Hi. I'm still alive. Life has been busy for the last while. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, Amber. But I'm glad she's doing well. By the way, I'm presently watching an episode of Merlin (first season) on DVD. I picked up the set last week when it came out. I blame the Merlin fans here. But I'm rather enjoying it.

Hi, I want to rant and rave for a few minutes about the shows I am watching at the moment. You don’t have to read this, but I needed to get this off my chest.
I want to start with Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love) – I think this is one the most beautiful love stories ever. It shows you what true love is all about. It shows you how you can fall in love with someone, no matter what sex they are.
I don’t think Christian and Ollie fell in love because they were men, I believe they fell in love with who the person was. I know Ollie’s bi, but he loves Christian for the person he is and visa versa. They love each other through the good time, bad time and in between.
Next is Alles Was Zaehlt (Roman and Deniz) – This is an interesting show to watch. You have an experienced gay man (Roman) who falls in love with an 18 year old (Deniz), who doesn’t know if he’s bi, gay or straight. They have a relationship, until the Deniz falls in love with a girl. That doesn’t work out, so he goes to other woman, becomes a call-man (whatever you call them), then comes back with a girlfriend, who falls in love with someone else. Then he falls back in love with Roman. This story is confusing is so many levels.
As The World Turns (Luke and Noah) – Could not continue to watch. Never caught my interest no matter how much I watched.
One Life To Live (Oliver and Kyle) – Caught my interest even before they fell in love. It’s a shame that it didn’t last. It shows you love will not die.
EastEnders – I really like this show (Syde and Christian). It shows you how some cultures react to gays. It proves that even though you have to do what your culture requests of you, the love you have for someone else will win out in the end, it’s just going to take some time.
Emmerdale – I like watching Aaron. It shows you what can happens when a teenager is scarred of how people will react to his sexuality and how this sexuality scars him, even to the point of killing themselves. I can’t wait to watch more.
There are more, but these are the main once that caught my attention. Please give me your comments on what you think about my ravings.

Hi everyone. Long time no...post? Thanks for all your lovely messages of support. It's been a busy and difficult couple of months, mainly trying to support my grandad. Taking one day at a time. Some good things have happened recently though. I've been offered a contract to be a scary Examiner Also a friend and I stalked bumped into some Merlin crew tidying up after filming in the Forest where I live and they chatted with us for ages and told us lots of things! And here, just because I can, I give you two photos the road on which I live. Not all snowed in though (yay!) Also: Mmmmm...giant French Fancy! *Ahem.* That is all. ;D ETA: I've also passed my First Aid course. Will be attempting CPR on the CT soon...

Been watching The Catherine Tate Show on repeat the past couple of days and the old episodes of Doctor Who, I like the new Doctor though

You should find such a French Fancy and then EAT IT ALL!!!! *ahem* please excuse my enthusiasm. I may have slightly over indulged on cake. And wine.
In other news: My bank statement arrived. This is not something that generally provides me with much enjoyment or entertainment (in fact, is usually greeted with unrepeatable words) but this one actually Amused me!!!
Let me explain. I am a member of the Historical Association but, due to my bank's strange obsession with abbreviating everything, my statement now informs me that I spend £3.49 a month on "His Ass".
I was very much amused ;D

Hi, Okay so I have been watching the book trailers for De Tribute von Panem and there is a song playing in the background and I was wondering if any of you knew what it was called? Here is the video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDhDV5gWuawIf someone could PM the answer if they know it, the song starts around the 0:34 mark. Danke

I hope it isn't terrifically inappropriate to inquire of all of you here (and I see this thread is not very busy nowadays), but it occurs to me that a recommendation from a fellow C&O addict might be just the thing. So therefore: Our company is looking for a top-notch, high-powered, very motivated IBM iSeries / RPG programmer analyst / application developer -- who wouldn’t absolutely despise the prospect of relocating to Ohio!. Does any more or less likely soul come to mind? If so, please refer to the full job description posted at our website: www.mfcd.org/MFCDad.pdfThanks, gregg

I just had to share this bit of news I just learnt: James Franco is doing an Art Exhibition with an emphasis on Kirk/Spock slash, could this man get any cooler? Not only has he done full frontal nudity, played gay in a few of his projects, is a big supporter of gay rights and is now doing Start Trek slash, and you know he is like freakishly hot, so James Franco I love you

Weird question if one is in New Zealand what shop does one go to when they want to buy books or DVDs? In England I would go to WH Smiths, HMV, Waterstones or Virgin, In Canada I go to Chapters or HMV or Walmart, but where would I go in New Zealand? (I'm going to New Zealand in a couple of months (hopefully, I need to get an all clear on my health first) and I just wanted to know where to go while I'm there ) ETA: Page 400!!!!

In NZ and in AUS you'd go to JB-HiFi or Boarders (Boarders fucking rocks!!!!). In NZ only you'd go to Marbecks, they've been around since the '30s and they know their stuff or Real Groovy, and you'd AVOID at all costs going to The Warehouse (they are shit). In AUS you also have HMV.

*sneaks back in and waves* Yes. I'm still alive. ;D Haven't been here in a long time, but I see I haven't missed much. :S Not really been following all the soaps and shows either btw. A bit of everything, allthough of course I did keep up to date with all the good stuff. Oh, and with Merlin of course. ;D Still a fan. To keep you up to date: I finally decided to quit uni. I was so NOT motivated and was starting to hate it. So I decided to be brave for once in my life and turn everything around. So now - instead of studying law - I'm studying to become a history teacher in secondary school. Really liking it so far, so hopefully it will stay this way. And how are you?

So I am leaving on Sunday for New Zealand and I was going to take Granola Bars with me in my suitcase so I have snacks just in case. Does anyone know if I am allowed to do that?
I've never had any problems flying in and out of Europe doing this, but after reading someone's blog who went to NZ and her saying her case was ransacked I'm a little trepidacious about taking the granola bars with me. I was also taking some Canadian chocolate for a friend of mine who lives in NZ and misses Canadian chocolate.

And yes Canadian choc tastes a lot like American choc I think it's the milk...I also really don't like Alberta Beef (I could get shot for saying that seeing as I live in Alberta).
