Yeah, common sense is always out the window for plot convenience.
So I'm assuming that around episode 8 is when this "Linda" person comes in and starts the drama and shakes things up.

I am a bit befuddled by the last part, I don't know if it was a translation error or what - but I really felt like something was missing there. Guitar's explanation to Solo didn't really seem to answer anything. The beach scene was nice when they were hugging - but I think Solo is still a bit too reserved. Dr. Perth is definitely jealous. Khim is still the worst shipper ever. Dr. Petch is oblivious to the pain he is causing Dr. Perth. I hope that this storyline is not going to go to some teenage crush from Khim's brother for Dr. Petch - because, yuck. Phu and Kao were nice together - but the actor behind Phu could use a little more coaching on scene delivery. I just do not see Guitar ever wearing a bunny shirt - Phu had to have specially bought that for Kao. I have a lot of questions about everyone's ages. How old is Khim? How old is her brother? How old are the "Drs? Are they residents or have they completed med school? Dr. Perth & Dr. Petch are still in school but we don't know their age. The bunny shirt belonged to Solo, not Guitar. Solo & Phu are actual brothers and I think they used to live together.

Dr. Petch - you are an idiot. Not only do you have your best friend mad at you because you toyed with his feelings, now you are toying with a boy's feelings.
Well I am glad that they got Phu and Kao shirtless in the pool - it was very strange that everyone was pretty much fully clothed and playing in the pool during Kao's birthday party. Phu's trick for holding his breath was fun. They actually have a lot of chemistry together.
Gui - if your boyfriend gets in a fight and hits you (even accidentally) during the altercation - you should really have some stern words with him. That scene was just not okay.
Jay is really pretty - here's hoping that he will be a good guy (and better yet have a guy of his own in the future).

I'm like all of them knew they were coming to a pool party and nobody brought swimming trunks to wear. Also when all of Kao's friends disappeared I was wondering how long it was going to take for Phu to notice that they never came back. "I don't know if I can open my heart for you, but as far as I know I've never let anyone in except you" Phu's line stayed in my head all night.

Well, the light fluffy show decided to go for the tear-jerkers today. Sad Gui is very hard to watch - Petch can really act out the ugly tears of grief in a very believable way. I hate it a little bit, that I think he had better (or more consistent?) rapport with the actress playing Big Momma then he has with Solo.
Kao and Phu were cute together - Phu draping his coat over the chilled Kao was nice. Though Phu's friend seemed a bit off - I kind of wonder if he secretly had a crush on Phu.
The Doctors seem to be back to working together again and little in the way of uncomfortable scenes between Dr. Petch and Khem (though Khem bringing coffee for the Dr is probably a sign that he is still crushing on the doctor). I am kind of surprised that Khim ran away during Physical Therapy - she must really be sick, because otherwise she would have taken some outrageous liberties with pushing the doctors together.
If Khim knew that her brother was interested in guys - she would make Judit look like an amateur over on GayaSaPelikula in terms of smothering acceptance.

For an episode that started so good with both the Solo-Gui and Phu-Kao pairings, that was quite the crazy ending.
The Doctor has messed up once again. But the worst part is meeting Solo's fiancee - no wonder Jay has been bugging them so much.

While I haven't watched today's episode yet, I have to say that I think they wasted a good chunk of the season. They could have set up this conflict with Solo's dad much earlier and ignored the doctors storyline (which seemed to go nowhere and was mostly isolated from the rest of the show).

Ok, I know this series has asked us to accept a few surprising plot twists, such as lonely, barely-coherent university student Solo suddenly being revealed as a secret and successful business executive who negotiates multi-million baht contracts for his dad's company (and who has been doing so since the age of 15!) helped by his assistant, who turns out to be his secret fiancé and who herself has only now just reached the stage of going for an internship... but...
but... I don't think I can swallow the fact that Solo has been locked up in a room, barely eaten ("for weeks" according to Jay) and has become so desperate that he's trashed the room, yet doesn't seem to have thought about trying to escape out of the unlocked window before now. And what's the point of having henchmen on the door when they don't seem to consider that there might be a plucky bunny like Kao who will just waltz in that unlocked window and help Solo escape? (Not sure how he did it though, they were several storey's up and it would have taken a fire-engine ladder to reach that window!)
Still, Solo found his way into the arms of Guitar, who's so fed-up with his own internship that he agreed to run away with Solo without a moments hesitation - and to hell with the promise he made to Big Mama. Oh, and the rubbish henchmen should be sacked for their lacklustre attempt at stopping the escape from the carpark. Kao even gave them the longest visual clue of what was going on by being obvious and looking back at Solo and Gui in the other car, who in turn were more interested in looking back at them than trying to escape.
To be honest, none of this made any sense at all, so the only thing I can think of is that Solo hasn't actually escaped from his prison room and has just imagined all this while in a delusional state... Oh well, only one episode to endure to find out.
On a brighter note, we didn't have to put up with too much of annoying Khim and the world's biggest imbecile Dr Petch, and we did get some nice scenes between sad bunny and Phu - which reminds me, how old is Phu's mother meant to be? She looks like she must have had him when she was about ten!
*Please excuse me. I'm just feeling snarky today!*

