Thank you so much final81 for uploading all the Kyle & Fish moments in one clip and Mark for posting all the links to the youtube videos. I can't wait for the next developments of this storyline. The premises are really intriguing. I didn't know that Chris Evans had such an hot brother

Thank you final81 for the Kyle & Fish part 1 clip. I really liked the chemistry between the characters. They're quite different but I think they blend together just fine. This story has great potential and I'm waiting eagerly for more.

Why not just double click on it and you can see it on Youtube instead? Because there's nothing there but a blank screen so I can't double-click anything. You just click on the black screen an voila! A new window pops up that takes you to Youtube so you can watch it there. You're welcome

Character's profile for Kyle and Fish
From ABC
Kyle
Blackmail, illegal activities, lying. None of these are below Kyle Lewis, assuming he'll get something out of it. There's a heart in there somewhere, though. Somewhere.
Fish
A lack of self-esteem translates into an awkward presentation for Oliver Fish. Despite being a geek at heart, he's a firm believer in the law and an overall good guy.
Soap.net
Kyle is one of the lab technicians and does all the important DNA testing -- which, in Llanview, happens quite often. Working his way through med school, he has is not afraid to turn to blackmail to help make ends meet. Though initially he comes off as a bit nefarious, Kyle has unresolved issues from his days as a KAD frat boy with Oliver Fish. He might just turn out to be an OK guy after all. Maybe.
Oliver Fish is always committed to doing what's right, but struggles with low self-esteem. He's a former KAD frat boy (but several years after Todd matriculated through Llanview University and infamously linked the KAD fraternity to Marty Saybrooke's attack). He's extremely loyal to John McBain and his fellow cops. A stand up guy for sure, if only he could find someone to love. But he'll have to let down his guard first.

Some spoilers for week of June 22nd:
Rex made love to Stacy but began to remember some things that she said the night she drugged him. Gig took Schuyler's advice and told Natalie and Jared the truth. They agreed to drop the charges against Kyle but insisted that Gigi come clean with Rex. Realizing that Kyle is blackmailing Roxy, Natalie and Jared told her to reveal the identity of Shane's bone marrow donor. Marty was desperate to keep Cole out of jail and asked John to help them disappear. Shaun's brother Greg, a surgeon estranged from his family, said that he's confident he can get Matthew to walk again. Todd infuriated Starr when he consented to her marriage to Cole, but had his own agenda, and she challenged her father to prove his love for her. Coming: Rex and Gigi share an emotional encounter.

Now that I've watched just a couple of episodes, I have to say that I'm liking this show a lot more than Young and the Restless. The things that draw me to it are probably invisible to long-time soap fans:
1) It makes the relationships and storylines clear to newcomers rapidly, even if you come in mid-story. I started Y&R when Kevin and Amber were in the middle of a major storyline, and yet it took two weeks for me to figure out that they weren't a couple. I still don't understand all this Katherine-Jill and Chancellor babyswapping, DNA-testing stuff, after watching the storylines for over a month. After two days, I feel like I understand the relationships on OLTL quite clearly (at least, the ones relevant to the current stories. Obviously, the big family dynasties can only be understood over time on any soap.)
2) Plot pacing. I know long-time fans seem to relish the glacial pace at which Y&R moves, but it's quite off-putting to me and, to judge from comments of other people I've seen drawn in by the promise of gay-inclusive storylines, to many people who aren't traditionally daytime-watchers. I think it's one of the few things ATWT is right about in trying to attract new viewers, even though I know it's one that long-time viewers don't like. With OLTL, I feel like I saw more development on the stories in two days than I saw in the entire first week I watched Y&R. I guess I'll see of that holds up in the long term, but it's a promising start.
I realize you can't judge a soap on its whole by watching two random days, but it says something that after those two days, even though they didn't feature even a walk-on by the characters I came in to see, it's probably going to be the first one I watch when I hit the DVR tomorrow.

I couldn't agree more with everything you said, davedoty. I was trying to watch Y&R when it was aired here in Norway, and I just gave up.. I don't know, it just didn't appeal to me. I also agree that it's hard to begin to watch in the middle of a storyline, and the slow pace is a problem, well, I find it annoying. OLTL on the other hand, much more appealing! It drew me in instantly. I really like the pace, not to slow nor too fast. I like the way the characters are portrayed, and I like the fact that it's an easy show to get into, like I watched just one episode, but I still managed to figure out most of what was going on, and I like that. I like the fact you can watch one or two episodes and figure out the main plots. This show is good, and I will definitely keep watching, even the days without Fish and Kyle, cause I think the show is really good! Thanks for the spoilers, dkp. Seems interesting, and I can't wait until the Kyle/Fish storyline starts airing, even though it's not until another six weeks. LOL Thanks for the characters profile, final81. It's great for those just getting into the show to have background info on the characters One more thing.. we should start naming the couple.. anyone have any ideas? Like Fyle? Or shall we go by their first names? Like Olkyle or Kylo? LOL. My ideas always suck when it comes to naming couples.. Anyone have any better ideas?

I was thinking of Oyle ... you know, the kind they could rub onto each other's hot naked bodies before ... oops, I got a little carried away there. ;D

Oyle seems a little too... graphic for me. I'm still partial to Kish (or Kysh, as I've seen other people type it now... great minds, and all that!), but if I had to suggest an alternate, I quite liked Kyliver, which I saw suggested somewhere. Of course, it's not like it has to be designated by committee. Everyone can use the phrase they like, we'll all know what we mean, and over time, one will probably win out. After all, the Nuke/Loah question seems to have settled itself organically over time. And Ollian/Chrollie.

You welcome. I have to say, after watching Final81's "Kyle and Fish Part 1" a dozen times, I just love the way Kyle says "Oliver". Silly I know. LOL

Now that I've caught up on the Fish clips, I've got a few thoughts:
1) If I've got this right, Layla had no interest in Fish, but strung him along out of a mixture of amusement and desire for ego-stroking, then got pissy when he moved on? And yet Stacey's the bad one, for having a one-night stand and then setting him straight immediately when he read too much into it? Okay, then.
2) Fish could still be gay, pretty easily. It's pretty common trick for closeted folks to pursue a woman who they know, consciously or unconsciously, isn't really gettable, thus creating an impression of pursuing a woman with no danger of actually having to get her.
3) If they had to do a digital converter PSA, at least they made clear that Layla and Chris were idiots for needing it explained to them. Forced-on-the-writers story point, probably?
