Well, I've grown to dislike the character, writing and direction of Sinead, I wonder how she'll exit the soap. Will she leave with the baby or will Ste have custody and put it in a closet like JP's child? ?

Wow, that's very abrupt. I'm surprised Sinead is leaving so quickly. I doubt they'll do much to wrap things up for her. But I also am not terribly sad that the character is leaving.
Best of luck to the actress, though.

I think Stephanie Davis is a great performer and I will really miss her. Sinead is not the most attractive character, but she was a great contribution to the cast. I don't know British culture that well, but she seemed an exemplar "Scally" haha.

Yeah, I guess we're supposed to assume that it got taken care of offscreen. Not that they'll get anywhere close to marrying, but still.

Ugh hated the Ste and Harry stuff from today's Firstlook ep, even though I really like them. The writers made Harry so likable over the past week, then ruined him. Ste's "you're a dirty skank but I love you" was ridiculous. Only thing redeeming was Scott talking about Sinead's "nether regions" lol. Nothing is mentioned about the 4 characters or John Paul in spoilers for next week, so that might be it for a while. Might have even been Sinead's last episode. . .

From what I understand in the UK you can't divorce until a year after you've been married. So Ste and JP are still married. They wouldn't be able to end it until Christmas time.

is this going to happen on Monday's episode? I can't wait to see the storyline progress. I'm loving Ste and Harry so far.

Is Ste and Harry on next week (Week of October 5th)? I hope they are. I just looked at the spoilers and there are no spoilers for them. Thanks in advance to who ever responds.

I doubt they will be on. Usually when they appear they are in the spoilers, but I suppose sometimes characters appear anyway despite not appearing in the spoilers.

I'm not sure how I feel about John Paul proposing to Ste. My first thought was that he's a glutton for punishment.

Meh. I'm not thrilled with the idea of JP being with either of them. At the moment I'd just like JP to have a story of his own for a while, outside of any relationships. Apparently ibtimes couldn't bother to figure out Scott's correct last name.

I’m not really surprised about Ste’s new story - but reading Kieron’s interview, I’m more disappointed and disturbed than anything else.
Crystal meth is a serious issue. It destroys lives. Hollyoaks isn’t something that I trust to tackle this. At most we’re probably going to see Ste on yet another trip to hospital, Kieron will look thin and the makeup people will make him look sickly. I feel like if we were going to go down this well yet again, then the only way to cover fresh ground would be something that I wouldn’t want to see, but would fit the story, like Ste dying, or Ste infecting Harry with HIV, or Ste infecting someone else with HIV. Crystal meth + HIV is a lethal weapon because it means you forget any inhibitions, including the basic reality of honesty or safe sex. And Kieron’s interview doesn’t even mention the HIV aspect.
I’m disturbed that the interview frames this as just another way to bring Ste down to the ground. This isn’t how such a serious subject should be treated. It shouldn’t be casually displayed as misery porn.
I’m also disturbed that the interview basically says this time it’s Cameron’s fault, not Ste’s fault. Sorry, but no. Cameron doesn’t get Ste hooked on crystal meth against his will. Cameron offers, and Ste, who is not only extremely wary of Cameron, but also spent years dealing and connected to the streets, takes him up on his offer. Ste gets himself hooked on crystal meth.
What kind of a message does this story send if it’s framed as big bad Cameron getting poor Ste hooked on drugs? Shouldn’t this story be about the huge ever-present danger that crystal meth can be to a self-destructive person like Ste, instead of being about the latest panto scheme of a panto baddie, or the latest attempt to infantilize Ste and remind us what a victim he is?
I’m just really, really annoyed at this. It’s dangerous. Truly dangerous.
