Why can't he just fly to Germany and start a threesome with Oli and Christian?

Ameera confesses her upset about Noah's lack of interest in her and is ready to go back to Iraq, but Luke suggests that the three of them live together. How stupid is this? First Noah and Ameera decide to move out of the Snyder farm and live on their own because the marriage has to seem real and now Luke wants to move in?? No, that wouldn't seem weird at all... And why on earth does Ameera want to go back to a country where she runs the risk of being killed??? Just because some guy isn't interested in her?? Yeah, right...

I saw this earlier on another board. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF MARRYING HER THEN? Yes, caps lock of rage. This story gets stupider and stupider. Someone please explain to me what in the world Luke is thinking? I mean, what is going on?? I just don't get what TIIC are doing anymore except mucking up things. I mean... come on!

I know... It makes NO sense at all! How hard can it be to make up a believable story?? Even in my dreams I'll probably come up with better (more logical) stories than these...

*shakes head over Luke's insanity*
Really. What's the deal with all the saintliness? Luke should be doing cartwheels at the thought of Ameera going back and should leave it to Noah to run after her and talk her out of it. Blegh.
I'll just keep telling myself that evilDaddy will return May 6th and all will be well by then because then at least it will all be revealed to be sham and the torture can finally be over.

Word, Lola. I just don't get why Luke always has to be the one to come up with solutions to solve the plot device problem? It's also BS about her feeling "slighted" because she's feeling "left out" of Noah's life. She has a completely different idea of how this "sham marriage" is supposed to be. Noah should be the one to sit her down and tell her directly (even if it's on a daily basis) that he, along with his BOYFRIEND, are doing her a favor. That she's going to have to "get with the program" and stop feeling like just because he wants to spend some time with his boyfriend, without having to consult the "wife" that it's a situation that she's going to have to deal with from time to time. Like how Luke, his boyfriend has to deal with the fact of his boyfriend is married to a conniving and passive-agressive bitch. *shakes head over Luke's insanity* Really. What's the deal with all the saintliness? Luke should be doing cartwheels at the thought of Ameera going back and should leave it to Noah to run after her and talk her out of it. Blegh.

I am just wondering how someone at PGP thinks this storyline is possibly working. It makes no sense. It is stupid, stupid, STUPID not to mention not even remotely entertaining. Are we supposed to feel badly for Ameera? Are we supposed to cheer on Luke's ridiculous martyr act or Noah's dumbass altruistic action in "rescuing" Ameera by marrying her? At what point is this storyline supposed to not just make sense but captivate the audience? No, seriously. At what point? So now that we know that Ameera feels badly that she will throw herself at her gay husband and he will reject her even though she has known all along that he not only has boyfriend he is in love with but that her marriage to him was a sham to keep her in the country from the start, she's willing to just pack up and leave to go back to her war torn country? It's not like Noah has led her on. I can say that much for Noah, despite how irritated I am at his actions and how he has hurt Luke, he has not led Ameera on thinking their marriage was anything more than a sham. He's told her more than a few times he loves Luke and has tried hooking her up with Casey(!) a few times so he can spend more time with Luke. At what point did she think she had a chance with Noah? As much as I hate DeVa, on some level it makes sense. This "Back In Iraq..." shit makes no sense and actually gets more absurd as time goes on. When the fuck is this storyline going to make sense and be entertaining? And here I thought I wasn't going to rant about this show til Friday's ep.

Luke really needs to be less supportive. Who cares if that might make him seem more selfish, at this point he deserves it. Not to mention, you show me the soap heroine who doesn't have a selfish streak (mind, I don't think that Luke would be selfish at all in this case, just saying you don't become a great soap character by trying to outsaint Jesus himself; nobody likes a character who will let everybody and everything walk all over them; soaps love the characters who will fight for what they want).

Luke's support and continuing perpetuation of this stupid marriage is one of the more grating things to me in this storyline. Of everyone in this storyline, I actually feel that he needs the hardest slap. No one is that nice especially when it's another individual trying to steal away someone they love. Where is Luke's backbone?

Well, he definitely needs to grow one! If Noah was my boyfriend and someone like Ameera came around I sure wouldn't be so nice and supportive. Of course you support the one you love, but I sure would keep my eyes out and I certainly wouldn't agree with everything Luke has agreed on so far... There are limits!

Well, realistically speaking, most marriages in the Middle East are arranged by parents as opposed to developed through dating. So it's not implausible that a young Arab woman might see a marriage to a complete stranger as merely the stepping stone to a real relationship. Homosexuality also works differently in the Middle East, with most gay men having wives and carrying out same-sex relationships covertly on the side as opposed to openly.
All of that said, it doesn't excuse this nonsense. Although of course I still don't genuinely believe that Ameera's really an innocent Iraqi girl who miraculously made her way to America and tracked down Noah on her own. It's just too implausible, even for a soap. I'm sticking with the belief that she's a hireling of Colonel Mayer brought in as part of an attempt to "cure" Noah by appealing to his sappy nature.
But this storyline has killed any respect for Luke and Noah as characters. They come across as so unbelievably dumb the way they just eat whatever bs Ameera spoon feeds them. Noah's heedlessness of the strain he's putting on Luke is revolting. Luke's passive submissiveness in accepting the whole situation makes me want to punch him. He is so lucky he doesn't have a f*g hag because she would slapping him silly right now.
I'm not sure what this spoiler portends besides even more crushing irony on ATWT. He doesn't love her so she wants to go back to Iraq?! Sounds awesome to me! What's the problem?
