Luke and Noah plan a swim at Snyder Pond, but when Luke arrives, Holden and Carly are already there. Naturally, a bitter confrontation ensues and when all is said and done, Holden and Carly realize the damage their relationship has caused and they decide to end things. Later, Luke tells Noah he no longer believes love can last and has doubts about the future of their relationship. Noah insists they have what it takes to make it work. Luke counters with the elephant in the room, AKA, they haven't had sex yet, even though there's nothing really in their way. As it turns out, Noah is in their way, because even though he swears he loves Luke, he's not ready to have sex with him (you know, the grieving the dead father bit). Luke's fears about their future grow. Meanwhile, in another part of Oakdale, 15 year old Parker Snyder loses his virginity....... www.afterelton.com/node/18509#comment

Spoilers for Thursday August 7th.
Luke convinces Holden to try once more with Lily. He goes to see her and finds her with Mike who is doing construction on the house. When Lily sees Holden she pretends that she and Mike are more than just friends. Mike realizes and asks her not to put him in the middle of her situation with Holden. Later, Holden goes to Carly and asks her to tell Mike to back off. It's awkward but Carly does and Mike assures her he is just being a friend to Lily. When Lily comes to have lunch with him, he tells her he doesn't want to get involved and convinces her that Holden doesn't want a divorce. Meanwhile, Carly tells Holden she did what he asked and Holden hugs her as Lily arrives to see.
Carly asks Henry to spend more time at Metro and he says it will be no problem. Bonnie hears and wonders what Vienna will say. Henry admits Vienna has left him and Bonnie is shocked. Later, Bonnie gets money from a client and admits to Henry she doesn't like what she's become and wishes she could quit. Henry offers her a job helping him at Metro and she agrees.
Meg feels better since she's not wearing the necklace and tells ghostly Sofie she won't kill Paul. But when she dresses she puts the necklace on and feels paranoid again. When Paul comes to take her to the doctor, she threatens him with the gun. Paul gets it away from her and calls 911. Meg is brought to the hospital in a straight jacket. Paul aches for Meg while Sofie appears to Meg again and tells her she should have killed Paul when she has the chance.

AfterElton.com: "Nell Mooney, who was the ATWT InTurn winner, is returning to the show in September as Livia Gordone, the character she played a few months back. Folks here should remember that Livia was the dirty cop who tricked the boys into turning over Ameera to Col. Mayer and gave Luke a nasty blow to the head. Is she back to cause the boys more grief? We shall see. Let's just hope one of the guys doesn't marry her......" www.afterelton.com/node/19026

From the Suds Report: As The World Turns, Global/CBS — Spoiler Alerts: Ali and Aaron are heading to the altar! Mike bangs Lily!•Can ATWT continue its renaissance? You decide after reading this exclusive preview: After becoming engaged to Aaron, Alison and Chris flirt with hooking up before the contrived and desperate wedding approaches. Meanwhile, Luke isn’t too thrilled with Lucinda’s new boy toy, Brian/Greg (played by ABC-er Laurence Lau) after he utters something homophobic to Oakdale’s crotch-less gay wonder.•Looks like Rick Decker is behind the poisoned second-hand gifting in Oakdale, not James nor Dusty. Memo to Rick: couldn’t you have done us all a favour and killed off Ali at least? Geez… there’s only one thing worse than a successful murderer, and that’s a dumb psychopath. And that means we get to say good riddance to Jeff Martin once again, but “the door is open for his return,” report insiders. Hey, stop with the threats, ATWT! •This week, Noelle Beck (nuLily) gets the ride of her life thanks to exiting Mike Kasnoff (played by the oh-so-sexy and talented Jon Prescott), who plows her with some much-needed love and attention. Oh, and that sound you hear? Martha Byrne (the real Lily) screaming, “I want some of that, ‘yo! Damn you, Goutman!” I also hear Lily lights a cigarette at the end of the episode. Or so the imaginary P&G publicists fibbed to me. •Another legacy character has been recast without any immediate family nearby so we viewers could give a damn. Oh well, she’ll be fired in six months. Deirdre Skiles has been cast as Dani Andropolous, the daughter of super-couple Steve and Betsy. Dani returns to Oakdale with really bad collagen-induced lips (just like her “mom,” Meg Ryan) as a forensics expert who crosses paths with Margo on Aug. 15. I hear she may be paired romantically with Chris Hughes. Let’s pray to the Goddard that’s true. •Poor Holden! Promising soap newcomer Michael E. Rodgers (Neal) is back on Aug. 13 and 14 to woo that “slut” Carly again. Also, Zach Conroy joins The Liberty Ciccone Show as Leo, an intern hired by Katie and Brad to smack some sense into their incestuous ward. Incestuous first cousins can have sex, but not two adult gay men! Discuss.Ok, while I agree with what he was trying to say about Parkety having sex while Nuke wait for that special moment , Parker and Liberty are not biologically related so while it's tacky, it's not incest. I'll post the rest of my thoughts in the discussion thread. ETA: Wk of 8/18: www.afterelton.com/node/19088Soaps.com wk of 8/11/08: www.soaps.com/astheworldturns/spoilers.

AfterElton spoilers for the week of 8/18: "Luke and Noah will air on Monday and Wednesday's episodes of ATWT and here is what is happening: Lucinda introduces Luke and Noah to Brian Wheatley, who Lucinda thinks should run Luke's foundation. Luke and Brian talk about Luke decides to hire the man. Luke sees the sparks between Lucinda and Brian. The foursome spend the evening with some dancing at Metro and later at the Lakeview they toast their new alliance. But the good times don't last for long when Brian's first order of business is to suggest to Luke that, for the good of the foundation, he not be so open about his relationship with Noah. Luke is offended and thinks Brian is being a homophobe. But Brian refutes that, insisting that the business world is a conservative one and that's where his concerns lie. Luke wonders if he made a mistake in hiring Brian. Lucinda tries to smooth over this messy situation. " www.afterelton.com/node/19305

This is just a rumour so far: "Taking the advice of Lucinda into consideration, Luke and Noah agree that Brian is correct that they need to be careful about not being too open about their relationship while working for the foundation. This decision results in something unexpected, but it doesn't stop their relationship from moving forward. They will even exchange rings to show commitment to each other and while not being able to be open about their relationship up at the foundation will be frustrating for both of them, they will soon have much bigger troubles to worry about. More on that later. Sex is still off the table for them until October or early November, but another little bird just told me that a love scene has already been taped. Don't expect a lot of skin when this scene airs. It's more like a classic movie love scene than a steamy, daytime love scene and it fits their characters and their story very well." forums.vanhansis.net/index.php?showtopic=12708

Fall preview from SOD: LUKE/NOAH: "Luke and Noah are in their second year of college as as the fall continues, you'll see more and more of them, and Luke is getting more interested in his identity as a gay person. He and Noah have somewhat different ideas about how to express it. Luke gets more interested in gay issues, in making more of a statement maybe than Noah is interested in. There will be further complications to that that will take them in a new direction." - Jean Passanante forums.vanhansis.net/index.php?showtopic=12761
