I don't watch the show, but saw discussions about the other actor's exit. This should put to rest doubts about his reason for leaving. I like Nelsan Ellis's candor; it's refreshing.

I like Nelsan Ellis's candor; it's refreshing.I hope so to, because the whole situation was ridiculous for the cast and crew to have to face. Especially after all these seasons. What show did the guy think he was on? As for NE's candor, he's been the guy, who's been on the show since the first episode. He refers to the cast and crew as family. Folks that have gone through changes in their professional and personal lives that have been shared by others involved with the series. That was more important than trying to "save face" and not be honest about that guy's issues. You can even see that Nathan Parson has more sense about the things he says in print about the character's motivations and draw towards Lafayette and Jessica and he's only had about six months of being involved in the show, during its last season.

Whelp....that series finale was uneventful (unless you wanted to end up married with multiple children).
The show turned into a mishmash of awfulness. I hope the actors saved up their money and learned to invest wisely, because the end of this series was absymal.

Another unsurprising cancelation given the leadership of HBO's new parent company. It's a pity, as I was curious to see what they would do with the reboot, particularly gay representation in the face of competition from the successful Interview with the Vampire adaptation where queer male vampires are front and centre - I guess now we'll never know.
