I'm a bit disappointed with the new episode. It was very underwhelming. First off: no affection on the date, why? I'm talking about before Eddie walked in on them and Buck got word diarrhea. It would have been nice to see Buck show affection, since up till now we've only seen it from Tommy. It would have been nice to see Buck confirm his feelings with actions and not just words. Adter all: straight couples kiss. We had to watch Eddie and Marisol having sex, yet we couldn't see Buck even reach out a hand at the table with Tommy? Again, before Eddie walked in, obviously. I guess he was nervous, but their date seemed more like two friends even before Eddie walked in. Buck could have reached out his hand even if he was nervous, why not have him say that? Just have buck say "I'm a bit nervous, but this is nice", then reach out his hand. Then he could have pulled it back when Eddie walked in. What was with the word diarrhea anyway, why the need to say women are hot? I get that he just blurted it out without thinking, but it would have been more effective to see him pull back his hand. I'm just disappointed we didn't get to see more affection from them, that's all. But I suspect that's to come later, if they last.
As for the coming out to Eddie and Maddie, the writing wasn't perfect, but it was decent. Their reactions were both in-character. Maddie seemed shocked but supportive, Eddie was taken aback, but he was also supportive. I'm glad they didn't drag Buck's coming out for too long. I hate when shows do this. I realize he hasn't come out to eceryone, like Chimney and Hen, but he came out to the two people he's closest to. I wonder how Hen and Chim will react though, like we know they will be supportive (obviously), but what will they say. Will they be shocked, or not surprised at all? Will be interesting to see.
Last but not least I was hoping the writers would address Buck's attraction to men. Like... did he just realize it after the kiss with Tommy, or has he been into men for a while? They did address it when Buck said he was checking out a hot man's ass, but that it was totally normal. LOL. Typical Buck. I'm a bit confused though, like have Buck not acted on his feelings until now, and if so, why? Was he just that clueless all along? Was a kiss what it took for him to realize he liked it and that he like men too?
