Or does this belong in Off Topic? The forum says below it "you can talk about anything here"
I'm so glad they opened this tread! I really like commercials!
I know that sounds totally strange, but I am always amazed by how they can make little spots that can be so gripping, funny, informative, whatever in only 60 seconds or less!
A friend of mine works in advertising and would always provide me with a copy of the dvd of commerials from their awards night.....I haven't gotten one recently....this has reminded to check into that!
Thanks again for posting these......and please keep them coming! ;D

That's a dutch commercial. It never aired on tv though, because it was found to controversial. (All the 'Even Apeldoorn bellen' commercials are funny; I posted a few of them earlier in the old Chat thread) And although I don't really think it's that shocking and it really made me laugh, I do think that it didn't fit in with the other earlier commercials. But it got famous anyway because of You Tube, so their money was well spend after all. ;D
It got two complaints in England (compared to the 200 for a Mayo advert with one man giving another a kiss on the cheek) and then the Human Rights Campaign got involved (a US institution even though the advert was never shown in the US). They said is condoned
‘the notion that the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community is a group of second class citizens and that violence against GLBT people is not only acceptable but humorous’.
The advert was banned. When the news came out the BAN was then complained about by both gay and power walking societies who considered the HRC's assumption that the man was gay was insulting and sterotypical. I don't know what you lot make of all that. I'm not sure whether to find it all incredibly amusing or terribly sad.

Young Gay Couple Marries in Beautiful New Clip from Italy: VIDEO
Remember Australia's "It's Time" marriage equality video?
Well, think of this as Italy's version.
A first-of-its-kind video raises the issue of marriage equality in Italy just in time for Valentine's Day. It's called "I'll Marry You" and it's named for a well-known song by Lorenzo 'Jovanotti' Cherubini, who offered the use of it to LGBT rights group Arcigay for this clip, which draws attention to the need for marriage equality in that country. The video took four months to make, according to Italian paper La Republicca and tells the story of a young gay couple who gets married and another lesbian couple who gets engaged at their wedding. The video is sponsored by Arcigay and AGEDO (the Italian version of PFLAG, as well as Bologna Pride).
Commercial from the Swedish mobile carrier Halebop:
One of the comments in the video provides an English translation, which I pasted below:
Guy 1: "Miss you, Theo Ekenborg [name of a guy]" Guy 1: "Who's that?" Guy 2: "It's …" Guy 2: "It's my boyfriend." Guy 2: "We're celebrating our … one year anniversary" Guy 1: "Congrats! One year, that's not easy"
In the end you hear another guy in the background saying "I know who it is. He's damn good looking"
