Is it me or Olli seemed a little bit frustrated with Judith? Like he's had enough of her drama?!? Anyway, did you guys notice how many looks he shot Chris? Heeeeee
Maybe I should ask this on the General discussion thread, but it's about this clip, so...When Fabian was on the phone with Lydia, she mentioned Sebastian. Are they back together now?

I got the feeling both Olli and Christian being frustrated with her. But hey, I would be feeling the same thing after all the babbling. And yes, Lydia and Sebastian are back together again.

My impression was that Christian and Olli are now just looking for Judith to resolve her romantic angst. At least, that was what I got out of the exchange where she said Christian'd be doing everyone a favor by showering and he replied that she'd be doing everyone a favor by sorting out the Fabian thing.
To me that suggests he's getting a little weary of all this. At least he can argue that when he was torn between Coco and Olli he wasn't constantly going around lamenting about his woes (except in the chatroom). He was a pain in the neck in other ways, but nobody had to listen to him compare the two objects of his affection.
The breakfast exchange was also the two, slightly bemused, guys kind of hoping that Judith resolved things and subtly referring to their own recent experience. I think Christian was a little embarrassed by Olli's remark. But I also think that Christian was speaking in both the past and present tense in that "easy and relaxed" comment. Aside from the trauma of coming to terms with being in love with a man, he still has the lingering problem of being closeted to his brother and both his work environments (and probably school as well).
Judith's got it easy in comparison. Regardless of whether she selects the adorable hunk or the leering creep she at least won't have to deal with social disapproval. Just either a sad adorable hunk or an angry leering creep. At least she has two male roommates, one of them a boxer, to provide security if the stags start fighting outside the door.

One more thing: Neither of the guys are anywhere near short, I know, but is that door small is is Christian really that tall? Well, they're all quite tall: Jo is 1.84, Thore is 1.86, and Andreas 1.90. Sorry if I can't transform those measures into feet and inches, but your system is quite complicated to me, it really drives me crazy.. ;D If you like you can do that to help people overseas better understand what their actual height is. Amber, I like the new Consti's picture in your signature, he looks so gorgeous! I think the doorway, being part of the set, was designed smaller to better frame the various actors in shots. Btw, I love that new picture of Jo you have in your sig. Where did it come from?

There's a line in this episode where Christian says "Easy and relaxed, now that sounds like fun" He looks across at Olli and then the camera pans onto Olli's facial reaction. I'm totally undecided at how to read that. Judging by youtubers comments - they're alluding to it being a " knowing" look - as referring to something intimate or private between them - however I can't help but wonder if it's more of an " ironic" look - alluding to the fact that their life (so far) has been anything but easy or relaxed. After I downloaded the clip from sendspace yesterday (Thank you, Nana!) and watched it again, I was wondering about the same thing. A couple of possibilities for a "good read" on it have settled out, at least for now. First, I think it's a general comment on Judith thinking she can take it in a relaxed and easy fashion. The boys have heard enough of the drama (and, despite frustration, keep inviting her to tell them more ) to know that it's like to continue as drama rather than relaxed and easy. Second, if there is any reference to the relationship between Olli and Christian, it would probably be a reference to the drama queen/never be boring thing from the previous episode, and not so much direct commentary on the state of the relationship (or how Christian might like it to be). The looks between Christian and Olli would make sense to me in either case. But I'm certain the case could certainly be made for other "readings" of the line and the exchange of looks, too.

Well, you can't really compare Chris to Judith, imho. Yes, both have had their good portion of angst, but Christian would have never told anyone about his love problems. And that had nothing to do with him being in love with a guy. I think it's all about personalities. Chris hardly talked about Coco too back when there were troubles in paradise. I don't recall him mentioning them to anyone. Maybe once or twice to Olli and to Gregor, but it was just in passing. He *never* went on babbling about her. I think he's too reserved. That's why he felt comfortable in opening his heart only when chatting.
Judith? she's different. She *seeks* advice. C? not so much. For some reason, I keep associating -sort of- Christian to-omg guys don't kill me now! Yes, I'm going to out myself and feel so ashamed, but whatever- Angel from BtVS. You know? The mysterious, loyal, but brooding kind of man that'll never talk about his feelings unless he's forced too. *runs and hides under a rock* I know, I know, it's not the same thing, but what can I say. My brain scares me sometimes

He couldn't verbalize his feelings except anonymously on an internet chatroom. However, I don't think Judith actually seeks advice so much as simply wanting someone to use as a sounding board. The funny scene in the bathroom (March 27/08) in which she went on and on about Fabian to Christian, not allowing him to get a word in edgewise, but then thanking him for all his help at the end is a classic example of this.

you're probably right about it. It's just that...uh, ok, see, sometimes one go to a friend and starts talking about their problems and just talking about them, the solution kind of pops up by itself. I lost count of how many times that happened to me and I was like, "you know what? nevermind. I figured it out. Thanks, though". What I was trying to say is that to me, that counts as "seeking" advise even if there's no real interaction. I probably used the wrong verb here, though. But yeah, maybe the sounding board comparison fits better. *g* I just haven't thought of Judith that much. Ollian kind of interests me more

Which is a big part of the humor when she goes off on one of her tangents, because you're absolutely right, she's not really listening so much as verbalizing her own thoughts. I still think the incident in the bathroom contributed to Christian's firm conviction that he is now gay. But that's probably why Christian got snippy with her this last time. He's a suffer-in-silence sort of guy and I think Judith's different method of handling this kind of conflict is starting to get on his nerves. If we were employing American stereotypes about European behavior I'd say that Christian comes across as very "German" (reserved and somewhat terse), while Judith is acting almost "Italian" (impassioned and slightly manic).

I think you do not have to be the quiet guy to have enough of Judith' agonising. It kind of monopolises all conversation, too. C told her she should finally stop talking about it and do something. And when he saw her coming in the morning, he thought he would hear about the happy ending, but instead he got another dose of the usual. This was probably main source of the annoyance.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Is that the way Americans think of Italians? because, sheesh. Yeah, yeah, I know, you were talking about stereotypes...
