yeah just wondering about his 'sparkling' eyes - are they or are they not blue? it's really bugging me because i can't trust my own eyes to decide... not that it matters... Jo's (Olli's) eyes are green or hazel depending on the lighting and camera angles. Thore (Christian) has deep blue eyes, but most of the time you'd never know it because the lighting and camera angle, combined with his facial structure, obscures the color. It really is too bad, because he has the total package, and they don't often light him well enough, or get the angle right, to show it off and really use it. Edited to correct grammar and spelling. Sometimes you'd never know I am a native 'English' speaker!!!

ta - yeah the lighting is a bit shoddy when it comes to making the actors look their best.. all of them look a bit washed out at times as well... compared to properly lit photoshoots... but then i guess a picture can be enhanced... cheers for the reply

You said "shoddy" God I miss English slang here in Canada (Alberta anyways) saying shoddy means you call the front seat in the car like: "I call shotgun" becomes "I call shoddy" Jo's eyes are a beautiful shade of green and Thore has eyes just like Aaron Ashmore very deep shade of blue

CJ, that's interesting! In the American South, shoddy is still just, ya know, shoddy. I love words. They are so cool. Anyway, to stay on topic, I thought the change to the website was much ado about nothing, basically, though I am very happy about the streaming episodes. Now I can watch the entire thing and have no idea what anyone is saying! Hooray! (That is not sarcasm, by the way. I'm obsessed enough with the show to watch almost everything without having a clue what the dialogue is about. Well, except the Maria stuff which I find so boring I can't stand it. Oy.) ETA: Oh, wait, I thought I was in the General Discussion thread, so I'm still off topic! Um, let's get back on topic -- yowza hot bedroom scene, and loved the interaction between the brothers. I had so little to say about this episode, I think, because I loved all of the Christian and Olli related stuff entirely.

Rhi: Funnily enough I got this guy at work using the word shoddy and he's German so it sounds so cool when he says it. Fantastic bedroom scene, gorgeous men with gorgeous eyes and an appology

i can imagine it sounds really sexy. i think we're in the minority though, i remember pulling a questionable german bloke a couple of years back and then telling my girlfriends how adorable his accent was and how that was one of the deciding factors... they all creased up and couldn't believe i thought that a german accent (speaking english) was the sexiest there is. sorry to all the germans out there, i disagree ENTIRELY... but it's a view i've come across a number of times in my small little corner of the world...! on topic: hmmmm... i love it how believable thore scholermann is as a little brother to andreas jancke..! they have chemistry almost as good as christian and olli... and i love how christian hugged gregor in almost the exact same way he hugged olli later in the episode but the distinction was enormous between lover and brother... that's damn good subtle acting for a soap star!!

Johnny: I prefer British and Aussie accents because that is what I grew up with (Canadian accents have a habit of kinda making me crazy with certain words and since it is really a bland accent I can't date anyone Canadian, yes that's right I live her and I don't date Canadians, no offense to anyone from Canada, I just like my people to have a cute accent). It wasn't sexy the way he said it was just cool because there is a different emphasis on different letters. Although if Christian and Olli were to talk to me or for that matter Jo and Thore I'd think it was sexy Also I agree about Thore/Aj Thore/Jo thing.

see i love german accents, and dutch or scandinavian accents, i love the lilting way they speak english - slightly unnatural.. but gorgeous. my bf is south african and i love his accent too, and afrikaans is meant to have its root in dutch isn't it? british and australian i can give or take... especially british... love my family to bits but a brummie accent is one of the worst in the world... my favourite? i especially love the kind of german accent that you hear when you go deep into the german countryside... sorry, totally off topic - hmmm what else did i like about that episode? the setting and the way thore scholermann visibly giggled when andreas/gregor jumped off his chair at the campfire, but christian was meant to be all serious and disapproving!!

Just so we all agree on 'shoddy', here in the northern states we Yankees use it to mean of poor workmanship or craft. So the "shoddy lighting" would be about the craftspersons setting up and operating the lighting... Still, this episode was one of the better lit and shot ones. You did get to see the color of Christian's eyes a couple of times, and Gregor's and Olli's were visible most of the time. They compensated for the outdoor lighting very well, we even got to see Christian's eyes some at the lake.
