Be a fantasy casting director! Because American television executives have no imagination, SOAPNET has bought the rights to VERBOTENE LIEBE, ALLES WAS ZAEHLT, HOLLYOAKS and EL COR DE LA CIUTAT (see, I haven't forgotten it completely). Before the rumors start: I just made that up. You have to re-cast our boys (and characters involved in their storylines) with American actors- or actors who speak English good enough. The only catch: Because they're still in their contracts on their shows, you can NOT cast the original actors. Also, feel free to rename the characters for the US market. Fantasize away! I'll start! VERBOTENE LIEBE / 'FORBIDDEN LOVE'Christian Man: Aaron Hill / Oliver 'Ollie' Sable: Shia LaBeouf Aaron is an All-American jock currently starring as 'the Beaver' on ABC Family's GREEK. Shia making out with a guy on screen? Hey, it IS called 'shallow poll' after all. Olivia Snyder: Rachel Bilson Judy Hager (yes, that's Judith): Erica Hubbard Greg Man: James Marsden Charlene 'Charlie' Snyder: Dolly Parton Sam The Eagle- oh, YOU know...

Gaytime, I am so happy you cast a Black actress even though the one you chose, her character drives me nuts on Lincoln Heights. I can see Aaron Hill as Christian but cannot even remotely see Shia as Olli. For me... : Sarah: Bianca LawsonConstantin: ] Robert Adamson

Bonobochick, of course Shia would be a shitty Olli (if only because he's simply too young). But it's a fantasy poll - and a shallow one at that . I'm looking forward to your AWZ re- cast, because I know it will be difficult for you to replace Igor! ;D

I don't know if I could recast AWZ but I will try to think of something if only to alleviate the Weltschmerz brought about by work today. I don't think I could replace Igor.

Let's assume it's a big-screen, big budget blockbuster, OK? JP McQueen: Ryan Gosling (he could pull it off! He's only three years older than James Sutton!) Kevin Hobson, Baptist minister and member of "Families First": Jake Gyllenhaal Myra: Kathy Bates Mercedes: Sarah Michelle Gellar Michaela: Ellen Page Miles (aka Niall): Ryan Philippe (the new, tough one) Kris, New York bartender and crossdresser: Jaime Fox (who will of course receive an Oscar) Craig Dean: Zac Efron (but only very, very briefly for a musical number.)

I love the idea of Myra/Kathy especially if she's like "Misery", and Jaime Fox in Kris, lol !!!!! Nothing else to say... But Mercedes, I prefer :

Si tu peux, essayes d'écrire en anglais sur ce blog, comme ça tout le monde peut en profiter. This thread is for fun, bien dit bonobo (your french is good (almost better than rhodo's), especially for someone who already speak 2 other languages (or more?))

I grew up in a Spanish speaking area and my mother is just about fluent in German. I've been doing so much German recently I need to exercise my French.

So if you learn chinese, you can talk to 90% of the earth (or more)... I'm jalous, I could only speak a good french and a bad english

Jean Smart (57 yrs old) = Auntie Charlie She's smart and sexy with a hard edge and a big heart and I could see her running a restaurant or night club and charming the pants of men young and old.

I know someone has said this before but I think it just has to be reiterated: Oliver = Eddie Cahill Eddie has the looks and the perfect blend of masculine/feminine energy and I could easily see him wooing both men and women.

Well, he's Irish, not American, but I've always been getting Cillian Murphy vibes from Thorsten Grasshoff (Julian on Alles Was Zählt): Thorsten Cillian
