Next week, Noah and Ameera have just moved into their new digs when the ICE comes calling. Hijinks and hilarity ensue as the faux newlyweds struggle to convince a suspicious agent that they are a real couple. Meanwhile, growing more frustrated with the situation, and despite Noah's warnings that they must be more careful or they'll get caught, Luke devises a scheme to spend some time alone with Noah. Of course Casey is part of the plan, but will Casey go along with it? Find out next week on Thursday and Friday's episodes of ATWT.
Unless the boys (and Casey and Ameera) show up for Katie and Brad's wedding, which ATWT completely revolves around Monday - Thursday, you'll only be seeing them on Friday, April 18th episode (a Katie free day, thank you!). With Casey related to the bride and Luke related to the groom, who knows? Anyway, on Friday, the preview clip for next week's shows pretty much set up the scenario. Filming continues on the gang's bi-cultural romance movie with Noah and Ameera playing the star crossed lovers. When Ameera plants a kiss on Noah, is it in Luke's script or is she adlibbing? Are the cameras even rolling? Aware that Ameera is jealous of Luke and Noah, Casey tells Luke that Ameera is after Noah. Luke goes to Noah with the information and Noah..... refuses to believe it. Noah insists to Luke that he loves him, yet he won't hear a bad word against Ameera. Luke gets angry and walks.
Beginning Tuesday, May 6 (according to astheworldturns.net) Noah's father returns. Will we find out the truth when he returns that Col. Mayer and Ameera have planned everything from the beginning to break up Luke and Noah or will something else happen?
Luke makes a decision about his future with Noah---who has wed Ameera so that she can stay in the country---on Tuesday, April 29. "I think Luke doesn't get the whole reason that Noah and Ameera are [keeping up the marriage ruse]. He thinks it's stupid," says Van Hansis (Luke).
May Sweeps Preview:
Luke/Noah/Ameera: "[The situation] becomes extremely problematic, not just because of her feelings, but because of other complications. Luke [doesn't] distrust Noah's feelings for him, but he's extremely frustrated by the situation. Forces beyond their control start to step in."
What about forces beyond their control start to step in? Does this mean Daddy Dearest is lurking in the bushes again? Haven't we been there before? And how did he EVER get out of Jokedale's prison? As brain dead as these writers are, it's probably on good behaviour!
his week you can catch the boys on Wednesday and Thursday's episodes of As The World Turns and here is what's up....
Apparently Ameera wasn't listening when Casey (who by the way, gets a job as Emily's assistant on Tuesday's show for those who are interested) said she couldn't turn Noah because she puts on her sexy black dress, lets her hair down and makes a play for Noah, confessing her feelings for him. But when it's made clear that she can never have Noah, Ameera decides she'd rather go back to Iraq if she can't have a real marriage with her husband. She is talked out of that idea, that is, if she ever really intended on going. Hmm......
Elsewhere, Luke is upset to learn that his mother Lily has suddenly up and left town and that makes him in even less of a mood to deal with Noah and his wife. Luke realizes he can no longer take the situation regarding Noah and Ameera as it is and suggests to Noah that the three of them live together. Unfortunately, he doesn't get the answer he wants to hear.
According to sources, the show’s upcoming “Nuke” storyline will have Luke moving in with Noah and Ameera, an Iraqi character that Noah has a “greencard marriage” with. Ameera surrenders the bedroom she had shared with Noah to Luke. When Ameera’s presence stilll gets in the way of his relationship with Noah, Luke decides to leave, causing Noah to tell Ameera he wants to end the marriage.
Luke moves in with Noah and Ameera this week to try and salvage his romance with Noah, but the living situation proves too close for comfort.
"He's grasping at straws, trying anything," sighs Van Hansis (Luke). "He comes up with all of these ideas and one of them is moving in as Noah and Ameer's roommate. Luke feels like he's slowly losing Noah - not to another person, to a situation. And he's trying to reverse that. Holden tells him not to do it, but he doesn't listen to him."
"Ameera surrenders the bedroom to them and it's very awkward. Everything's very awkward," sighs Hansis. "Noah and Luke go into the bedroom, and Luke starts freaking out that Ameera is right outside the door and can hear everything. It's not a romantic moment or sexual moment. It's just Luke being frustrated. He's always frustrated, always paranoid, and always moping," chuckles Hansis. "So Luke has a little freak-out, yells at Noah, and leaves the house."
Meaning his new living situation lasts "a couple of hours, if that. Luke does this to himself," notes Hansis, wryly.
Noah's not too happy, either. He blurts out to Ameera that he can't take it anymore; he wants this marriage over ASAP. "They've got to live together so it looks real for the immigration officers, but it leaves Luke in the lurch," explains Hansis. "Noah feels obligated to Ameera to make sure she's okay, but he's frustrated as well, because he wants to be with Luke and can't be."
Separation anxiety might be the least of Noah's worries in the weeks ahead. "Things get very, very complicated," warns Hansis. "Everything starts coming to a head."
Looks like Tuesday, April 29th is it for the guys (and Ameera) this week. Here's what's up:
Luke discusses his plans to move in Noah and Ameera with Holden, who thinks it's a bad idea. But Luke does it anyway. However, it doesn't last long. Once there, Ameera gives the bedroom over to the boys. But once they are in the bedroom, Luke is unable to relax, imagining that Ameera is right outside listening to them. The frustration builds, Luke and Noah argue and Luke moves out as quickly as he moved in. With that, Noah has had enough. After Luke leaves, he lays into Ameera and tells her that he wants out of the marriage as quickly as possible.
Luke wants to move in with Noah and Ameera. Ameera reluctantly gives the bedroom for the two guys to share. The minute Luke and Noah fall into closeness with one another, Ameera makes things uncomfortable for Luke, who decides maybe he made a mistake. An upset Noah says he wants the marriage to be over and done with immediately
