I wonder how today's episode is going to be received by AE?

Ah, I noticed I didn't even comment on today's episode yet... Beautiful one imo! That last scene between Kieron and JP? Hearbreaking! Great acting by Jake and James. John Paul crying almost made my heart break.. Kieron was so right about JP trying to score cheap points with his sister; he really should have been stronger than that. But Kieron is messing JP around as long as he is trying to have both. He must make a decision... Again: I loved today's scenes...

"But Kieron is messing JP around as long as he is trying to have both. He must make a decision" Exactly! I totally agree with Niall in this case. You can't go around complaining John Paul ratted you out when you're the one breaking your vows. Hi, by the way! I'm a new member but I've been lurking around for a while.

Hi Gigi! Welcome! Beautiful one imo! That last scene between Kieron and JP? Hearbreaking! Great acting by Jake and James. John Paul crying almost made my heart break.. I was like, duuuuuuuuuude, stop it. You're hurting me. hm, yeah, that too. However, I think JP manages to sabotage all of his relationships somehow. Not that he means to, that is. But the result is the same. What JP says about his sister is true, though, but he would have kept his mouth shut if he were a little bit mature. It was obvious what Mercedes was doing and yet he took the bait and blurt it all out. Meh. I just hope Michaela doesn't write the article about JP/K. It can only end up in tears for all the ppl involved.

What JP says about his sister is true, though, but he would have kept his mouth shut if he were a little bit mature. I know there are people that age who are really mature, but sometimes I have my doubts when it concerns JP. I love JPK and Kieron is amazing, but sometimes I do think it would be better for JP if he just lived his life like most guys his age: dating, studying, having fun. Nothing really serious like two very serious relationships in which in fact he is a 'dirty little secret'. But hey, it's a soap and everything easy is boring... ;D

Don't get me wrong, I love JP, but it's not like he didn't know what he was getting himself into. I mean, first Craig who up until then, was straight, then Kieron, a priest. If you go down a certain path, you must be fully prapared for all the consequences. So far, the only relationship in which JP wasn't a dirty little secret was the one with Spike and look how that turned out! Then again, it's not like one can control who one falls in love with. Hm Woot, I'm a Junior member now! *beams*

I continue to not like Michaela. I don't hate her like I do Nancy, but like Sarah and Amy, I will not ever like her. And why is she trying to embrace Madonna's Desperately Seeking Susan look? Anyhoo, Jake and James did a fabulous job in showing the heartbreak both Kieron and John Paul were feeling over JP's revelation to Mercedes. I know they'll patch things up but watching JP's anguished tears and Kieron almost in tears was tough. Those men are in love with each other. There is no doubt about it.

Ahhh, Michaela... A flailing icon... how cute! What did Michaela do now? Gah, she irritates me so much. What is going on with the JP & K?

She was just her irritating self... First she was stalking JP trying to get him to talk about Kieron, then she stalked Kieron (after interrupting an awkward moment between Kieron and JP - who just run into each other) and convinced him to let him take her on his hospital round and she tries to talk about Kieron, the church and how they stand on homosexuality. (Kieron differs from the Church upon that btw. He feels sex isn't just for reproduction; it should also be seen as celebrating love. Meaning it wouldn't only be for heterosexual couples ) Then she sees/hears Kris and Kieron talking, but somehow she thinks there's something going on between them (She sees Kris almost putting his head on Kieron's shoulder, but that really is more of a Kris-move. ) She runs off to tell JP (who is just talking to Hannah about his love trouble, although still not telling who his lover is), but JP gets angry with her for interrupting again and accuses her of being selfish. She takes off angrily and then we see her in bed, writing her article about Kieron, JP and Kris.

Re ading that reminds me of why I found it nearly impossible to feel sympathy for her during the whole heroin drama. ETA: I watched it and Michaela suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Even when she says it's doing something good for JP, it's still all about her. People call Mercedes selfish but she hasn't a patch on Michaela. Poor Kieron and JP. Both are messes but being in love will do that to a person. Shallow note: how hot did Jake look in the scenes with Kieron talking to Kris?

