And also I feel the sudden levek up in the Kevin and Scotty's relationship look a little disjointed and sudden. I would have like to see more courtship. well in the previous episode it did say "3 months later", so basically this episode number 14 is actually 3 months from episode number 12. we know that the episode for DP is supposed to air on May 11th but i just check B&S website and that episode suppose to be episode number 15. now is that mean that there would be no B&S next week (May 4th) ? anyone in the US maybe can help me?

I love the Kevin and Scotty storyline! They've been my favorite tv couple since the first time I saw them together. They've just got an amazing chemistry! I can't wait until the season finale Oh, and I'm totally on Team Scotty! (not that there is any need for teams, cause Luke MacFarlane aka Scotty will be sticking around for a while).

39 "Prior Commitments" Unknown Unknown May 11, 2008[2] 216 Kevin and Scotty make a commitment to be life partners, Saul finally deals with his identity in a public way, and the family discovers that William kept yet another painful secret from his family.

You know, during the preview clip for next week, there's like a 1.5 second flash of Kevin in his office having what looks like a heart attack. That or a major emo moment.

Hmmmm...
Doesn't Scotty drive a 70's Ford Ranchero? A vehicle that probably has a larger carbon footprint than Air Force One?
Maybe that's why he's so eco-friendly. It's deferred guilt over the damage he does to the world every time her turns that thing on. At least Kevin is rich enough to afford to be environmentally friendly. Now the deflected guilt is making Kevin neurotic.
Then there's the "it's lunch, not my Bar Mitzvah" remark.
Oh, he's good this one is. They're not even married yet and he's already giving Kevin neuroses that only a Jewish wife or mother could ever manage.

I just have to remind everyone that this scene is one of only TWO scenes with them this Sunday! In the other scene Kevin proposes!

Don't be surprised. Seemingly shallow gay corporate sharks have surprising depths. Trust me, I know. It really was a great proposal. Kevin's prior uncertainty was erased by all the issues his family has, and he was privy to this episode. In particular, Saul not coming to terms with being gay until he's in his 60's must have really driven home to Kevin how it was possible to have your whole life just pass you by. The scene with Saul and the proposal scene were really well done. Especially Kevin going down on one knee to propose and the look the Scotty had. This was what the Southern Belle in him always dreamed of.

New preview:
It's so typically Kevin to just blurt out everything!

i think the only thing that could have made the proposal scene better was if scotty had cried. I know this makes me a total girl or sissy or whatever but if the guy i was in love with got down on one knee in front of me to ask the question I would have lost it.... I mean i got all misty eyed just watching the clip

Well, he did get all misty eyed, but kept the waterworks in check ;D I guess he never had dreamt he would hear something like that from Kevin, not after the proposal over the bill incident

Thanks for posting that clip!! Hehe. I wonder if Scotty's parents will be showing up? Coz Scotty's father is gonna be a regular guest-star next season and his mom will be making her appearances too. But I want my short-hair Scotty bad. He looks cuter that way!! Not that he is not cute now. Hehehe. I still like my man to have short hair.

I agree about the short hair.
Scotty's parents will make an appearance in the episode, I have heard that much.
I have watched that proposal scene a few times now. Luke is wonderful, as he has always been in this role (even when Scotty was so poorly written in the beginning). Matthew Rhys, I just can't say enough good things about him. What I love the most is he isn't one of those straight actors who thinks it's a big deal or some sacrifice to kiss another man. He seems so natural...none of that "straight man fear of catching the queer" you see with many straight actors.
My favorite kiss between them will always be when a drunken Kevin apologizes to Scotty for offering to pay him to go to a banquet.

Not because of his "flamboyant" ways but something interesting about him strikes me. And of course, him being such a sweetie and cutie just make me adore him more. I like him also because he is dignified. He knows he is not financially capable but he will make sure that he is independent. A man of backbone and dignity. And yes, Kevin is a really cute 30-something gay man. He's witty and funny. I love the sad puppy-eyed look he gave when he was drunk and apologizing to Scotty at the same time. If I'm not wrong he said something that "Can you please forgive me so that I can stop getting drunk". That was so sweet. And I adore the conversations both of them had. It's funny and quite light-hearted at the same time. This is the ideal relationship for me if I will ever be in one. And the chemistry between Kevin and Scotty is amazing. You don't find any awkward moments with them together. Whereas, with Jason and Kevin, you can feel something is missing. And also Eric Winter (this man is HOT HOT HOT!!) doesn't look convincing as a gay. He's too straight-looking to be gay. Hehehe.

I didn't have anything against Jason, I just think that Kevin and Scotty have more chemistry.. Jason was too "balanced" for me.. I actually thought he was kinda boring.. But with Kevin and Scotty it's different.. They fight and make up, but you can still see that they really care for and love each other! And not to mention Scotty, he's the most amazing character ever written.. He's just amazing!