Yeah - I had the same thought when I watched, I really thought the mother was going to turn out to be a sister, so quite shocked when she turned out to be Phu's mother (But I also felt that Solo's dad isn't quite old enough to have a son that old either). Though I think technically, she is his step-mother - didn't his mother die during the home invasion where Phu's brother was hurt?
I have to say that Boss's portrayal of Khao has been the standout performance in this weird, wacky show. I really feel like he is completely smitten with Phu - and the two actors do a great job of working together - the little smiles from Phu when Khao does something cute are amazing.
Linda is definitely getting the evil girlfriend edit in spades.
And an episode with very little of the Doctors and Khim is probably a good thing.

Totally agree with you. If it wasn't for Phu and Kao I think I would have struggled to keep up with this series. Kao's whole puppy-dog persona appeals to me quite a lot and the scenes of his gradual breaking down of Phu's internal barriers have been the most entertaining part of the show to watch. I reckon they'll probably be the only thing I'll miss when this finishes... unlike that horrible harp music they play every time Solo and Guitar are on screen. Ughh! This is how Solo's dad usually looks in real life:

Much to young to have a son in college I have to admit he cleans up very nicely - as I quite enjoy seeing him on the show.

I have to say, both parents look way too young to be parents to university kids. Like why? It can't be that hard to find some older actors to be the parents?

Things I liked in the finale:
1. Jay looked really hot in a pair of skinny jeans (though I was kind of hoping Dad would reach over and hold his hand while they watched Solo-Guitar in the pool) 2. Khao got some good news. 3. Linda didn't get the complete total witch ending that I thought she was going to - she seemed actually okay with Solo-Gui as a pair.
Things I didn't like:
Pretty much everything else.
Why make such a big deal about the presentations, and then show almost none of Guitar's? Something so high stakes should have been shown.
I guess Solo was not hallucinating last week - Guitar was actually there.
The kiss in the pool was well done - but haven't we seen that same scene in much better shows like Dark Blue Kiss and various versions of Skam? Solo and Guitar had slightly better chemistry this episode.
I still wish they had skipped the doctors, Khim and Khem storyline completely. It seemed like Dr. Perth is actually interested in Khem??? I thought in the books the Doctors get together?
Well hopefully Boss (Khao) will go on to bigger and better things. If there is a season 2, I might watch - this has been okay fluff, though easily overshadowed by some far superior Filipino shows that have aired at the same time.

So... all that nonsensical escape malarkey last week wasn't just Solo being delusional. It actually happened and Gui really did decide to forgo his promise to Big Mama and all his other hopes and dreams to go on the run forever with his clingy boyfriend. Except, it wasn't forever really, it was just to the nearest petrol station where Solo's declined credit-card caused Gui to suddenly rationalise that Solo was just being selfish and they needed to go back or else break-up. Sheesh! Where did that come from?
For some reason Kao was present to help broker a deal between Solo and his dad for everything to return back to normal and Gui had an 11th hour epiphany on how to improve the company based on the fact the kind driver giving him a lift passed a basket of fruit to a market seller... Cool!
So, after his vague presentation helped Gui pass his internship with flying colours we get a whole sequence of cloying scenes in which all the bullies are revealed to be ever so nice people after all and they were just acting mean to Gui to inspire him to do better... well, that's alright then. Solo's dad remained a block of ice throughout (even in the scene where he promised Solo he would be a better father he could barely look at him) so the idea of him then adopting a spirited kid like Moon just seemed like a totally unrealistic development to me - and wasn't this only until Solo and Gui had finished University and could adopt him properly themselves?
It was nice that Kao got the last minute good news from Phu that he was coming back to Thailand 'for work' and I liked that it gave them a happy ending but wasn't it the case last week that the little brother needed him over in England all the time and Phu told Kao there was no way he could stay in Thailand any longer even if he wanted to? Oh well, maybe the little brother has started talking again, or maybe it's just rubbish writing. Who knows?
If this show had been made a few years ago I might have fawned over it like I did with SOTUS but the BL genre has moved on so much since then and watching 'harmless but idiotic' Thai product doesn't really cut it anymore. I don't know if there will be a second season but if there is, I hope to god it will be centred around Kao/Phu with a large dollop of Doctor Perth to entice me back.

Yeah, I kind of thought Dr. Perth was a much under-used gem - completely overwhelmed by Dr. Petch and Khim. (But then again, a nonsensical plot with him having the chance to mouth more than a few throw-away lines might change my perspective).

Yah, I agree with everything that antistatic said. Originally, I liked the interactions between Gui and Solo, but ever since they introduced the dad and the business heir thing, it just felt non-sensical. I also agree that the storyline with the doctors and the siblings is really really bad. It got bad enough that by midway through the series, I just skip any scenes with them in it. I don't feel like I lost anything from skipping those scenes either, which is not what you want when writing a show.
