Well when your watching today's Nuke clips on youtube, make sure you don't blink or you'll miss a scene.

I loved yesterday's episode to be honest... It's so much better to watch just the two of them having these kind of scenes together than anything having to do with the Ameera story.

Agreed. It's nice to see them have scenes about each other, about their feelings and their pasts, about their relationship. Something truly personal rather than worrying about other people. Or to have obstacles in the way of truly talking about each other.

Yeah, yestersday's show was one of the best in a long time. Luke finally mentions his birth father (which I suspect will turn out to be more than a history lesson). We finally get to see what's been on Noah's mind, something that should have happened a long time ago.
The Noah yesterday reminded of the Noah I loved before the whole marriage started it. I love it and about time the "real" Noah came back.

I enjoyed the June 25th episode: gaydaytime.blogspot.com/2008/06/as-world-turns-25-06-2008.html It is AMAZING how much better the coupling seems, even with the drama, now that Ameera is gone. I may be irritated with Noah's handling of his issues and Luke's "Lily-ness" in this situation but it feels like the characters are back as they should be before the whole Ameera mess began (which, again, added exactly what to the Noah/Luke storyline? ). They seem more in character than they've been in a long time versus all of that out of character BS that has been going on since late February. I thought Luke telling Noah about Damien and showing him the video was well done and rang true. Noah keeps going on and on about his daddy issues, and granted his father is (not was cause we all know he ain't dead ) a total bastard, but he's not the only person ever to be screwed over by his father. Luke has Holden, who is a wonderful father who loves him no matter what, but Luke also has Damien, who I think does love him but can't accept Luke as he is. I think Luke is being so patient not just because he loves Noah, but because he also understands the demons driving Noah. At the same time, Luke was right to tell Noah that he's there if Noah needs him and that he loves Noah but he's going to back off otherwise. That's a healthy reaction to the situation though I have a feeling that it won't last long and Luke's "Lily-ness" will shine through again soon. I have hope still that TPTB can repair the last several months of damage done to this pairing and hopefully there will be no repeat of such a nonsensical, shitty storyline like "Back In Iraq..." for the guys. I am all for some drama for Noah and Luke to work through - and the spoilers read promising - but they've got enough to work out between them without some random chick thrown in the mix ever again.

i just noticed something....and i hope no one jumps down my throat...but i have been watching (on youtube) as best i can the max/enric and iago story.....and i have noticed a resemblence of luke and noah...to max and enric....being that they both were/are teenage/coming out stories....where as max and iago are more of a grown up story. from what i read so far the fans of that show really loved when max and enric were together...however they love the max and iago couple better now....because max and the storyline seemed to mature..... i wonder if thats the situation here....i mean both luke and noah are in their first relationship here....and how many of us are with our first true loves? (i am ducking my head right now) i just wonder if luke and noah can evolve to something more grown up like with max and iago or will noah leave....and luke find someone else that will be greater then what luke and noah have now?......and be able to bring the fans love to the new mr. X but the danger of that is we could have another hollyoaks "conflict" Mcdean'ers against the jpk'ers. well i hope i was clear here....just something i was thinking of when i was watching the max & iago story....

okay, so I've only read the liveblog, but if he was shipping out 'tomorrow' wouldn't he want one last/first night of loving 'tonight'?? They seriously trying to say he needs a healthy night of sleep? alone? seriously?? Do these writers know any 18yr olds??

No need to duck... I'm one of those MaxIago lovers. Like Max and Iago, Luke is totally comfortable with who/what he is. Such is not the case with Noah... too many unresolved issues. Would the writers be willing to introduce a 3rd(?) 'regular' gay character... someone who does not carry any identity-baggage? Would be nice if they did and gave Luke the opportunity to go where he hasn't gone with Noah. More importantly though, would the audience accept another gay character? I must applaud the ATWT team for what is obviously a courageous move... Pride Celebration... I wouldn't want to be the one reading some of the e-mails or answering the phones calls they'll be getting... I've read a number of the comments that accompany various YT clips... makes your skin crawl.

