I hope James stays the hell away from HO... if JP returned, it would mean that he and Craig didn't work out, and I would hate that more than anything else. I hope he finds a stable job elsewhere!

I'd be find with John Paul returning. He was my favorite. I loved him and Kris as best buds and I thought they really could have done more with that. We never really got to see JP processing everything that happened with NIALL and Tina and It would be cool if he returned, maybe to help Mercy get a grip. I'll start a campaign for James to definitely come back now. ;D

Is anyone else a bit sad that James has had to resort to returning to Hollyoaks? Putting aside my sadness that they have split JP and Craig for a minute, I had hoped for better for James then to have to come back here, especially with Guy doing well in America. I feel that James is TOO GOOD to be stuck languishing in Hollyoaks forever and I would be saying that whether John Paul had left with Craig or not. I think it's a shame given what a talented actor he is that his career hasn't taken off. He, like John Paul once said, 'deserves more' from his career in my opinion. So anyway, I got thinking of Hollyoaks returns yesterday and the most recent ones I could remember were: - Lee Hunter - Micheala Mcqueen - Warren Fox - Mandy - Cindy - Spike ;D (randomly and rather pointlessly for like 2/3 episodes). Out of all of those I listed, the only one who stuck around long term is Cindy. And until the recent (and crap) Rhys affair storyline, she was nothing but a glorified extra. I guess you could say that Warren's return was a modest success but Jamie Lomas had the good sense not to stick around for the long term. Do you think John Paul could be the one who could buck the trend? James has got the talent to do so but it all depends on whether the writing is good enough. I decided what I'd like is for John Paul to return for a few months or so, preferably as part of a big Mcqueen family storyline because I love the Mcqueen's and JP's interaction with his sisters. Then, once James has proven once again how perfect he is as John Paul, he leaves again, hopefully to move on to bigger and better things. I'd like him to befriend Ste at some point too just because I think they'd be great as friends. What about you guys? Would you like JP/James to stick around long term? The Mcqueen family are dwindling and John Paul could fill the gap left by characters like Mercedes and Theresa. Oh and just wanted to quickly add that I'm not slagging off soap actors by the way. Most of my favourite actors are in soap. I just think it's a shame when they don't get to prove themselves and their talents outside of being just a 'soap actor'.

I, for one don't find it a shame, that James' back at Hollyoaks.
I also do not think that James' career has "stalled", but I hope you find others that agree with you.

Ok, DD so regarding the original question, What do you see James doing at Hollyoaks? Do you think he'll be their long term now? I heard today that Mercedes is still filming at Hollyoaks which is interesting because I thought that James might have been back to try and fill in the gaps she left. One high profile Mcqueen replaces another type of thing.

James Sutton is an actor who has a job. That is in no way stalled. He had a great character arc on Emmerdale and his character there was very popular. Some actors just want to act, they don't really care about being famous or making Hollywood films. I'm excited for his return to Hollyoaks and he should be happy that his work at JP was so good that they want him back and viewers actually remember him. I can't speak for James Sutton but he seemed to leave the show because he wanted to get to play another character. And he did. Some folks play the same role on a soap for 20 years and are perfectly happy doing so. Who knows... I think as long as he's working, his career hasn't stalled.

Why would anyone doubt or question anything about the status of James' career other than him? Yes, we're his fans and most of us just enjoy his work, but I'm not going to ask others if they too are upset or happy about James' choices for his own career. ;D

As for your question Candy:
I, along with everyone else on here and other forums have NO CLUE what's in store for JP/James and their return to HOL.
I'm just pleased that it seems like James and the folks IN charge of the show took the time to figure and plan out whatever it is they've decided to do for his return.
As others have stated for other HOL storylines/characters before, "anything can happen on a soap". ;D

I read on another forum that they had been discussing John Paul's return on the radio and the DJ described his return storyline as being "the most explosive storyline ever" Of course it could all just be hyped up talk since we don't actually know anything yet but it did make me feel a bit more positive. I didn't want more of the same old affairs but this sounds like they have something big lined up for him.

I hope they don't as well, but I'm not going to think it's awful from jump street, because JP should always be with Craig: End Of.

I never liked Craig, so i don't have a problem with they breaking at all. As long as they don't screw Jp as character (and watching the quality of the writting i fear for him) i'll be ok

James Sutton can definitely fill that spot. We just have to be patient and wait things out for a couple of months into 2013. ;D

If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but less magical.
