Please discuss the pairing here (or the general discussion thread, if you prefer). Don't get too wild about it.

I wonder if it is possible for those who post the clips to start posting them in this pairing specific thread. Sorry if I appear to be being akward - I am really only interested in the Kish storyline and found myself reading through loads of discussion about other characters & storylines of which I know nothing about. To comment on the "age" discussion - I have to agree with tihkon here. I didn't come out till I was 24 and even today it's still not a topic I discuss with my parents. With regards to Fish already having been in a relationship and just to "get over himself" - well, in reality, all we know about his previous relationship with Kyle is what Kyle has said. For all we know they could have been roomies with Kyle having a mad crush on Fish - possibly a drunken night of sex ensued which then led to Fish running a mile (we have no idea how comfortable Fish was back then with his feelings for Kyle). I'm not saying this is what happened - only at the moment we really don't know what the dynamics of their previous history were - Kyle may still be looking through rose tinted spectacles.

In the last episode Fish started to tell Layla about a person with who he was seriously involved in college and I guess he was talking about Kyle, so I think this conferms Kyle's version of the facts

Okay - I haven't seen those epis yet. ETA - watched them now Great episode. Jeez, I totally laughed out loud everytime someone said Mr & Mrs Fish ;D Oliver sitting on the sofa in his policeman's uniform with a glass of wine in his hand - while the subtext is about him not being gay mwahaha For me the most telling line of dialogue today was when Oliver was in the bedroom with Layla and he said "Everything is as it should be" It would appear he has been brought up by parents who have set clear goals & achievements for their son. Oliver has been so indoctrinated with the need to be the son his parents want, his ability to be who he is or even acknowledge his individuality as a person outwith the confines of his parents ideals is difficult. Loving this story.