Why oh why? do you think she's gonna do it for real? Maybe she just wrote it and she'll never give it to the press? Gah! Wishful thinking, I know. This is definately going to end badly. Kris was so cute, btw. Question: Kieron says that his confiding in Kris is different from JP's blurting all out to Mercedes. But how? I mean, in both cases the truth is out there and while, yes, Kris can be trusted and Merdeces obviously can't, I still can't see such a big difference. Isn't it a bit hypocritical of Kieron? I mean, if Kieron tells someone about his secret relationship, that's ok, but if JP does that, it's not. Hm. Ok, we all know why JP did what he did (stupid move! Mind you I'm not defending him), and yes, there's so much at stake for Kieron, but I just don't get the double standard. You see I have a problem with that. I tend to like couples who're equals in the relationship and there's just something that doesn't quite compute now. K probably feels betrayed, but...arg, the double standard! BTW, I still like JP/K!

Kieron and Kris are friends. Kieron told Kris about his relationship/feelings for JP in confidence because he needed an outlet, someone that he could talk to about the conflicting feelings he had about JP and being a priest in love. And remember, he told Kris right after he and JP had sex that first time so Kieron was all kinds of messed up in that moment. When JP told Mercedes, he did it to shut her up. JP is also friends with Kris (which I never thought would happen) and Kris has been a good friend to both men in offering advice and being non-judgemental about the whole thing. I guess for me is the difference was in the motivations of why Kieron and JP told others.

Michaela continues to be a selfish, irritating cow. John Paul is waaaaaay too nice to her. I also continue to be appalled by her fashion sense. What the hell is she wearing? Anyhoo, I am so so SO glad that John Paul told her off. She needed to hear that but he was still nice about it considering how self-centered she is in general. Mercedes is a beautiful woman... so what is going on with her hair? It reminds me of the hair Gary Oldman sported when he was playing Dracula. Kieron's "you mean everything to me"... WOW! That was breathtaking. Jake H has this way of speaking that is so seductive and it really showed in the delivery of that line.

Michaela's selfish and she's a brat but I did feel sorry for her during some of JP's fit. He had a right to be angry with her, but if everyone finds out he's with Kieron, that's on him and on Kieron, not on Michaela. Then he makes her feel bad for selling the story when he supported her after her overdose, but he really wasn't all that much more supportive than the rest of the family. None of them believed her when she said she was injected by someone else. She moved out because she lost faith in all of them.
The McQueens are a fascinating family because they're all selfish by nature, and the story comes from seeing those who are supposed to be "good" (Carmel, John Paul, Tina) struggling with their darker sides, while those who are supposed to be "bad" (Mercedes, Michaela, Jacqui) struggle with trying to improve their lives. They all backslide and switch places and bump up against each other. Then there's Niall, who is a category all his own. A category with nice legs...

JP was a little more supportive than the rest of the family with Michaela's overdose. Not much more, but more. He tried to get her to come home and to talk to her even though he didn't truly believe that she didn't do it. Thing is, Michaela had been lying so much right before then about doing drugs and skipping school that I couldn't blame them for not believing her. I do agree with you that if/when people find out about JP and Kieron, it is on them and not Michaela but I still think JP was right to tell her off because Michaela often doesn't think about consequences and resorts to devious, childish and often hurtful things when she doesn't get her way. I agree about Niall's legs in the boxer briefs.

I thought that was wonderful and I also knew why Kieron was laughing about the situation. Here was JP, going on and on about his sister's actions, yet that's nothing compared to what Kieron feels about him. Kieron knows that the troubles of Chela and Cedes are NOTHING to what's going to happen for him, once everything is revealed and he's willing to face that because: He's in love with John-Paul. He's stopped denying it. The love for JP makes him feel good and that's a great thing. Awwwwwwwww.... That was an amazingly sweet scene! 'You mean everything to me!'*Melts away*