First of all: Van/Luke looked really handsome today. Finally a good hair day! Jake didn't look that bad either. And second: I loved this episode! So much better than I thought it would be. CL was funny and just herself. Even the interview didn't seem that forced. I'm not going to mention Noah's dancing, because basically: every dancing on soaps sucks.

I liked today's episode! ;D My two favorite things... Jake/'Noah' in a red shirt and someone styled Van's hair nicely so that Luke didn't look "special" today. Two fabulous things. And kisses too!

Van/Luke was on in the 2nd half of today's (Friday, July 4th) episode, in a scene with Holden/Jon. They were talking about 'how love can make you do screwed up things, like staying with a pyscho user like Paul (for Meg) and supporting someone that constantly screws with you head, like Noah does to Luke.
Then, the show had scenes of the following couples kissing (Parker and that young girl), making out (Brad and Katie) and getting ready for 'no strings attached' sex (Jack and Janet).
Now, why in the hell couldn't we get scenes of Noah and Luke doing either one of those things in the same episode?
Is it really that much for TPTB to make it seem like they WANT Noah and Luke to come across as 'just like every other soap opera couple' to their viewing audience?!
How long has it been since the characters of Janet and her daughter were introduced on the show? Yet, we get to have those characters in romantic and sexual situations with Jack and Parker.
Noah and Luke have been an official couple for HOW long and they've still not had sex yet?
I know that I'm ranting right now, but it's ridiculous.

I looks on all accounts like a lovely episode, but I have to admit, I just don't get it. Okay, so Noah wants to join the army. I think it's stupid, but fine. So first he kisses Luke and says he wants him back and then announces that he is leaving and there is no relationship? And when explicitly says that he is leaving the next day and doesn't ask for or is willing to give a "One night before I leave" nookie? It's treated as a major episode yet there is no major build up nor aftermath

I need to hunt around for a .gif of Luke waving the rainbow flag in Noah's face in the July 3rd episode.

LOL! Haha! Thanks so much for the link. I haven't stopped laughing for the past 5 minutes. I have that preview on pause at the perfect moment right now. Seriously, Noah's/Jake's face is priceless on it.

so agree it does not makes sense.....first noah tells luke its him he wants to be with....kisses him....acts like they are gonna be together....but then...oh wait....thats right i just joined the army...so bye!?!?! come on....this is somehow suppose to make sense to us?.....and lets not even discuss how they are not treated like the other couples on the show. the one thing i was impressed with was luke! i guess i am starting to see him in a different light now....someone that has the strengh to go thru all of this....i just hope that if it becomes too difficult to be with noah.....that he has the strengh to move on....remember thre can be something better down the road.

I'm wondering if Noah let his employers know he was quitting not to mention dealing with withdrawing from school so that he doesn't get a F in every class cause the way he was talking with Tony, he totally didn't seem like "hey, I'm pretty much shipping off tomorrow cause I enlisted" during their conversation. It's a minor nitpick, I know, but still...

Glad to read on here I am not the only one disappointed with Noah on this episode where are the writers taking this character? He's all 'I love u, I love u not' well what is it? why if he loves Luke would he not want to be with him his last night there. Maybe to not give him false hope since he is leaving...but wait he already had done that by coming back kissing Luke and telling him he loves him...
I am so confused with these two...

Some good points were made by Luke on why this just wasn't for Noah, on why he shouldn't do this and what does Noah do lets him think he is out of his reach and that he cares more about joining the army. Blatantly ignores him and leaves him on the sidewalk as the van drives off...so messed up...
Actually he came back at the end but to me it didn't seem like it was because of Luke but because he couldn't be himself in the Army...anyone else get that feeling? did I read that wrong?
Now note to writers if you are bringing back Noah to Luke why wouldn't they kiss passionately...why wouldn't Luke kiss the love of his life that has come back to him? That really annoyed me since they keep saying they are the same as the other couples. If this was any of the other couples they would've had sex on the porch!
