I like Thore and he's a good looking guy but that photo had me screaming "VELVEETA". Judging by his expression, I'd say poor Thore is screaming "VELVEETA!" on the inside! ;D Maybe in addition to not being able to refuse whatever the writers put in the scripts, his contract forces him to submit to someone posing him for publicity photos....

Sorry guys, can someone kindly explain to me what "VELVEETA" means? It's missing in the dictionary (of course)! Possibly you can PM me if it's something you can't say publicly. ;D Thanks in advance.

Velveeta is a processed cheese.... it's very popular, or was, in America.... people use it in stuff like macaroni and cheese... so basically, they are implying that he is saying "cheese" (which Americans say when taking photos) but that it's fake... unless I've completely misunderstood and velveeta has a second, dirty meaning.
ETA: Apparently velveeta is not only an American phenomenon, as the person who first said it is a Canadian :-)

And that photo of Thore we're talking about? Total Velveeta, now with 2x the cheese flavor.

Thanks Lala for your comprehensive explanation! I'd better not to think about your strange American recipes with pasta... ;D BTW, in Italy too we say "cheese" when being shot a picture. I still can't understand why you don't consider Canada as part of America...

Yes, it's fake. It is only cheese in the loosest, most relative sense. (Technically, it is some sort of cheese or cheese product, I suppose.) I refuse to eat the stuff. One really should use real cheese when cooking.

I still can't understand why you don't consider Canada as part of America... Because it usually means the USA when peeps say America even though we all know Canada is part of North America. Looking at the photo of Thore again, maybe I should have said "Cheese Wiz" ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheez_Whiz). Here is also Velveeta: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velveeta

When we mean someone is 'fake', we say: two-faced or phony or 'he's a fake, she's a fake'. Also, in the South, at least, those in the know use real cheese. Geoff

Let's hope Thore isn't subjected to taking more photos like that one.

*sigh* Another picture of Thore that takes my mind to the gutter! Seriously, Thore has a natural hotness about him - but every once in a while he needs to make better choices for photo shoots ;-)! (This from a series of worst record covers of all time.) www.sueddeutsche.de/kultur/bildstrecke/875/21854/p0/

Someone should have let Thore walk away from that shot. Or burned the film.

He has? Is it written down anywhere or is it one of those youtube comment type of rumors?
But I do agree, I think it's really cool that the VL cast hangs out with each other (like the pictures of Jo, Thore together with "Olivia" and "Sebastian" having their work lunch by setting a fire next to the parking plots and barbecuing; or Jo, Thore, "Lydia" and "Sebastian" being seen at an amusement part together with a group of non-famous friends of theirs).

Are there any plans to interview Thore like you guys did Jo for the Blog? I'd really like some sort of question answer thing with him and others on the show. If possible, of course.

I always wondered whether gaytime contacted Jo or the other way around. But I'm sure if it was possible gaytime would have done it already I also noticed that there was a statement by Jo about the AE 100, but not by Thore. Though it should be noted that Jo has an official website and Thore has just a fansite maintained by fans.

Hey, Forthe, your sureness about other people's lives is just...amazing, I would say! Before writing alleged "truths", it's better to think about that not twice, but also three times. Jo once talked about a "partner" during an interview, without specifying whether it was a woman or a man. If he did so, there must be a reason, so as I'm one of his biggest fans I would like to respect his choice, and so should everybody else. The same as for Thore, of course. We are here to talk about our favourite actors, but there are always boundaries beyond which our comments may get annoying to them. I'd be happy if we could prevent it from happening. Thanks.
