I loved them all, Jason, Chad, Scotty, the military one night stand haha.
However, I think that my favorite is probably Scotty because he cares so much for Kevin and Kevin cares so much for him as well. Ehh Chad? I'm not sure about him things were a little akward between them. And Jason? I think that Kevin really only wanted Robert McCallister and not Jason. I kid I Kid! But between them, I didn't really think it would work out.
Yes, there's a reference earlyish in Season 1 that refers to Kevin dating a flying monkey. I think he was an actor in Wicked. He also had a picture of him and an ex in his office that Scotty sees when they first meet. Not sure if that's the monkey or not.
Let us be lovely And let us be kind Let us be silly and free It won't make us famous It won't make us rich But damnit how happy we'll be! (Edward Monkton channels my brain!)
Scotty has slowly grown on me, but i'll always want kevin to be with jason! even though it was a bit too complicated with him and his flock and stuff i always though they were perfect. Chad was just hot sex and something pretty to look at.
Jason I've seen a lot of guys say that about Jason and I find it so strange. It was just the least developed relationship Kevin had. Other than the actor who played Jason being attractive what was it about their relationship that you liked? I just feel like we never really saw them be a couple. We barely saw Jason at all and most of the time he just seemed really dismissive of Kevin and detached. The only time I actually thought he cared about Kevin at all was at the dinner with Scotty when he came back. Otherwise the relationship happened completely off screen.
Chad Chad for all his faults I feel he was genuinely confused and had real feelings for Kevin (he just wasn't ready to be anybody's boyfriend). Chad could have dated any number of boys who would have kept it on the downlow without questions so I think he must have really wanted to be with Kevin. Chad was romantic and sexy just kind of a big giant closeted mess.
Scotty is wonderful. I'm definitely biased. He's strong and loyal and honest and not afraid to be silly but also a hard worker with a solid foundation. They don't really write them as being as sexy adn flirty with each other as they did before they got married (which I hate) but I don't think that's about Scotty, it's about the writers being overly cautious. Scotty has a relationship with his local gay community, is family oriented and is not a push-over when it comes to the Walkers.
I agree about Jason. We barely saw them together and what we did see, I didn't care for the writing. Kevin as the guy who messes up, with Jason to save him. Too much of that season was about Kevin being stupid or self-destructive. I think they had him that way because Baitz or someone saw Jason as the one to make Kevin whole, but Kevin needed to do that himself. And why did they cast an actor they knew had a pilot that was likely to be picked up?
